It's weird because as a kid I never had to write anything down, never took notes, never forgot dates, events, or responsibilities and now note taking is a skill I'm still struggling to learn in my late 20's.

I don't like the comparison to sending Creed or Blink 182 cause they weren't openly in support of the state, the countries explicitly choose the singers they send to that awful competition so it'd be like sending Toby Keith to do Beer For My Horses. Don't tell me it's not a political statement when it is chosen by the Israeli government. And the entire contest bans Palestinian flags. And I'm Irish, no European nation dislikes Israel more than us, we were under apartheid for decades on decades. The way the Israeli soldiers are acting is even worse than the atrocities committed by British soldiers. She shouldn't have gone to that shit anyway, so embarrassing.

Yeah but the Palestinians themselves also tried to exterminate the Jews at many points. Which i also find it amusing that a Catholic country wants to align with an entity that has jihad as one of their beliefs. And if you want racism, I'll point out your Irish buddies in the States. Like Mark Wahlberg.

So, if you just absolutely insist on occasionally doing movies, may I suggest the 1990 movie directed by Richard Stanley, Hardware? It stars, Dylan McDermott and Stacey Travis. There also cameos of, Iggy Pop and Lemmy and GWAR (sort of). The movie also makes less then no sense. They aired it on HBO a lot around the same time "Naked Lunch" was also being aired. While my first watching of 'Naked Lunch" was absolutely confusing for my highschool freshman brain it did make more and more sense the more I watched. That doesn't happen with ”Hardware". It made no more the tenth time I watched. There's a scrap metal welding art instillation that comes to life because of fractals or something. I do remember it being oddly watchable for some reason. It's not good but somehow I still watched it so many times.

The fame was pretty much her shot at mainstream success, and it served its purpose of starting the gagamania. It's purpose wasn't to be the best album ever lol, she later peaked with born this way. I think she definitely had to start in the industry as a "stereotypical"? Pop star if you can even call gaga stereotypical, to really gain the attention of the public (and have her label promote her) to later be able to expand her artistry and experiment or honestly have the privilege to be creative and not subscribe to the typical pop star forma. Thats my take from being a long time fan. You should reeally listen to marry the night, the edge of glory, and omg you should watch her 2009 vma performance of paparazzi! She plays the piano exceptionally, shes really an artist in every sense of the word.. even though that might not be that evident in the first record, her live acoustic performances with the piano from that era really hinted what was about to come and made me really respect her raw artistry, aside from all her crazy antics and showmanship lol.. and then the culd she has really derives from the fact that shes not hesitant to speak her mind on human relationships, political and social issues in a way i have never seen a public figure do. Omg I cant not comment on smth else mentioned too 20:56 : especially her early work might not seem like it has any depth to it at face value, but think of paparazzi. Combined with the vma performance, it clearly paints the picture of celebrities being stripped of their humanity by the media, losing their sense of control over their life, until they are mentally crashed. It can be interperated as: "Im your biggest fan, ill follow you unitl you love me" meaning the objectification of celebs and female pop stars, the obsession with fame culture while neglecting the mental state of the "object". Its a very self contradicting album if you as me, as its delivering to the conumer what can be easily written off as a brainless dance record, while reprobating our twisted perception of fame, and thats really expanded on dance in the dark, a track from tfm, where she explicitly references princess diana. Oh and about her "ok" voice Watch her sound of music tribute.. thats just the one i could think fron the top of my head

Fun fact : Billy Joel is a gargantuan douche . My uncle became good friends with him in high school but once he started becoming successful and famous he dropped him like a bad habit. He’s also abusive to servers and a terrible tipper. Whether this is a function of his ethnic extraction or merely incidental to it is purely academic . He also routinely drove his Mercedes while wasted and eventually smashed it into a tree. And he’s just a hack in general
