    Really love the videos guys. I watched quite a few RUclips videos of golfers saying do this to draw a ball or turn grip like this or your stance like this and never would explain how it physically changed the flight of the ball. But you guys explain every detail and "HOW" a particular swing can affect the flight. It really has helped me a lot to learn without an actual instructor with me telling me how to fix a slice

    ... and that is why, or partly, I hit a few pull hooks. Great explanation. So logical and clear.

    Why would the AOA with a driver be 4 degrees down……I’m always told have an upward AOA with a driver

    I always aimed left a little bit and hit up 2-4 degrees. This is why i push fade and even push slice my drives…i dont aim right nearly enough.

    Interesting stuff, but aim what? There is not one mention in the video about where the club face is aiming. If the first guy, the pro is hitting down at 4 degrees and his club face is aiming at the target, then surely the ball must start close to target line and end up left?
    [Hasn't Trackman proven that club face direction is the main influence on ball starting path - and assuming he gets the draw-spin suggested, the ball is going left?]
    As a player, I can aim my clubface and try to aim my swing direction. I understand that AoA affects the true swing path but I can't make any sense of the video when it simply talks of aiming right. Aim what? (Cub face, swing direction, both?)
    I also believe that it is possible to be swinging down with the club head moving towards the body (for example towards the very end of an over the top swing). Or for that matter to have the club moving away at the start of the upswing.

      exactly, hiting down on the ball, swinging in to out, w the clubface open causes a draw. i know i hit up on my driver while still swinging in to out

      MurtxD I can appreciate the frustration however they're clearly referring to the swing plane in relation to your bodies orientation to the target. Therefore it's also assumed that the club face is neutral and aiming in the same direction.
      It's something experienced players do automatically depending on the shot they're playing, they are merely highlighting the point for those who presume that the feet should always be square to the target because that is what they've been taught in they're lessons.

    So someone please confirm this for me, if i want to hit up on my driver to improve my launch angle i therfore have to aim to the right to compensate for the clubface? In otherwords do i have to aim to the right if i want a higher launch angle for my drives?

      If you want to draw the ball, yes....given your face is square or neutral and depending the degree you are hitting up.

    How many yards right of target is a swing direction of 4* right at about 250 yards?

    • @jussipollari955
      @jussipollari955 7 лет назад +2

      Quick math suggest little over 4 yards per degree at that distance, so 15-20 yards should be correct. (Nice Finnish last name you have)

    ***** Would say for the Tour Player to get optimum carry distance & increase his driver distances you'd need to be working to change his -AoA into a +AoA by changing his swing path. Negative AoA at his swing speed for every minus degree of downward AoA he'll lose approximately 7 yards of distance.

    over complicating the shit out of a swing either you can or you can't
