My theory on why Golden Freddy killed phone guy is because phone guy had discovered William rotting in the back of the safe room. Cassidy knew he had seen to much, and decided to kill phone guy.

No he already knew about William and why would Cassidy care Cassidy would want someone to find out and to report it so they can get the body disposed of and killing William in the process

1. He probably didn't know someone was in the safe room He was just following orders and recorded the message of them being sealed off.
2. Cassidy didn't want William to die. She wanted him to suffer. So if William was discovered, he would either be killed, or set free like in FNAF 3

@@eNCy. if he died ultimate custome night would’ve happened and the animatronics would be much more aggressive than they are normally because they’d still want revenge and he wouldn’t be set free and even if he got set on fire which burns remanent he would still not be set free he would go to the hell in ucn and there would only be a few animatronics missing like the rockstars medeoric melody’s have been from the start if you’ve watched matpats video about them

@@eNCy. what I like to believe is that instead it was Chica who killed him first thing we know is that the night for phone call we can hear banging from the door and the only place we hear that is from the left door. Also, we can hear Freddy’s music box that is when he is on the left side that only leaves Chica and golden Freddy, but like the other guy said what would golden Freddy want from phone guy and golden Freddy jump scare sound is just the jump scare sound from all the other animatronics in the first game

phone guy is not in fnaf 3, only the recordings that were found, since fnaf 2 is before fnaf 1 and fnaf 3 is after both, this is because in fnaf 2 mangle (on VHS) did the bite of 87' which is then mentioned in fnaf 1, he also dies in fnaf 1 meaning fnaf 2 must be before it, the withered animatronics also don't look the same as the original fnaf 1 animatronics meaning because fnaf 2 closed and repaired the withered ones they were formed to the state of fnaf 1, does this make sense?
