I was 12. About to be a freshman. It shook the world and even Arizona, as one shooter was accepted to UofA. I thought the world was going crazy. Sadly, it never stopped happening. Something has to happen to stop people from getting guns and murdering innocent kids.
Seems now that Columbine is the gold standard by which all other school shootings are measured against. May the victims rest in peace, gone but not forgotten.
I was in 4th grade. My brother told me about the shooting the night after it happened. It was completely unfathomable to me back then. All I could do was wonder how human beings could be so horrible.
On January,2020 in Mexico ocurried a shooting in Coahuila State. The gunman was a student and he was inspired by Eric and Dylan... He only killed a English Teacher and then he shoot himself . Greetings for all The marvelous people of Littleton Colorado and for the wonderful americans. Rest in peace The Columbine High school massacre victims. Greetings from Mexico
Lovely way to remember the poor victim's ❤️ John Tomlin deserves massive respect for saying to the scooters that's enough if that happened now days they be considered heroes
This popped up in my recommendations after the events in Uvalde. Clearly, America’s government has utterly failed at preventing these events over the last 23 years that they’ve had to do something. Smh
I wasn't alive when Columbine happened but, I thought I could do something like write a book on Columbine but I think somebody already did that.Im only 12 but I want to start a change reaction!
I was exactly your age when Columbine happened. 12. There are multiple books already on Columbine, one by Dave Cullen simply called Columbine. One by one of the shooters mothers (dylans mother). Its called A mothers reckoning" And theres one by one of the shooters friends - Brooks Brown. And theres also a new one that was released in January this year. It's just a published version of the two shooters journals called Columbine Killers Diaries. They're all on Amazon.
thanks for sharing, a strong message pastor!! hope is always the way!!! for our father is good!!! let all see what we see, for they see but are yet blind!!
I pray not only for the victims, and the amazing friends, and of course for the strong amazing families to found peace in happiness and hopefully forgiveness in their own lives, with many Fun and amazing new-beginnings for forever!!!.....But I would also like to share some extra prayers out today,.."To the parents", especially Susan, may she/they also find true love, peace and happiness, forever in ever! God Bless us All!! #CoulmbineStrong #💜+pride=columbine
How much longer are they going to over do things like this? I looked at this video and it is over two hours long? Sure, we should never forget the victims and their families in our thoughts and prayers but extended ceremonies like this are now over glorifying this more so now than the events of 9/11. I honestly think that progress toward eliminating these sorts of school tragedies has NOT been acceptable on any level. Neither law enforcement or our Government among others has made a significant difference in a positive way. Parkland, Santa Fe, Sandy Hook, the examples are still there. And they seem to get worse than Columbine. Thanks but no thanks in spending over two hours watching people talk who most haven't a freaking clue what to do next or still can't fathom the extent of this tragedy other than as a pastor or other simply getting face time from this. Think about this, pause for a moment, think of each victim say a prayer for them and their loved ones, and MOVE ON. That is a wrap.
I hope something like this never happens to you so you never have to hear someone just simply tell you to move on. No matter how much time passes, the survivors and families of the victims will never be able to just move on. This will always be with them and it will always have a big impact on their lives. This ceremony also has nothing to do with any other tragedy that the country has faced. This has to do with honoring the lives of the victims and being able to come together as a community and support each other.
If you don't have the time to watch a memorial service for the 20 year anniversary of one of the worst school shootings in the 20th century... you can kindly click on something else. No one has forced you to sit there and watch this. You know? This isn't glorifying the shooters, it's not a celebration of their atrocities committed against the 13 who passed away. It's a community signifying 20 years of those who died, celebrating their lost lives, and showing pride and grace for everyone at Columbine. The fact that you even wrote something so flippant about it being too long is absolutely despicable.
Thank you so much for sharing this event!!💙😇🐞 I live on the coast of Oregon now and miss my Stepdad Dave Sanders.🌷☔🐌 #davesandersstepdaughter
@Ron Aigner I remember the car shows at the Columbine Lounge parking lot!😀 Congratulations to you!✌
I will never forget!! I was a freshman, this changed my life and while I did graduate school I never went back to public school!
Never Forget 💖

Explain what it was like? I have so many questions? Was the floor really shaking even though the bombs didn’t detonate? What did you hear?
Hey, I was in the audience that day!😦
And omg that’s mr. marsh directing the choir! My day of service project that day was to set all that up.

We will always remember the beloved 13
We remember you Columbine.
Is it just me or are there very few people in the audience of this event? I would've expected a massive crowd for this.
You could see the eyes of dawn anna how she misses her daughter after 20 yrs.
All the survivors are heros ever after 20 years .

Releasing doves is silly. They're raised in captivity they can't look after themselves in the wild so they're just gonna die.
Im so sorry ,put the peace with the violins hurt my ears, it was horrible

Tim Johnson it’s a 20 year anniversary of something that affected the whole community. Seriously. Let them live their lives.
It affected everyone this is a nice thing to do for the innocent victims

Your lack of empathy scares me..
