i just bought the 50mm and 85mm and i think they are both underrated and overlooked ... while some other cheaper options have either no character or boring, ugly or even no flares and strange bokeh, the vazen deliver in all circumstances, many say they would wnat a wider one so i guess if you are into amber flares the atlas mercury are a great alternative now ... still i think these lenses are amazing and i hope i can completethe set one day.
Hi Tito, the 135mm looks good. I owned the 50MM (see my channel) but found myself needing to stop down quite a bit in order to get focus. Eventually, I parted with it. I found it too difficult to work with. Also the build quality was not befitting of the price. Now I’m eagerly awaiting the release of the Xeen Anamorphic 2X offerings. Price is rumored to be $4k-$5k. And the quality looks good. Have you had a chance to play with them yet? Any thoughts.
i dunno, i'm a hobbyist so no, i would never spend that kind of money on a lens. And for my hobby, using the Sirui 50mm FF and i just ordered their 75mm FF will be all the anamorphic lens i would ever need or want (with the side benefit of American Express not sending out a hitman)
Hey bud, I can't help you. There are too many numbers involved, I'm also pretty stupid. I use the calculator to figure out everything. There's a video explaining how to use it, right there on the link.
All the Vazens are great. They do actually have the qualities I look for. However even the 28mm MFT variant is too expensive for me to justify. So I might just never have any anamorphic lens.
You can buy this.... Or make your own at a much cheaper price. I ended up mounting a Rapido FVD 16A onto the front of a 35mm 2X scope. Then slapped on a broken Rokinon 85mm 1.5 I had laying around(stuck focus ring). Filming in s35 on my S1H gives me about the equivalent to a 127mm. I have some stills if you’d like to see :)
I have the $20,000 for this… but I really dont know what I am doing. But I really want it for my youtube channel. I think it would set me apart from everyone else in the maker field
Thanks for joining us on set once more Tito, really enjoy your reviews!

Very nice dude . I just recently purchased the 65mm and I love it . This 135 looks amazing! I wish they made it in MTF.
Darn. Your videos always make me lust after things I don't necessarily need or have the spare income to buy.
They make me want those things too! Whenever a lens is pricy, I just get to play with it for a bit, enough to make the video! hahahaha
@@AnamorphicChannel Hell, I'd be happy with even get to play with such things for a short time.
Your videos look very nice compared to a few years before
Thank you. I get better with age.
I want to buy this set but I would like at least a 35/32 mm for wider shots
Can the lens be usef with a speedbooster like the Fuji xh2s that also shoots open gate?
Yes, it can be used with a speedbooster.
What is that Star Wars project in the test footage?
Bucketheads. They're linked in the description. ruclips.net/video/VPxZCnHY6_A/видео.html
Nice monitor setup you have there! 😆
Ooooh yeah! hahaha. Also, go to bed! It's early! hahaha
Wow, that's a beautiful picture. I also don't have 20K to throw around but wish I did.
When can we expect Vazen ff showreel or short film!?...sounds crazy but, can you pair this with a 1.3x adapter and post a video please!.?
Hahaha! I was just talking to them about getting the full set to make a short to showcase them.
Very good.

No answer from Xeen. The last I read was their target price range was $25k though!
I’m hoping you’re wrong on that price.
I was just marginally off! It's actually $20k.

I'd love to see
It's true, and I mention this in the video! hahaha. It's usually a much heavier and finnicky setup though.
@@FosterMedia Instagram handle?
@@AnamorphicChannel Very true. But the Ronin S 2 should be able to hold 35mm scopes with no issues
Although risky giving the current Ukraine situation, the Xelmus are currently at 7.000$ on pre-order 🤷♂️
yes, I was going to mention these. The footage looks very nice out of the examples of the Xelmus too.

I'd say, if you don't know what you're doing, don't spend $20k on anything. hahahah.
@@AnamorphicChannel how would I learn if I never do?
By spending $400-600 on something simpler and getting a feel for it.
ergh, give me metric any day.
