I also love those supercharged hotrod cars in TEST DRIVE 5. When driven carefully, it can easily obliterate the competition in TD5.

Ah Fu, I really like racing cars, ever since I was little.
This is also the ONLY ever appearance for 1998 Fear Factory Wagon, 1998 Police Dodge Charger, 1998 Camaro Z28, and Pitbull Special cars. TEST DRIVE 5 is such an underrated gem indeed along with R-TYPES.
That song choosing the cars, i prefer the KMFDM.
As for me, I always choose the Skyline GT-R R33 in this game since I have been the enthusiast of the tuner cars.
Notice the era during these games they all had a similar car list with absolutely no tuners with the exception of the R-34
@@deana6072Test Drive 5 about 98 percent of these cars are all Supercars, Luxury Cars, and Supercharged Hotrods like 1966 Hotrod Corvette C3, 1968 Hotrod Shelby Mustang GT350R and Pitbull Special.

@@deana6072 Well NFS 1 did have Japanese sports cars like the NSX, Supra, RX-7 (and R32 GT-R, R33 GT-R and 300ZX but only in the Japanese special version). And later, NFS 4 had the R34 GT-R (standard in the Japanese version and as a DLC otherwise).
They gave the 1998 Mustang GT the wrong engine, wrong hp, and wrong top speed. Those stats all appear to be from the DOHC 4.6 that came in the 98’ Cobra, not the SOHC GT.

Grew up playing this and TD4, but I'm kinda confused because I remember the "Mighty Maul" was supposed to be called Mighty Maui...oh well.
I used always the Corvette C5, my favourite in the game!
Sadly this car are slow.

Test drive 5 is best childhood game
Even though the physics and some facts about the cars are way off on some of them this game is still awesome. The engine in the Jaguar XJ220 is a twin turbo V6 actually not a V12 and it’s only worth maybe half the price in this game and then there’s the physics and handling of the GTS Viper and the 68 Mustang, those Vipers are awful at handling and so are those Mustangs but everyone loves both those cars in this game they look awesome and are great starter cars for the cups
