I actually extensively experimented with this section, it looks like at the source of the sound (you'll have to move around where its loudest some more); there's an object you can interact with that'll initiate an ending.
There's also some freaky bug-like things crawling around the source of the sound, it's super spooky >_>

There is also a second sound source that gives you a jumpscare here. Seems like it only happens if you walk away from the source of the noise to silence for too long

No, that's in white space/INTEGER_OVERFLOW - you can tell because it says Gor's catchphrase "How Bothersome" and because it plays a twisted version of Gor's theme. I genuinely don't know what the chicken thing in the abyss is but it definitely isn't Gor.

Fun fact, you can find the creature that chases you down before it finds you. But as far as I know, you can’t do anything when you do. I could be wrong.
