Sure the 30hz replays mattered but the reason so many people fawn over old aim is more because of how inhuman it looked because of old smoothing drivers on tablets before 9w5 and raw. Flyingtuna uses fairly smoothed drivers for today's standard if anyone wants to see a modern example.
Smooth aim is the reason why fils' BASARA FLDT play is my favorite to watch. Just so satisfying.
His play on Higanbana Daini really caught my eye on a top 2012 osu players yt vid. Both the song and his play really made me go wow

yeah, YokesPai, Xilver, Ekoro and other highacc low ar players comes to mind. I guess what makes their aim so good is that they are comfortable with the slow rhythm so their aim mirrors it, slow and smooth.

@@nigzedotus2488 also, they have efficient movements. Nowdays it's an overlooked skill, but it can vastly help aim since you aren't wasting energy or precision, or most importantly time on inefficient aim.

The one thing that confuses me is he was able to quit osu. I can stop playing for a couple weeks sometimes, but I always find my mind craving that satisfying circle clicking, and I always come back.

I remember Azer and FunOrange's aim in ~2015-2018 being somewhat like Mugio's aim. They weren't as "robotic" and "perfectly smooth" but still really satisfying to watch.

im q mouse player i could never eve imagine aim like this my aim looks like im cursor dancing compared to his lmao
imo mouse aim usually is smoother than tablet aim unless you use a lot of smoother and a mid sized area; too big area and your cursor will shake in-between big jumps, and too small and your hand movements will be picked up more and cursor will shake, but low dpi mouse always looks smooth if you get good with it
@@lunarleaf welp i use 960(i'd say medium dpi) and my tablet aim was quite a bit smoother(small area) but i broke my pen and i dont really feel like buying another one
