It had colorful pictures, on each page, of different animals "being very cozy" with each other. The last page had human adults in bed and said "Mommy and Daddy are doing what the cat and the dog and the cow....and the rooster were doing." The book did get banned. But by the 1980's 5th grade s__ education embarrassed Me in mixed company, and they no longer separated the children. It's been leading toward where we are today with our young people for many years.😟😢🙏

At first I thought this was actually a good idea. Let's face it, kids are stupid and will do stupid stuff. It's best that someone warns them of the dangers of sexting and if they plan on doing it (which they will, because again, kids are stupid), they might as well do it in a way that doesn't harm them in the long run, but then the part came of "complimenting the partner"? I mean, what the actual bleep? Yeah, that's no longer warning them of the dangers, but actually encouraging them.

Secondly, the book pretty much just addresses all the things teens want to know regarding sex. Not what parents would like their pubescent kids to know, but what these kids actually want to know and/or should know. Not addressing all those issues will just lead to those teens getting their info from who-knows-where, possibly exposing them to harm.
Yeah it's unfortunate that some teens sext and send nudes. If I could magically prevent all minors from doing so I would. But in reality they'll do it regardless whether you forbid them to or not, so better they learn how to do it safely.

Educating about sexuality is not grooming. Besides, the target group of the book are teens, who if you remember, do speak a lot about sex. A book that teaches them a healthy way to look at sex is indispensable. Read the book before judging it!

If I were president of the board, I would propose a rule: 1) Any book that cannot be read during a live board meeting must instantly be banned from the school. 2) Every new book must have the name of the person who approved it on record. 3) Any materials that are considered lude or pornographic will be referred to the police or DA along with the name of the person who approved it.

I am both shocked and disgusted that the concerned father was silenced by a vote of 5-2 when he did nothing more than read a page from a book that was approved for young kids by the school board! He did nothing obscene or that would be censored on radio or television but still he was shut down. Why? These people have a radical agenda and don’t want the parents to know about it, lest they try to stop it!
Parents should get together en mass without these board member low life's and get on the same page. Have a reading session of all the books that these board members have allowed. These tyrants don't think these parents are human beings with a right to protect their kids. That should just be default understanding.

I have a friend with kids in elementary school. Her daughter came up to her one day to “come out” as non-binary. When asked what she meant, she said “I don’t like girly things so I’m more like a boy”. My friend asked her if she felt like a tomboy and she had no clue what that was.
Recently, they went to a Scholastic book fair and went looking through young adult graphic novels. One was about a boy becoming a girl with the encouragement of other trans people. It featured full body nudity (genitals censored), shaving off body hair to appear more feminine, and a trans-man showing off their mastectomy scars and saying it made them feel normal.
Forgive me for not trusting the people who tell our kids that if they don’t fit into their perfect box they must be trans and given literature about transitioning at ~12 years old. The kid didn’t even know what a tomboy was but they were about to read a book about physically altering your body if you feel insecure about it.
Anyone who sends his children to government schools is guilty of neglect and child abuse. Period. This is not a situation that can be remedied; it is beyond remediation.

One of the most common traits of an abuser/molester is they will tell the children to not tell their parent/guardian about what is happening between them.
That's exactly what is happening in schools today. I've seen several videos taken on student cell phones of teachers telling students they shouldn't let their parents know what is being talked about in their classroom.

I remember when I was in elementary. There was a police officer who was on stage teaching children about good touc and bad touch and what predators would say to the victim in order not to tell their parents. It usually would come in a form of a threat of hurting, harming or killing parents, friends, siblings or close relatives or loved ones in or to scare the child in order to continue the sexual abuse. Today? It's the opposite. I'm happy and grateful my children are adults who chose not to have children due to the direction in which this world is heading.
