+drcoronado. Hello, I'm by no means an expert on the subject, just an amateur with a keen interest in the musical instruments of Pre-Hispanic - Mesoamerican - Pre-Columbian Culture. What I do know is that they had a wide variety of Flutes made of clay, as it took the four elements to create them, Earth, Wind, Water, and Fire. Which they used in their ceremonies with drums, shakers and whistles, and some pipes made from various woods, reeds, etc..
Ancient Peruvian Cultures are truly fascinating, and I feel that there is still much unknown about them to this very day, there's was truly a mystical culture. Sadly far too many of their Historical sites, which are located in the deserts and far away places have been looted and their ancient artifacts, their heritage, sold at auction houses in the West.
They were very advanced when it came to wind instruments, their construction. I have seen rare whistles made of solid stone which to this day confound archeologists as to how they were constructed. All ancient cultures used drums in their ceremonies, in Shamanic practices. The Mochica
      - Moche practiced Peyote rituals, which can be seen in another of my Mochica videos. The reason I suspect that only their Clay Flutes survived and were discovered is that over time wooden instruments perish.
Like many Cultures of their time the Mochica sacrificed people to their Gods, in truth even the Ancient Celts, Nordic peoples, etc... did the same, so I don't think their Culture can be judged by that practice, the Ancient World, Cultures, were rough, times were hard, and their Spiritual Beliefs were of the utmost importance to them. The further the Modern World slips into it's Nihilist mindset the further away we are from understanding the Ancient World, it's Culture and it's people.
For me, I like to imagine musically what sounds they would have listened to, and try to reconstruct the feeling. Whether I succeed or fail, the enjoyment is in the trying. I've listen to a lot of Indigenous Peruvian Music over the years and they definitely have a tradition which places their Flutes, Whistles and Pipes in a dominant position, so I figure that has possibly always been the case. As a Flute Player that is what has drawn me to examine, investigate their Mystical Culture. Thanks for listening, and your question, have a great week. Best wishes to you from Ireland. Keith.

Keith O' Sullivan Composer I mean no disrespect to you, but there's a typo in your title. Some people would find that very off putting and think you don't care enough to spellcheck your title.
This was meant as constructive criticism. Also, nice upload!
