  • This week we’re wrapping up our small detour into the world of film with the Netflix original Rebel Moon - Part 2: The Scargiver. What this movie lacks in original storytelling and fighting robots it makes up for with slow motion shots, wheat swaying in the sun and slow motion shots of wheat swaying in the sun. In this episode we discuss broken promises, wheat, assassinations, string quartets, farmers, communism, spontaneous singing, robots, tunnels, ghost hands, teeth, god slaves, coal eating, plagiarism and so much more! So, if you just absolutely insist on occasionally doing movies, may I suggest the 1990 movie directed by Richard Stanley, Hardware?
It stars, Dylan McDermott and Stacey Travis. There also cameos of, Iggy Pop and Lemmy and GWAR (sort of). The movie also makes less then no sense. They aired it on HBO a lot around the same time "Naked Lunch" was also being aired. While my first watching of 'Naked Lunch" was absolutely confusing for my highschool freshman brain it did make more and more sense the more I watched. That doesn't happen with ”Hardware". It made no more the tenth time I watched.
There's a scrap metal welding art instillation that comes to life because of fractals or something. I do remember it being oddly watchable for some reason. It's not good but somehow I still watched it so many times.
