Bought the A70 on June 13, and it really is great for a mid ranged phone. Really fast, didn’t experience any lag. Although the fingerprint sensor is pretty tedious. The face recognition is really good, charges really fast, included headset is good, games look pretty good because of the display. Overall, it’s worth buying for.
why the hell would you need fingerprint scaner or face scaner? Are you a FBI agent so you need protection on your phone? Just use PIN or Shape unlock and thats it.
"6.7 inch is really not that big." Wtf are you smoking to think 6.7 inches is not that big for a phone screen... That's only 0.3 inches off being classed as a full on tablet.
Tye reduced bezels make up for it. 6.7' disply with this minimal bezel is on par with 6.1' regular display phone from the past. Its still big but compared to today's trend its not huge.

if it's possible, you can use an OTG by using a regular cable and put the OTG on the USB A connector. but I'm seeing a lot phones using C to C these days ROG phone , Nubia Red Magic 3 etc mainly the gaming phones.
Problem with the A70 is that there is a fast charging glitch where if you want to disable the feature it will constantly fast charge with the stock chargers. Also the AOD does not work with tap to wake, it either glitches or flickers instead of staying the intended 10 - 30 seconds as stated by samsung after the most recent update.
Flagship?? Nope.. Resolution is just the same as the mid range.. 1080X2400 only... And its not even made of a Gorilla glass. Samsung's flagship phone is S10 and Note series...

Got a Samsung a7 2018 last October nice phone does everything then I saw the a70 ordered one straight away looking at all the reviews I think I've done the right thing.
Samsung really learned from their past mistakes from being too lax with giving less to the consumers. That charger stepped up their game and the phablet size and display, thats the samsung weve known from before (when their starting the mobile race)

What I find interesting is when you take a video with this phone , which clearly has stabilisation , yet Samsung told me the A70 doesn’t have stabilisation. Great video keeping me going till I can afford my own A70

If youre into display and watching/streaming this is a great choice with its Infinity U lcd and screen size Pocophone lacks the luster on its screen display (though the notch never bothered me), nonetheless, its the best thing i ever bought. Just a little bit heavy though hahaha

Wish metropcs carrys this phone. They only have the a20 right now. Ive read all the unlocked gsm phones are not compatible with metro ...have you heard any different? Also that the a20 and a50 are only available in u.s. right now
Watching this with my A50. I am already satisfied with my A50's performance because it's more handy, quick and the charging speed has no difference with A70 (well there is maybe but irrelevant - like 10minutes gap? Lol) and longlife battery too :) for me it's just the size that differs or just your mere preferences as a buyer ;) great phones actually. Worth buying
I just got this phone free with a 2 year contract. The only thing I don't like about it is the charging cord. I can't plug it into my laptop. Now I am on the search for a usb cord to fit. Excellent review
@Mr.BishOP The camera is a 32 pixel and is Awesome! better camera than any phone I have seen The finger print is pretty good as well. It isn't the fastest but it works and I haven't had any trouble with it at all. Overall, the phone gets a 9/10 and is a very underrated samsung phone.
But you have to remeber that its an infinity display so there is not a big waste of space at the top and bottom. So overall the dimensions still end up being about average

Just purchased one and it's easily one of the best phones I have ever owned. The price is on the upper end of the midrange spectrum but it's worth the money. The screen is amazing and it never lags. Everything loads fast and I don't experience any stuttering...the ultra fast charging is the best feature...you can get a full charge in less than 2 hours which is impressive for a 4500 battery...

Nope. Doesn't make sense to me. I bought A50 and I think I don't want to pay almost 9k for little extra battery and a little better camera. Like this, you can keep buying the expensive phones and it will never stop. Ideally, all these phone are only differentiating majorly on camera capabilities. My take : invest in a good camera (i bought the sony rx100 mark 3 for around 45k) and buy a budget phone (i have poco f1). Bought A50 for my wife though. That camera would easily last me 10 years (conservative estimate) and phones i can be happy buying the mid range ones. So yeah... Buying this phone wouldn't make sense even if it was launched with a50.
Although the video was good there isn't a huge difference between the two phone's not to mention that the a70 is quite a heavy phone. Get the a70, it's worth the upgrade even if its minor

Depends on the last few letters on the model number.. you want GSM but not GSM with international.

6.0 inch display would be the best size for a smartphone.
6.7 is very near to tablet.

Just purchased one and it's easily one of the best phones I have ever owned. The price is on the upper end of the midrange spectrum but it's worth the money. The screen is amazing and it never lags. Everything loads fast and I don't experience any stuttering...the ultra fast charging is the best feature...you can get a full charge in less than 2 hours which is impressive for a 4500 battery...

U can buy galaxy s9 plus for this price and I think it will be a much better overall package

Those having issues with fingerprint add 3 fingerprint of the same finger, plus go to settings remove animations and increase touch sensitivity
Try installing Gcam on A70 , as it has a snapdragon processor
It works like a charm. I am using gcam on my A70 and it is taking better picture than my s9.

Nope. Doesn't make sense to me. I bought A50 and I think I don't want to pay almost 9k for little extra battery and a little better camera. Like this, you can keep buying the expensive phones and it will never stop. Ideally, all these phone are only differentiating majorly on camera capabilities.
My take : invest in a good camera (i bought the sony rx100 mark 3 for around 45k) and buy a budget phone (i have poco f1). Bought A50 for my wife though. That camera would easily last me 10 years (conservative estimate) and phones i can be happy buying the mid range ones.
So yeah... Buying this phone wouldn't make sense even if it was launched with a50.
dont forget the +2 gb ram
A70 is considered a mid-range phone
Sorry to burst your bubble, but the A50 has a higher pixel density and it is noticeable. 1080p is just not enough for a screen as big as the A70's.
Although the video was good there isn't a huge difference between the two phone's not to mention that the a70 is quite a heavy phone. Get the a70, it's worth the upgrade even if its minor

You can use an adaptor. But it's worth it. Usb c to usb c is faster. Also new laptops and motherboards include a thunderbolt 3/usb c connector.
Samsung has still the edge from all other android phones.Still worth it
