Krabi is a great destination for island hopping tours especially the 4-Island Tour, Railey (Phra Nang and West Railey beaches), Hong Island Tour and Phi Phi Island Tour. Krabi is great for inland activities like visiting Emerald Pool, Hot Springs, climbing to the top of Tiger Cave Temple (if you have the stamina for it) and Klong Muang Beach. But Ao Nang is the place to be for staying in Krabi.

James Band Tour can either be done from either Phuket or Krabi so if I remember rightly, you do a bit of kayaking near the mangroves around Phang Nga Bay, then to James Bond Island, then to the Muslim Floating Village Koh Panyee to have lunch, then back to the mainland to visit a temple and then a waterfall
