I was NOT there for this show. But, I was living in Atlanta when he was. I remember seeing him play an open-mic night at a place called Eddie's attic. It's unbelievable seeing him now as a huge star. I remember him as a lanky kid with an amazing talent at an open- mic night.
I was there. It was something else. First time seeing Mayer live. He pulled my brains out my ears and melted my face. His guitar playing is unlike any other, and his vocals are killer. He’s a legend
So what, so I've got a smile on But it's hiding the quiet superstitions in my head Few things in my life have been more cathartic than singing that line with 20,000 strangers who have also felt lost at times in their lives.
I can see how he gets the ladies. If you ever watch his interviews he has this attitude of confident (little bit cocky) combined with I don't give a fuck. Throw the talent in and women throw themselves at this guy. Good for him!
@@hobgoblin4614 I love his musicality but man, I sometimes tune out when he does his little monologues at the beginning or at the bridge of a song during live shows. I get it that with people who are incredibly talented, they may show signs of eccentricity but sometimes...it's hard to tell if John genuinely is speaking from the heart, or if it's just his overconfidence speaking.

What a great singer songwriter, so so much more recognition deserved
