I bought this engine ran in a club race on Sunday finished break in on Saturday put a tune on it ran fine all day didn't touch it all day with nova pipe ran great well worth the money will be ordering another shortly great vid
Been waiting for this video. Glad you took my suggestion on getting one. Sometimes they come in a box and other times it comes in just a bag like yours did. The engine is an alpha made engine so the quality it trustable. The engine is inconsistent when buying. You can either get a three port which is more similar to the dragon 4 sleeve or you can get the five port like the one you got.
Indeed, man! I’ve been looking for things relate to these seg21 and supar 21 engines. Each of them are not exactly the same version, some has boost port on the crankshaft, some does not, and some of the sleeves have 5 ports while others just have 3, like you said , it’s randomly . Literally, it’s kind of like buying lottery tickets lol!
ive talked about them engines in my past vids on my channel for the money there a good buy i been looking at getting one ive seen others run them with good results good budget engine for sure great job bro
If you buy one now it will have a VERY high chance of it being an Alpha. Change the cooling head unless it comes with the newer drilled head n itll be a good club n bash engine.
Hay Rajjaa111 can you give me any information on how that engine runs. And how it tunes. Or can you do a full video on that engine . I want to try one thanks
Great info. I still got one from 2014 when they was made in the go factory. Got it from Rex, mine is a 3 port long stroke. Like you said great engines to get you in the game practice or club race with. Great video bro🏎💨💯👊👊💪💪👍👍
Track star is a hobbyking brand. A few years ago a young kid was given an old Thunder Tiger EB4 from a relative. He came out to the club for a his first go at racing and the original engine died after the 3rd qualifier. His parents were worried that he'd have to spend big money for a new engine, and i just told them to get the pull start version. He got it, I helped him break it in, and he flogged it at the track and in his back paddock for years. They're definitely bang for buck. 👍🏻
I bought one of these a week before Xmas 2020. I was an Alpha with the cheap Trackstar cooling head. I put an older NovaRossi cooling head in it after break in n then put a P5XLT crank in it and it RIPS. For less than $100 you cant touch it. Also mine was a 3 port alpha P/S/R.
@@rajaa111 Yes sir. It came alive P5XLT crank. I also put the backplate with the flow holes from the Dragon on it. It has about 4 gallons on it and it still rips.

@@godsun358 Yes and no. You still can buy some parts but not all parts are available. On eBay, you can Occasionally find Cooling Heads, bearings, and pistons with sleeves for these engines. Hobbyking had sold out almost everything - only the Rear Cover remained at their store. Since my first attempt at building a model airplane, in 1950, the model engines were correctly known as "glow engines". Now someone has for a long time begun to refer to them as "nitro" engines. There is no such thing as a nitro engine, and never has been. Nitro refers to a additive to a fuel mix, and is normally under 25%. I have had engines that required nitro, from 15% to 35% to run. They were still glow engines. I now have engines that require no nitro in the mix, but do require glow fuel. But just to rub a little salt, the last engines I bought, 6 K&B 4012 to be converted to 4011 (Aircraft instead of marine) I bought all six for $300, new old stock, and ordered the parts to convert to aircraft for $21 per engine. Not bad for US manufactured engines. And they came with the plugs.
Mine has 3 gallons on it. It fails the "droop to the side test". But it still runs really good. Idles all day long and sings nice on top. Only flames on empty tank or a poop plug. It feel way loose cold but still runs like a champ
The piston from the trackstar has silica or something like that in the aluminum so that’s why it has the grainy look to it
