theyre going for the minimalist approach and simplified lineup and its working. they still rank high amongst esports players and overall playerbase. the only reason they arent as dominant anymore is because theres just more competition in the market.
the reason they are still popular is the past and glazing. Just like Intel was for many years, since ryzen launched intel didnt offer value for gamers, and they are almost bankrupt. Esports players use gpx 1 and 2 because they dont know much about tech and sponsors, a valorant team probably lost a tournament because many of them were using the 60% logitech keyboard that doesnt have rapid trigger and they still charge 150-200$.
@JumbobI’d say that most pros are ignorant about the peripherals, settings and pc’s they use, that’s why I never buy something because “the pros use it so it has to be good”
the logitech g600 was one of the best MMO mouses ever. They discontinued it and getting spares for a decent price is ridiculous. I used to be able to pick up used spare mice for ~15$ USD on ebay. Now im stuck with razer's naga and corsair's scimitar.
I have a lot of Logitech stuff: G502 Hero mouse, love it . Had it for years. TKL Keyboard, think it's called Pro? no complaints, had it for years. Well, some characters are gone leaving only a lit center, I type a LOT. G13 that I bought in 2014, lost without it. G27 wheel, pedals and shifter, no complaints. Yes, years. I ended up NOT liking my Logitech wireless headset, gave that away. Now use AKG headphones and AKG P220 mic hooked to a Behringer U-Phoria UM2 I don't keep up with the Jones, if it works and I like it, I use it into the ground.
I buy a mouse like every 5 years maybe. My g604 is fine for now... but there's no replacement for it. They have like 50 versions of the 502 though. Sucks. I just like having extra thumb buttons ever since my wonderful G700s (WHICH ALSO HAD NO SUCCESSOR).
I have the logitech g pro, needed a new headset and wanted to stay with the Logitech software. Ended up getting a g733 headset and it was really bad for the price. Mic was horrible and the sound quality wasnt up to my standards (which were pretty low considering its a gaming headset) Returned it and got the arctis nova 7's and they are so much better in every way.
they did change the skates on the gpx 2, they made it flare out(or vise versa cant remember) , so all those skates from the 1 is not compatible. You wanna talk about the scroll wheel issues, you ever use a Zowie 🤣

My logitech headset wires were not soldered. They actually use like a glue gun to attach the wires. Logitech has lost credibility.

The only thing Logitech got right, was onboard profiles. Once other superior companies do the same Logitech will fade away
Logitech is doing the same as Intel or actually even worse but because of glazers they arent bankrupt like intel almost is.
They are full of DEI hires now and that's why they are turning to crap.
