Lol I feel like Taeyeon's vocals (stylistically anyway) changed the most from 2015 to 2018 tbh. 2007 - 2014, you can see a steady but still apparent change in her styling and vocals. But once she went solo, she started finding her own voice and she really started experimenting with her style then. It was like every album she had discovered a new Taeyeon. How she sings now is very markedly different stylistically from back in 2015. I couldn't imagine her singing the This Christmas album or Something New the same way if it was 2015 Taeyeon (but hey, maybe she was just being safe with the I release and she could sing the way she does now XD).
She changed into a lighter and brighter mix, using slightly less chest than in the past. That makes her voice sound less low-pitched and womanly than before, but more soft and soothing like butter.
the current Taeyeon sounds more relax and mature, even since her debut not many kpop idols can be compared to uri Kid-leader. let's wish for more good music from Taeyeon :D

She was aMAZING since the start, but she had major improvements as she used to sound kind of straining to the audience, now her notes sound extremely comfortable and it's as if it's as easy as ABC to hit the notes.
She sounds more different around D5/Eb5/E5 since she is allowing more head voice into her mix rather than just pushing her chest voice, which causes a more relaxed voice... Besides that, her chest notes are more audible nowadays and her head voice is more rounded. She has definitely improved.
9:35 and 9:39 impressed me the most. I thought Tae was the best vocalist since debut but who knew she could still beat her old self and improve so much!

Especially females, it's true most are sopranos, but the amount who can support an F#3 and under is just so few. Taeyeon has a better lower range than like, half of the sopranos like her. However, it's still sort of complacent, like, average. As a lower set soprano who can support down to C#3/D3, it frustrates me because I can't find many with the same abilities. Looking over the small rant, I applaud Taeyeon for improving tremendously, you can hear how much more supported and open she is compared to the past. Bringing her supported range around D5/Eb5 (sorta) and going from B3/Bb3 to G3/G#3. Just wish she could try to take new directions and lighten up her voice and not push too much past her supported range, and explore more of that head voice.
DBZXC last Mariah Carey could only support down to E3 consistently, she often lowered her larynx below Eb3 and the habit stuck to her which is why her Eb3 wasn't as consistent. But I truly admire her, because she truly was superior in her prime. She supported like 3 D3's her whole career and one C3, but that's still amazing. The only soprano (like no mezzo) that can support properly below E3 is Natalie Weiss, her C#3's are becoming amazingly consistent- and she's the only one I know supporting that low this time. Most people support rare low notes and then BOOM! no more of them. It frustrates me.
Sehun Oh oh yeah, Natalie started showing her supported C#3's during this year and she's been doing them consistently for like 7 months now, so that's what I mean. Tori is hella amazing too, though she also is only consistent to E3, but she supports the Eb3's in the occasional moments, like for every 4 E3's, there's one Eb3

I feel like she expanded, as well as developed her mix range from being more chest-dominant to more balanced! :-) Her sound has become a lot lighter over the years as she has improved on her technique, while at the same time retaining the emotion and impact of her belts!

I think it's pretty clear is that her B4-D5 is significantly brighter and lighter than pre- 2014. It feels much heavier and more resonance from her chest. The song all that Jazz really does demonstrate how heavy her voice sounded in the past. It feels like she is always on the edge of her voice and sounds slightly pushed. Her newer mixed made her sound lighter, brighter but also bigger and less on edge.
What I will say is that I noticed that she isn't able to support the notes as long as she used to. A good example is the C5 from her duo with tiffany vs her C5 in "UR", the E5 O holy night vs the E5 in 2018. It does seem like her voice is wearing a bit because in her more recent notes she is either cutting the sound sharply (vs the former years would end less abrupt), the note is more shaky than other performances, or the note itself sounds a bit thin (or not as full) at times. 2016 sounds like the "peak". That being said...still proud of her. I do want her to rest her voice a bit.

I think taeyeon and Seohyun has improved their vocal a lot.
