I was raised an Evangelical Christian and was formerly registered as a Republican. Today I no longer recognize either of these things. It looks like a celebration of cruelty and punishment. Not to mention a complete refusal to hold prominent Christian Conservatives accountable for crimes in particular the sexual assault of women and children. It's simply horrifying to watch. I'm grateful to every believer who stands strong and refuses to take part in this moral abdication.

Tears. W/ everything going on w daystar I found this and figured it would be like all the others..calling out character and honoring victims and then praising Trump. Save the DTS comments. For the life of me idk how they are so sad about evangelical leaders falling left & right bc of character but refuse to apply same standard to Trump. One day they will see & it’s hard to watch.

@Faithful Politics Podcast you’ve mentioned/recommended a couple of podcasts, the bulletin and being human, do you know how many podcasts are out there by those names? We need links for things like that.

We are so sorry. I don't recall the bulletin or being human, could it possibly be 'The Bulwark'?

I think there is a fine line between not being diplomatic and not being democratic. Not being diplomatic we deem as political posturing and fair game while not being democratic is unacceptable in a democratic nation. But when the line is crossed and it is combined with the intention to promote the acceptance of religious values and convictions we hold dear, we can lose our sense of focus on the moral fairness and character of both the media and the political leader who crosses the line. That's the best way I can explain why so many Christians can still stand for Trump. That's why our forefathers opposed mixing religion and politics. That's also why we need to stay away from political leaders who try to mix politics and religion. We also need to stand firm in our convictions to hold up democracy. This bully biased posturing against political opponents is wrong. An example is when Trump said at his rallies that anyone who votes for Haley is a liberal or Marxist and when Fox news says that Haley should drop out and not oppose Trump before she can ever get started on her campaign. Excuse me? I am the one voting. What you said is undemocratic. People please listen to unbiased news stations from now on. We can't stand for this. NewsNation and The Hill are two good news stations that are unbiased. They present ideas that may come from the left or right but they fairly present both sides and let you decide. You can find NewsNation on cable. In conclusion, we need to stop promoting political leaders and news media that cross the line to being undemocratic and mix religion with politics. We need to instead promote leaders and media that will faithfully uphold our democratic values.

They begged for a King. Though God had delivered them out of Egypt. God told the Prophet Samuel to give them a King. Saul was anointed King over Israel. The downfall of Saul was pride. Pride before the fall. This is how I view this New Age of White Christian Evangelicals. They see Trump as their Savior. Read Samuel 1 and 2. The reign of Saul didn't end well.

That cover image looks like something I would expect Jesus to overturn, and drive out of the true, biblical faith. And He didn't do that just everyday.

This pod was not neutral. I was expecting nether right or left. The book that is spoken on this pod cast is against pastors on the left but pastors on the right are equally deceived and not preaching the gospel.

Who in that book could conceivably be considered a “pastor on the left?”More than a couple of them adhere to Trumpism; all of them would identify as conservatives politically.

@ the front of the book “shepherds for sale”. This front literally says “How evangelical leaders traded truth for the leftist agenda”. My point is not what the left did but the right sold out their ethics, morals, and what christians stand for to put Trump in office two times.

@@chuckm.1295"Shepherds for Sale" is an entirely different book than the one written by the author, Mike Cosper, being interviewed here. The author of "Shepherds for Sale" (a Trumpian shrill) criticises this author. His latest book is "The Church in Dark Times."

When the pregnancy cannot result in the birth of a child who will survive. If a woman is forced to continue a non viable pregnancy, fetal death in utero endangers the health and future fertility of the mother. Forcing a woman to carry a non viable pregnancy to term then give birth only to watch the suffering and death of the child after birth is cruel and traumatizing.

    • @juliachildress2943

@Laurad419 Well said. If someone has never suffered through the birth of a child with devastating birth anomalies and watched that child suffer with pain, terror, hospitalizations, needles, and tests, for days or years, then die, which was inevitable, they need to sit down and be silent. The current life- of- a- fetus -at -all -costs is just pathological and inhumane.

When is it acceptable to live in the richest country in the world and turn your head and look away from the 14000 living, breathing children who die everyday of preventable causes and do nothing?
You and I both know the answer: because "foreign" children aren't actual people in your eyes, so you don't have to think about them. Read Matthew 25 about the sheep and goats. That will tell you where God's heart lies.
