This sounds a bit like "Ignition" from Sega Rally 1995. I can kind of hear some Takenobu Mitsuyoshi inspiration going on in this version; I grew up with the US version but I like this a bit better. It's that jazzy music that just fits Japanese racing games unlike that "Fear Factory" esque sound heard in US.
