- Here's a quick little video I did to show you a project I do in my Maker's Space class at school. It's a fun and inexpensive way for students to make their own stamps. These are fun to add initials or logos to their papers and notebooks. As mentioned in the video, if you try this...please be careful when making and using the gouges...they are sharp and can cut you. I assume no responsibility for your safety...if you feel this is dangerous for you...then simply enjoy watching me do it instead of trying it yourself...

Awesome little project Stan it reminds me of one of the very first things my dad taught me to do when I was little. We made these exact same things and I made a little happy face that I ended up stamping all of my books with to prove they were mine ☺️ so thanks for bringing back some good memories
Grant...that really warms my heart. For me it was my Uncle Harrold that taught me the most about making things...some of my very best memories.
That’s pretty cool Stan! Great little project! 👍
I guess Grant's father and I went to different schools together because we both did this many years back and I absolutely loved how you brought back such nostalgic memories! Thank you so very much!
Hey Richard, isn’t it interesting how many of us did this with erasers when we were young? I still like the gritty look...kind of like it’s perfect because it’s not...type of thing.
cool! the Mc Gyver version of a rubber stamp! I remember I did something similar with my grandfather when I was a child. good memories
Thank you, Alberto. This is a fun project to do with kids...Grant also remembers doing something similar with his Dad.
Great stuff! Very relaxing to watch and reminds me of my art classes when I was at school. It’s great to bring back all of those memories.
Thank you...this is kind of a throw back project...hope kids find it fun today.
Thank you for your safety tips! Safety comes first!
Yes...safe work is good work 👍🏼
Veey cool buddy!! Creative 👍
Thank you!
Hi Stan, What a great idea. Love it. Making your own gouges from a can is genius. Take care Stan. Cheers, Huw
Thank you, Huw! Not as effective as a real gouge I’m sure...but, more than up to the task when carving erasers.
Nice sharing. Beautiful video. Like.
Thanks so much!
Very nice. Enjoyed watching it. Big like. 😊👍
Thank you very much!
This is a great idea and has so many applications
Thank you!
Nice stamp...
Nice idea..👍👍👍
Thanks...I appreciate it!
Good job Mr. Mercer! Mine never turned out as good as yours.
Thanks, Ethan... I thought your stamps were great! I just get more practice because I do this every year 😊
Nice stamps, but you really need a sawstop on that gouge.
😂 That's probably very true in my case, Harki!
keep sharing. see u around...
Thank you so much!
I remember these! Good job those look really good
I also really like the tree one that’s cool
Thanks, Sydney...you were the best stamp maker I’ve ever had in class!!!
@@StanCrafted Thanks
Nice idea Stan 😊 ॐ
Thank you...it’s a fun little project.
Super like this, especially the tool from the coke can. Would you believe that company stamps etc are made by hand here on sidewalk stalls.
Thank you, Pascal...I think that is incredible that the stamps are still made by hand. Wish more things were...the world went and got in too big a hurry and things like that just don’t seem to be able to keep up.
