yeah, i saw them Nov 2, 2006 for the tour of their newest release. i really just wasn't pleased. they weren't even fan friendly, which i feel is very essential. i still love their music though.
the song is about him and adam (from taking back sunday). the two of them were best friends, and had a HUGE falling out. this is his way of venting. that's also what the lines "is that what you call a getaway..." about in seventy times seven... also, if you notice, both bands (brand new and taking back sunday) will use each others song lyrics in their writings, as a way to jab back at one another.
Jessse wrote seventy times 7 and nolan and lazzara both were in TBS when they wrote the song Theres no I in team...all 3 of them were friends for a long time and personally i think both of them slammed jesse's girl or at least one of them

Now, I'm not saying YFW is a bad album... it has its moments, and most of them are still played at Brand New concerts (Soco, No Seatbelt Song, and even 70x7 is cool live). But come on, if you honestly think Lacey is a better performer when he just fucking yells the lyrics instead of actually showing his vocal talent that is ever so present on the albums, then you don't deserve Brand New.
