    Thank you so much for this review! It is super helpful. I am so torn on language arts for next year for my rising second grader. We have gotten through Logic of English Foundations A and B. But, I am considering going through All About Spelling through level 3 then starting this, as Andrew Pudewa suggests in his video on spelling. How old is your child that is doing this product?

      Marcy Bowden Hi! My daughter was in 8th grade this year when she was using this. She didn’t finish level B, so she will continue it into 9th grade. I definitely recommend the placement test after you finish AAS.

      Amie S So far, so good! I do think we will stick with it. My daughter hasn’t complained at all, and I like that I’m hands off with it. I also like that it’s a move at your own pace thing. So right now my daughter is on list 7. I feel like she’s progressing pretty nicely. She struggles with spelling due to her dyslexia, and so the constant repetition is good for her.

    • @EducationalRoots
      @EducationalRoots  4 года назад

      kendria wilson Hi! Yes, you do it daily. It doesn’t have lesson plans, because you simply move to the next lesson once they get it correct 2 times in a row. This could take 2 days or 2 weeks. It all depends on the kiddo.

    Do you mind clarifying, do they study the word list or just the 3 words on the front of the card? Then once they learn the rule they can spell other words.. thanks

    • @EducationalRoots
      @EducationalRoots  4 года назад

      The Vidaurri Bunch Each lesson has 12 or 15 words, something like that. I’m not looking at the cards to see. The 3 words on the front of the cards are just example words. The word lists are on the back of the cards. They have all 3 levels on the back, but the audio for each level you’ll need to buy separately. So each day they take the test of the 12-15 words. When they get it 100% twice in a row they move on to the next list. Does that help?

    • @EducationalRoots
      @EducationalRoots  4 года назад

      Br in each list there’s a little jingle they learn (it’s all on the audio CD/mp3) to remind them of the rule.

      @thevidaurribunch5149 4 года назад +1

    Hi I came across this critique of the program:
    “This program doesn't really help the child learn to spell, just helps them memorize for the test and then moves on”
    What’s your personal view on this?
    Also are you still using it with any of your kids

    • @EducationalRoots
      @EducationalRoots  3 года назад

      That seems very strange to me! They are learning the phonics rules and therefore should be able to spell any word that follows the rule. I’ve never heard anyone say that. Where was that review from? Yes, my 15 year old is still using it and my 10 year old will use it next year.
