I have spelling you can see, but haven’t opened it yet 😅. Thanks for the heads up for the review. Our family loves 180 days. It’s easy on budget but very impactful.
Some love spelling you see but not us 😂 I was so desperate with my middle that I offered it to her and she didn’t like the thought of it either. Yes! I thought 180 days of spelling and word study was great!
Have you guys heard of Megawords? It has worked well for us. I think it starts in grade 4. It is very plain and simple. Teaches the syllabic, decoding way to spell! I pick the words I want them to spell and have them write in a notebook a few times every other day. We do daily spelling bees with index cards.
Thanks for sharing this. We have a struggling speller and i feel like we’ve tried so much but haven’t come to one that we love although what we’ve switched to now seems okay for him. I may have to check out soar with spelling more.
They did, we used it more for like review type stuff in the summer, we liked the spelling you see but we've ended up just using the spelling through Abeka.
Thank you for this review. My son is 9 and on The Good and the Beautiful Level 3 Language Arts and is a struggling speller. I'm going to try the 180 Days of Spelling and see if that helps. I'm also going to try their Geography, Reading, and Science. LOL Maybe getting some extra reading in with those too will translate into spelling?
Thank you for showing off so many spelling options! My 9 year old is a pretty strong speller, but needs more assistance with spelling "rules". I'm looking primarily at 180 Days or Soaring with Spelling due to costs. Do you know if either of them go over any of the spelling rules? We've been doing word lists for months which is fine but I would like to see if we can add a little something more for him!
So they both probably have about the same amount of instructions. Here is a sample of 180 days: www.teachercreatedmaterials.com/estore/files/samples/28632s.pdf And here is a sample of JacKris-Soaring with Spelling. cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/2659/7062/files/sws4_sample_lessons.pdf?3568484626439355145 Hopefully this helps!
I just got all about spelling and it takes so long and is so heavy on me to have her do it. I’m looking for something else! Thank you!
I would love to see inside the souring with spelling! I used growing with grammar years ago and enjoyed it
Of course! I definitely plan to share Soaring with Spelling! Any specific questions you want me to answer with it?

That is great! Thanks for this recommendation
I've been considering Soaring with Spelling but have not found a recent review on the curriculum. Thanks so much for your review!
Awesome! I plan to do longer video/flip through of it this week! Glad it could help!
I am a naturally bad speller. And I am proud to say that I am currently a better speller than my children! I think just small gains really add up.
😁
Yes! Definitely

It is so hard to find a good spot with spelling! I’m going to do a longer video of Soaring With Spelling this week.
@@schultesweeties looking forward to checking it out!
Thank you for sharing! New subscriber! We used All About Spelling back when my son was in first grade, and Spelling You See.
Did those work well for you?

Thanks for sharing! There are so many options for spelling it can be a bit overwhelming
Thanks for watching! So many options!
@@schultesweeties yes! I feel like you didn’t even cover them all.

@@schultesweeties thank you!
I heard some people have to level up for the even moore spelling. Maybe you can try that. 😊
Great idea! I have heard that suggested before as well. If we became unhappy with Soaring with spelling I would probably look into that!
