@MI-gs1qo ... complain that they pay higher in tuition fees. Well, didn't these students see the dollar number before they so desperately wanted admission and then a student visa. Canadians have no sympathy.
BTW, I have a young Chinese couple as s neighbour, she's doing a Masters and he's in the 4th year of mechanical engineering, both at UofT. These are the types of young folks Canada needs, not the rif raf going to dubious colleges who can hardly speak English.

Canadians are raised to not hate and to embrace diversity (including being taught this in all daycares/schools). People need to look at all sides.
India has a 29% unemployment rate amongst it's own graduates. One of the big reasons why young people are leaving India in droves, yes? Plus less than 50% of the 950 million working-age population in India is employed (compared to over 70% in other emerging markets). Amongst the Indian working group, many are self-employed and contain “unpaid helpers in family enterprises”. India has one of the highest emigration rates in the world. As many zero in on education as a way to gain access to a western country?
Did international students/families pay into Canadian taxes all their lives like domestic students have (earning cheaper tuition fees)? No. Plus Canada did NOT tell international students/parents to spend/risk their life savings on a "Canadian dream". Canada did NOT tell international students to borrow money. Canada did NOT promise international students work. Canada did NOT promise international students money. Canada did NOT promise international students PERMANENT RESIDENCY.
Meanwhile freelance agents have been operating in an unbridled market in India. Often by painting a distorted picture of what students can receive from Canada. Plus in recent years, a new type of recruitment has cropped up via foreign nationals as many "edu-tech" have created online platforms to connect millions of potential students with the recruiters. The sub-agents have absolutely no no direct connection with the Canadian college. Plus the college has no no ability to control their conduct. Indian sham operations abused/abusing Indian students in person &/or via massive advertising. PRIMARILY in their native language that most Canadians do NOT understand. Painting a false picture in their minds (of what Canada could or would or should offer).
Canadians are seeing primarily Indians protesting & waving their flags on Canadian streets making demands. Because they may not have enough credentials to remain in Canada? And because rules designed to protect CANADA are not meeting their desires? Why isn't there crowds of African or Caribbean or Filipino etc., students making demands? They're in Canada too.
And even though Canada is being falsely/unfairly blamed for too much, Canada has yet to deport students like crazy (but likely will soon). Instead Canada has been trying trying to find balance of who can stay vs go. While also trying to fix anything Canada did wrong. Create a better future. Why? Because Canadians actually care about doing so for both Canadians and international students.
Canada's own youth are also victims of the above mentioned scam artists now too. Due to a severe lack of homes & entry jobs now in Canada partially due to Indian STUDENTS swarming all post-secondary SCHOOLS then 95% of the unqualified fighting for PR vs returning home when their SCHOOLING ends! Many asking for asylum too (which rarely leads to PR).
    Questions:
⦁ What is India doing about any of this? After Canada told India to halt Ghost Consulting. Many Indians keep saying their politicians are corrupt. True? Plus Canada didn't have numerous PRIVATE 'diploma mills' until 40% of international students were from India. Coincidence? Schools that Canada is shutting down.
⦁ What about all the YT videos that primarily Indian nationals have posted (for half a decade now including today) all advertising Canadian PR like they're selling a product? Promoting Canadian visas & permits & schools & jobs etc. etc.. Videos not only posted hourly but rarely in English or French. With very very rare input from Canadian citizens.
⦁ What about the IELTS spouses? Anchor babies?
⦁ What about Canadian food banks & other charity services being recklessly advertised on YT in Indian languages?
⦁ What about Canadian housing being scooped up en-mass as investment vehicles by, and for, foreign nationals? Some home rental/boarding signs stating "vegetarians only can apply". Often these 'landlords' also cram 20 students in a small home and charge them each way too much for rent.
⦁ What about Indian nationals buying local businesses then repeatedly putting Indians only in the top tier positions (while also changing familiar work practices)? BC & Ontario are also outlawing the Caste System.
⦁ What about the Sikh vs Hindu violence/extortions across Canada? Diasporas stirring up tribal hatreds (in Canada) even though it all stems from their ancestral home. Why?????????
⦁ What about the Canadian government launching investigations in regards to foreign interference in Canadian elections, stemming from Asia continent? Canada also had to end flagpoling at the border.
Canadians are so so so not used to all this!! Do Indians care about Canadians suffering too?
Or do they primarily want to point fingers at the Canadian government etc., when many things weren't in Canada's control? Why should Canada pay for what Indians did to Indians?
Canadians want multi-culturism to succeed and for all people (including immigrants) to be okay. Now everyone I know is VERY happy with IRCC's recent changes (reductions & multifaceted investigations etc.). Including multi-generational long-term Asian Canadians MOST upset (by all of this).
PS Immigration being decreased in: Ontario, Quebec, British Columbia, The Maritimes, Alberta, Saskatchewan, & Manitoba. Chances are better for homebuilders, healthcare-givers and job CREATORS.

Biased take blaming Indian govt and Indians for your problems.
      1. India cannot do anything about Ghost Consulting. They are created in a structure that is across multiple national jurisdictions, helping them (consulting groups) evade scrutiny. “PRIVATE diploma mills” are literally on your soil operated by your own citizens/ PRs, what was your govt and govt officials doing about it. Most of these diploma mills are approved by the govt at the province and federal levels, WTF do you want Indian govt to do about it? Maybe ask your politicians and govt officials about corruptions when they were approving the mills.
      2. What do you want Indian govt to do about the YT videos? Like seriously, if your govt felt that the content was misinformation, your govt could have asked YT to take down videos or even channels.
      3. Visas for spouses of students is actually your govt's policy, what do you expect Indian govt to do about it? If your govt felt that the policy was being exploited, it could have changed it. Why would you even blame India or Indian govt for this?
      4. Issue of Indians exploiting Food banks was again in your jurisdiction, why wasn't Canadian govt catching the students who were exploiting the system and deporting them back? How come it's a fault of Indian govt?
      5. “Canadian housing being scooped for investment purpose” Chinese have exploited the law way before Indians did (in cities like Vancouver) and in fact Canadian govt was on board the whole thing. It was making revenue in taxes and getting sweet $s as investment from overseas, not to mention increased employment in the construction industry.
      6. “What about Indian nationals buying local businesses then repeatedly putting Indians only in the top tier positions” this was again in your jurisdiction and don't just blame Indians even Chinese in Canada have been found to favor their race over others. In fact, back in the 90s- 2000s, Canadian NGOs/ missionaries used to hire a lot of Canadian nationals for their operations in India and would always favor Canadians over Indians.
      7. “What about the Sikh vs Hindu violence/extortions across Canada? Diasporas stirring up tribal hatreds (in Canada) even though it all stems from their ancestral home. Why?”. Why are you even blaming Hindus in this, Canada has officially been harboring Khalistanis (Sikh Extremists) who literally killed an Indian Prime Minister in the 1980s. Khalistanis have open road shows, threatening Indian Ambassador and the current Indian PM of assassination. I can ask you what has Canadian politicians done about Khalistani issue ?
      8. “What about the Canadian government launching investigations in regards to foreign interference in Canadian elections, stemming from Asia continent? Canada also had to end flagpoling at the border.” What about Canadian PM Justin Trudeau supporting a so-called Farmer's protest in India? Was that not interference in our jurisdiction? NDP leader Jagmeet Singh inciting a full province of India for riots against the govt was that not interference. Maybe ask your politicians to care about Canadians and Canada more than meddling into other countries affairs.
      9. “Do Indians care about Canadians suffering too?” Do Canadians ever cared about Indian suffering when it hosts and supports Khalistanis and their separatist movement?
      10. “when many things weren't in Canada's control?” As mentioned above, EVERYTHING WAS UNDER YOUR CANADIAN GOVT'S CONTROL!! Your govt never cared to act, in fact the Sikh Diaspora pushed the govt to promote this mass migration as it was them (diaspora) who were benefiting the most out of this.

It was never intended to be a way for foreign nationals to win citizenship in Canada

They came to study. After completing their study they should go back to their home country. Use your own funds to pay for tuition and your living expenses. Don’t try to work and support your self. You are taking away Canadian citizens jobs and you are being a drain on Canadian system. Once your study is completed you should leave the country.

Question: Why are these international students, protesting in various parts of the country, always 100% Indian. No Chinese, no French, no Brazilians, no Nigerians, etc.? Maybe the other nationalities may be doing something right or the Indians know something that the others do not.
