    My grandma always put vanilla in it and served it cold but with hot cherry sauce (with whole cherries in it) on top. Very filling, indeed. And super nice. Ours was usually made up of left-over from the night before (risengrød, that we put under the duvet for 4 hrs before serving with a dollop of butter for those that wanted it, and cinnamon-sugar mix on top, and the best part was the skin imo LOL), ahh sweet memories. And then we always put 1 whole almond inside of it, and whoever found it, got the "mandelgave" (a special prize). Ours was never really the traditional marzipan pig tho, it was always usually books or toys, but yeah. Fun times. :)
