Yup, for the most I recognize some of these early 2000's commercials... I like how after every commercial; Peebs is using the line from Shark Tank, when the "Sharks" don't a take deal with the inventor or something like that... 10:27 - 11:15 ---> I had a middle school teacher who wore those things... 15:28 ---> _"Get into it"_
Honestly when the Betty Crocker commercial came on, I forgot I was watching RUclips for a second. Felt like I was a kid again, watching TV at my Grandma’s house.
Hey Peebs, if you’re confused on “Whiskers: The Kitten Who Can Name Fruit.” It was in fact a recurring segment on Cartoon Network’s Fridays. (It ran from 2003 to 2007 and was the replacement to Cartoon Cartoon Fridays.) Great video as always!!
i came here to say this still til this day, i have no idea why they did this segment anyways. it would just be 1 fruit in between certain commercial breaks especially during the prime time cartoon network hour
I was wondering why this seemed so familiar, that explains it. I must've repressed the memory of it because it was such a confusing and short-lived concept. Though the kitten is very adorable, just don't get the point of it either
Oh boy! As someone who grew up in the 2000s, the commercials of this time, hit you harder than your grandpa suddenly having a heart attack during the family reunion.
I love how peanut butter used season 0 Yami as the picture for when they were talking about copying the Yu-Gi-Oh card. A season 0 Yami wouldn't sue, he would emotionally scar and kill.
I have no idea what it was supposed to be advertising, but that last commercial sure made me want to buy a kitten with the implanted brain and vocal chords of a small child.
Holy cow, I've seen that Betty Crocker Bake n Fill commercial so much, it's a wonder I didn't ask my dad to buy it. I don't even know if he knew how to bake, now that I think about it. I think he did make homemade pizza on occasion. I should do that sometime, I miss that.
While I don't do it very often, nor for more than a bite or two, I've certainly never been above occasionally grabbing a handful of cereal from a box to munch on as a light snack. Particularly when I want a snack, but don't have any actual snack items like chips, or crackers.
I wanna cry tears of joy seeing whiskers the kitten unlocked such a deep memory for me omg I can't believe I forgot all about whiskers 😭😭 thank you for unlocking thus memory for me again!!
I remember so many of these commercials! The 2000's were wild! And I actually had Bumpits 😆 they worked well, but you had to bobby pin some hair over the piece or else it would show as you moved throughout the day. Eventually it got annoying to do every day, and then I got an Emo haircut so I had all the volume I needed from the layers 🤣 And my mom still uses her Aqua Globes, although the cats broke a couple, I think.
I remember seeing Aqua Globes a lot when I was a kid. My mom tried them but they only last for maybe 2 weeks at the most and they're a pain to refill if you have a bunch of plants.
Just in case anyone forgot noodle in the 90s and early 2000s was a slang term for brain so get your noodle going was just a slang term for get your brain moving
My grandma ACTUALLY used an aqua globe! I always wondered what they were called but never asked. Although it was like 2012, so a while after it was made. Can't remember if it worked though...
God i miss these types of completely demented commercials. At least i would remember the product even if it was just because i saw it in my nightmares every night!
1:06 this commercial is totally not realistic, whenever I whisper about Betty Crocker's baking accessories into people's ears, they never act that excited. They usually just give me weird looks or say "who are you get out of my house."
All the ads I remember seeing before, Aquaglobe, Kool aid Mad Scientwist, the Betty Crocker cake thing, the bump it's the Ritz Smores and pizza flavors, the craft mac and cheese commercials, the Nestea skeleton snowman, the Oreos commercials, the Burger King Pokemon toys, America online 6.0 ad, cereal straws, Fruit gushers ad.
13:34 My family has those! (or at least have one. I think the others got shattered). They're kinda useful except for the fact that the tube is so thin that it always gets clogged up with dirt and then the water won't come out. It's so hard to get the dirt out, too. It's easier to actually just give the plant a drink every few days yourself than leave it to the mercy of those finicky things.
I remember the commercial for the Betty Crocker pans and for some reason always wanted them lol Edit: I actually remember most of these, but always wanting just the cooking (and Nintendo) stuff haha
I literally took my BumpIt to the salon for my brother's wedding (I was a bridesmaid) and I'll never forgot how the stylist thought it was the coolest invention ever! My hair was huge and I felt beautiful then but looking back, oh lawrd 🤣🤣
Man, that Nestea snowman brought back some ancient memories for me. I always loved that commercial because I never considered the concept of a snowman's skeleton.
I do remember some of these commercials, especially the legend Billy Mays. No one can match his energy for these infomercials, it made it worth sticking through them when he came on because he was just so fun to watch.
Oh, man. So many things I remember but haven't thought about in years. The sumo Ritz, the pizza Ritz, the snowman skeleton, the Bake 'n' Fill pan, the really peeved stick figures dropping dollar signs into wastebaskets...
God the opening one with the hand and the soda machine was so nostalgic and that cursed shit was buried deep within my consciousness. Thanks for bringing these memories back :D.
Not even gonna lie I have vague memories from when I was a kid of people using those aqua sphere things but I had completely forgotten about it till this video
In regards to the DigiDraw... Whoever "invented" that product copied a set up i've seen professional animators use before. In the earlier days of animated films artists used to put glass over slides and literally paint over already drawn frames (usually the same artists who drew the frames were tracing over them) to create the animations. I remember seeing my uncle, who had done some work as an animator for a few Saturday morning cartoons (when i was a kid and those were a thing) use that kind of reflection tool to draw animation frames. He had a light desk in his office for work as well which he used more often. Tools like that make animating a faster process. In a similar vein, i've seen painters use projectors to trace their drawings or photos onto canvases before starting with the paint. It's a similar idea to tattoo artists using rub-on stencils as a guide for the design they're tattooing onto the skin. I don't think kids copying coloring book pages or whatever is the same as art plagiarism. Tracing can actually be a good tool for learning to draw. Now, if someone were to claim a traced drawing as an original or try to sell it, that's a whole different thing. Having found some of my own art for sale by randos online (i do reverse image searches on my more important pieces every few years or so) that sucks ass. But if a little kid wanted to copy my art just for funsies or to help them get some drawing practice or help learn an art concept or something, i would find that adorable and sweet.
These 2000's commercials are always super fun to make. Hope you guys like it!
Recognize any of these?? I recognized at LEAST half of them, personally.
The first one i remember from a random yt vid
I remember the People PC one

@@LordPichuPalThe kitten is dead now. Hope this helps!

I remember Aqua Globes, they didn't do well when you could find their off brand counterparts for 99¢.
Yugi won’t waste time and money suing you. He’ll send you to the shadow realm.
Pegasus would though.
Oh my gosh. I remember the Betty Crocker cake fill pan! I also remember the Giant Cupcake kit, but isn’t a giant cupcake just a cake?
@13:34 Holy Crap! Aqua Globes?? my mother STILL has those in her flowers downstairs!
This cat is really impressive. He can name way more fruits than an usual cat.
Oh boy! As someone who grew up in the 2000s, the commercials of this time, hit you harder than your grandpa suddenly having a heart attack during the family reunion.
Wow I never noticed how much these 2000s commericals use inanimate objects to sell their products. Really creative stuff there 🤣
I remember a pretty good amount of these commercials! It's crazy what companies thought to come up with to get people's attention. Great video peebs!
I love how peanut butter used season 0 Yami as the picture for when they were talking about copying the Yu-Gi-Oh card. A season 0 Yami wouldn't sue, he would emotionally scar and kill.
You know a day is good when PBG uploads on Peebs.
Whiskers: The Kitten Who Names Fruit made my day. 10/10 reactions as always, Peebs
How’s Whiskers the Kitten doing nowadays? Hope he’s still alive.
these old 00s ads were some of the weirdest things ever created... and i barely even remember ANY of them since i didnt grow up with cable.
I remember why I'm afraid to watch TV now, I grew up with strange and creepy commercials.
The cat at the end said goodbye was cute
Should've ended it with a final "and with that, I'm out."
Alternatively, PBG should say, “Dingleberries!” (referencing that cat one)
Some of these brought back trauma I didn't know I had.
Thanks Peebs!
13:04 It's so weird seeing something from my childhood specific to my area now talked about by a much wider audience
As a 90's kid, the sheer amount of nostalgia from these commercials. My goodness. I didn't expect to remember so many of them. Great show, Peebs.
Mega Man pfp nice
Why can't commercials nowadays go this hard? They could've easily done so.
The best kind of commercials.
True dat
Agreed 👍
I have no idea what it was supposed to be advertising, but that last commercial sure made me want to buy a kitten with the implanted brain and vocal chords of a small child.
it was horrifying to have these dug up from the darkest recesses of my memory
I love these commercials, unnatural horrors and all.
I love whiskers. i wish they went on longer of just a cat meowing at random
also i love the fruits he said we humans dont know. you gotta go to the cat demesion to find out what they are
I just kept lauhin at that kitten, the cute voice just listing fruits and that it just kept going.
Nothing in this world felt worse as a kid than a Razor scooter spinning and hitting you straight in the ankles/calves.
peebs needs to try items found on tv (like an in-depth review on how fex tape is 100% better than regular tappe)
I actually did an As Seen on TV PBG episode forever ago, but could be fun to do one again on this channel?
@@PeebsThat would be really fun! And also probably not very pleasant for your wallet. But mostly fun!

I remember in the 2000's when they invented bowls. Before that, I'd have to eat cereal out of my hands

1:54 I absolutely lost it when the live reaction just became a house fire lmao
"Billy needs a shower" made me laugh so hard for no reason

Yeah, but can the cats that knocked over those aqua globes name fruit ?
I remember most of these commercials Peebs is great at making me feel old haha
I love these videos because it's like opening a time capsule full of things I definitely didn't need to be reminded of but I'm glad I was
If you were a geezer like me, you would have known that the one Snapple commercial was a parody of the shower scene from the movie, Porky's.
It takes a real man to admit when he's wrong. We accept your apology and are happy our demands are being met😂
I remember seeing Aqua Globes a lot when I was a kid. My mom tried them but they only last for maybe 2 weeks at the most and they're a pain to refill if you have a bunch of plants.
I imagine a funnel would help the refilling process, if you could actually find one with a narrow enough neck to use.
This felt so nostalgic. Great video Pubes
Did... did you mean to misspell the channel name in that particular way? LOL
@@animeartist888 I didn't even notice the misspelling until you mentioned it. My eyes just naturally read it as Peebs out of expectation.
