*_I hope you enjoy the review. I use this blender every day and love it so far. I'll keep the description updated should there be more to report in the weeks and months to come._*
My ninja 1000 arrived From Amazon today. Haven't used to yet but I have watched your video. I found it informative and helpful... Thank you for your time and effort.
Even though my Ninja 1000 blender is dishwasher safe, I prefer to use the same procedure used by non-dishwasher safe Vitamix blenders; that is, I fill the blender half-way with warm water and add a few drops of Dawn antibacterial detergent. I then turn the blender on (with the blade in the pitcher) for a few seconds. I then wash and rinse the blender by hand or in the dishwasher.
Hi Kelsea, I use mine every day. Not sure who Greg Doucette is but if he recommended it, he knows what he's talking about. Thanks for your comment! Best, Bob
Oh goshhh i just orderd this ... Then realized it has 3 blades omg... I was always anxious with 1 blade on my blender thinking it could fly out or something lol but now 3 oooohhh ok . ..
Thanks Curtis! I appreciate you leaving a comment and I try my best to be thorough so that the reader can make an informed purchasing decision. I do really like this blender and use it daily. :-) Best, Bob
Thank you for posting this video! I just bought this model (my other small little blender bit the dust lol) and I have been slightly afraid to use this much bigger blender. But since I watched your very informative video, I am going to not be afraid of it and make my smoothie in the morning! May I ask what protein powder you use? Thank you :)
Hi, I purchase my protein powder from iHerb.com. Here is a link to what I buy. This is not an affiliate link. It is unflavored as I add bananas, blueberries, and honey which adds the sweetness. www.iherb.com/pr/california-gold-nutrition-100-whey-protein-isolate-unflavored-5-lb-2-27-kg/76479 Best, Bob
Hi, I would imagine it would work fine. I blend up frozen margaritas which includes a whole container of ice with no problem. I think most people use a food processor for blending veggies but I would think this blender would do the job. Best, Bob
Hi Diva, thanks for taking the time to leave a comment. I really appreciate it and enjoy your blender! I use mine every day for my pre-workout smoothies. :-) ...and sometimes at night for frozen margaritas! Best, Bob
I'm just starting to look at these. There's a bunch of Ninja models that seem pretty much the same ... BL710, BL610, BN701, BN700 (cheapest at $79) .... Do you know what differences there are between these? I just want a simple one like yours, but I'd like to know how they differ ... they're all around $89-$99, the last one I mentioned I saw online for $79. If anyone knows, please answer ... thank you.
Hi Joe Joe, To be honest, I would have to research each model to see the differences. This one had everything I needed, was easy to use and clean, and did the job well. I still use it every day for my smoothies and oftentimes for margaritas and other frozen drinks. Sorry, I can't speak to the other models but you can't go wrong with the one I reviewed. Best, Bob
Thank You. I use a magic bullet and its a great serving size for me daily. I got this as a xmas gift and wondered if I was able to get the cup attatchment like on some other blenders. I noticed you had more than one glass left over. What do you do with the extra? My work tumbler only holds so much and I don't want to waste the left over. Can you refreeze the extra and use in the next day you think? Thanks for the video! (hate reading directions) :)
Hi Chris, I just drink the extra. I never thought about freezing it but since I put a certain amount of protein in the shake I want to make sure I get all of it in that serving. Thanks for your comment. Thanks! Bob
Alston, there is a proper way to place the top back onto the body of the blender. The white arrow on top of the blender has to line up with the white arrow on the top of the handle. That is the only way to place the top of the blender onto the body of it correctly. Are those two white arrows lined up? If so, you should be able to push down the lever on the top and the top will lock properly. To unlock just press down on the RELEASE button. Best, Bob
Alston, no worries at all. This is what RUclips is all about. Helping others out. It's a great blender and I'm really glad I could help you get that sorted out! I wouldn't be surprised that others had the same problem so hopefully your question helps them out too. Best, Bob
Hi Tiffany, I actually bounced this question off of my wife who is an amazing chef. She actually said she would chop everything by hand for a salsa (since she wants it chunky) and not use a blender at all. But if you are trying to make more of a sauce to dip chips or tortillas into, I guess you could use this blender. It's a great blender and I use it daily for smoothies. Best, Bob
Hi Dave, Honestly, it depends on what's in it. I use frozen bananas and blueberries so that adds to the loudness. I've been using this unit since I originally did the video and really like it. Yeah, I guess it's loud but I find all blenders pretty loud based on what you're blending up. Best, Bob
I’m not sure if you know to the easiest way to clean these is fill them up about 3/4 add a little bit of soap if needed and set a time for 15 seconds or so. Then rinse it out .

@@TotallyUniqueLife Ok. Thank you :)
To clean it, you can just pour warm water with a bit of dish soap and run it for 60 seconds. Then just rinse and you're done.
Thanks!
Thank you for your detailed reviews. I wonder if this blender works well for blending celery and carrots

My blender is new. After cleaning it I could not place the top and lock it. Handle kept lifting up the top not locking it. How do I fix that

Would this blender be good to make salsa with?

Can it be used with ice?
YES, I make frozen margaritas with it on a regular basis. It's heavy duty!
