This cocktail tastes great. Its got that Banana and coffee taste. It's an easy drinking cocktail that goes down smooth. A few of these and it could be quite the lazy afternoon.
I can say banana liqueur and I have a sordid pass from college. I have started recently trying with a good liqueur that has no artificial banana flavour and will try this. I think I will use a demerara rum like El Dorado for a caramel twist or a spice like kraken for a nice vanilla balance. May freeze the banana to get the drink real cold. Thanks for sharing!
I want to try this..but I have to be dairy free...so what do you suggest I use instead of half&half..I can use rice milk for the milk.....One more thing..the banana liqueur I have is clear..is that OK? Thanks
Definitely. The clear Banana Liqueur will work perfectly. A lot of the color comes from the Banana anyways.. For the Half & Half I would suggest a combination of coconut cream with a combination of one of either, soy, rice, or oat milk. You could try almond. Try it in equal parts coconut cream/Milk substitute. And just choose what works best for you. Please let me know how it worked out for you.
"Everything is closed." Thankfully, here in Minnesota they have acknowledged that liquor stores are an essential service while everyone's kids are home 24/7. :D
I like your version vs the one I had posted on the Facebook page! This is a great cocktail.. my " go-to rum for this I would have to say would be Captain Morgan.. since I'm off tonight, I think I'll experiment with Kracken rum. Again David another fantastic video.
This is a great looking drink and I am making this right after I finish commenting. I must say, your blender is amazing. You pop that on and off in less than a second. lol Great editing or an Amazing Blender? Bartenders need to know. lol I think I am going to try this with Captain Morgan's Spiced Rum. I thought of a darker rum, but i am now curious what the spiced rum might add. Stay tuned. Cheers!!
Another great video and awesome drink! I actually made this cocktail last summer and send a picture of it together with just the caption “Dirty Banana” to the girl I was dating. Her response “I want it in my mouth now!” 🙈😂😂

What a way to be creative this was awesome!
The way to get authentic resort taste get the NICO rum
The best ones I have had were in Jamaica.
@@CarlaGranger They do make good one in Jamaica for sure.
I tried this but instead I used a pecan liquor instead of rum & it was DELICIOUS!
That sounds like a good idea. I'll try it!
Oh that WOULD be awesome
Well done buddy. Looks really good.
Thanks 👍 It one I think you would like!!!

Your welcome. Let me know what you go with and how it turned out.
I'm probably gonna drizzle some chocolate syrup around inside the glass, a touch of chocolate would be tasty I bet
That definitely will add some flavor!.
Thoughts on using a coconut rum?
You could do that. It would make it a little sweeter and you would not have the rum funk.

I filmed it on Easter Sunday. Almost everything is closed the Liquor stores are on reduced hours to making it harder to get stuff.
@@boozeontherocks Ah, okay. I assumed it was a social distancing reference. :)

Thank you Eric. This is fun done to make.
Appleton Estate is an excellent choice! i also use Plantation dark rum :)
That is a good mix. I like it!

I have a Bacardi spiced rum that is really good. Let me know how it turns out for you.
@@boozeontherocks I will definitely do that. Depending on the results, I might do a second one using just a white rum.
So half half is single cream here in UK. Will try make this later. Spiced rum on shelf so will try with that
I hope you like it.
@@boozeontherocks delicious! Keep up the good work
I like to cut my banana in half add some sugar on top and caramelize it with a torch. Then add it to the blender. Great drink....
That is a great idea!
I bet this would make a great dessert drink if you replaced the Kahluha with Godiva.
That is a good idea.... A yummy chocolatey dirty banana!!!
Great content as usual. The beard suits you!
Thank you on both counts!!
I'd use Troys Rieveres white Rum. That has a little banana taste to it.
That is a good choice.
Good morning Dave ,what do you mean by half and half 👍
Good morning Orazio. Half and Half is half heavy cream half milk.
@@boozeontherocks thank you Dave 👍👍
Hey Dave great video. I forgot how long your beard got during Covid. I have to try this one. It’s got all my favorite ingredients. Cheers my friend.
Thank you Pj, i think you will like it. Cheers!!
Jamaican Appleton Rum yes
I agree!!
I like this though I may try it without the Rum
Thank you. Please let me know how you decided to make it and how it turns out for you.
I would use Kraken rum.
That is a good spiced rum to use.
