- Enjoy a resort hopping experience video on the Magic Kingdom Resort Monorail! This video also serves as a construction update at the Polynesian and Grand Floridian, and also shows a sneak peak at the Halloween decorations that are being put up at the Magic Kingdom! The Mickey wreaths(and maybe the Cinderella ones from the 50th) still haven't been put up, so I'm waiting for them before filming everything. This was filmed on August 2nd 2023 from around 1:15pm - 4pm

Every time I go to DisneyWorld, I resort hop. It's my thing! I jump on from Disney Springs, head over to Magic Kingdom and then I'm off either on the ferry or the monorail. It's a great way to spend a day actually. Unfortunately, due to safety reasons, I can see this eventually ending because they'll wanna see a band to show that you're actually staying wherever you travel to. Don't know how they'll do it but they'll figure out a way and then we'll just talk about the good old days of when we got to do that. Decades ago, you didn't even need a ticket to get through TSA to head to the gates. In the 90's, you could literally just walk right into the airport and to the gate and watch the planes come in. I used to take my son to the airport for fun so that he could stand at the glass window and watch all of them coming and going. Disney will eventually be like that with the monorail/ferry hopping :(. If not for security reasons, they'll do it because it's fun and free! :)

I always loved the monorail rides when coming to Disney. I even loved the monorail at the airport lol.
It was a nice change of pace for Saturday, going through the Magic Kingdom resorts the best part of this video was the monorail leaving grand floridian with the view of seven seas lagoon, and going through the Contemporary Resort was a great touch

Every time you show The Poly, makes me want to change my reservation in November from The Contemporary! Halloween is here! (well, there!) But it is so neat, gliding into the station int he Grand Canyon Concourse at The Contemporary!! OH MY GOSH!!! “Who What Why Where When and How Day!! playing in the background when you are in BVG!!! Taking me back to my preteen days!!! Seeing all that is around these resorts…and knowing what is in store for me at AKL in September, in spite of having an AP now, I am so tempted to book a Resort Only stay (well, plan resort only…but I know I’ll wander into the parks (maybe just not the focus of my activities). Wonderful/Wanderful Tour of the Monorail Resorts 4K!!!
I mean if you did make the change, I don’t think you’d regret it! You can’t go wrong with either of them. Haha I’ve tried the resort only stays but I always end up in the parks eventually😂 Thank you so much as always!

I’m a WDW resort junkie 😅, I can spend days going to the resorts and not even going to the parks.I actually prefer that in the hot weather months. Doing the Monorail Crawl is something we do almost every trip
For sure! Resort hopping is just as fun as going to the parks, in fact even more fun sometimes!
I really love the Monorail at WDW! It could almost be called a thrill ride because of being up high on a narrow rail and it goes pretty fast!!
We love going to all the hotels when we go there and see all the new things that are new from before.

🥰Poly🥰Been hoping you’d do a summer version of your gingerbread resort hopping lol. I guess it really is quicker to build than refurbish because DLP is taking forever. (Or I’m just itchy) GF-Glad this time the overhang was more help for the sun than rain. And DON’T do that! I spit out my drink with that shot of the cherry-picker worker. Give me the willies why don’t ya 🤢😁. Love the floor inlays were featured. All- I appreciate seeing the resort designed Loungeflys/ears. They put bunting back in the Front of the rr station. I’m good, will love everything but those d*arn carriage’s wreaths. Better not be put up😉Abu approved dear💣💜
They really are building the DVC tower super fast! Literally everyday it looks bigger/different. The DLP hotel refurbishment is taking way too long honestly! I would’ve been back this summer if the work was done. Lol I also get a little queasy watching those workers on the lifts, I don’t know how they do it!! I hope those Cinderella carriage wreaths don’t come back, I want Mickey to take over all of Main Street like he used to! Thank you so much as always Liz!!

And then I got to the Grand Floridian--😱 Wow. Is this just cleaning and repainting or have the changes begun? I'm not too enthusiastic about those either--really hope they don't strip all the originality from the classiest resort.
The changes have begun. So far they’ve started changing the color scheme of the interior. Hopefully it won’t be too big of a change, because there really wasn’t a reason to alter the look of the lobby at all

My favorite resort is Caribbean Beach, but the Polynesian is my 2nd favorite!
OK, and now my not so positive addition; I HATE the ugly DVC tower going up; another soulless concrete and glass corporate office that ruins the theming of the best resort on WDW property. Look at Bay Lake Tower, and compare it to the Contemporary. One has character; the other is just dull. Why, oh why can't they learn from the EPCOT area resorts and make the DVC additions match the design and theming of the main hotel? They did it at Beach Club, and Boardwalk--this new tower should nave been the same. The Grand Floridian's matches flawlessly--as do the Boulder Ridge Villas. It can be done. So why these ugly modern things?
