I have seen this show live hundreds of times. My mom loves the soundtrack and I have a copy in my car. The emotions this show brings up is what I wish any of the new WDW fireworks did. This show is one of the best displays I have ever seen and gives me all the feelings even watching it on a computer screen.

If there's one thing I've learned about Disney, the only thing they listen to is thousands of people screaming at them for something.

This is the show everyone is so upset over that it got replaced? Maybe because I’ve never seen this show before. This being my first time watching it, I kind of expected more. It’s a bit… simple. It’s calming. But what’s the story? I’m not getting it. I’m not saying simple is bad or boring. It’s just simple.
Look, this is just my opinion, so don’t kill me because I have a different opinion. I came here to see what all the fuss was about, that’s all.
Illuminations is so boring. So glad it’s gone now🤣 It needed an update.

I sent this video link to a friend so she could see this show and compare it to the new o e, and she agrees Illuminations needed an upgrade.
My papa and I would rush over to Epcot after an early dinner just to see Illuminations. It's so hard to see it go. My whole childhood was this show. Im so happy that in 2 weeks I will be able to see it for my final time. My papa and I ended up crying when we found out it was going away but, when we realized we'd get a new show we decided we shouldn't be sad and be happy!

This show was AMAZING. All the spirit of Epcot and World Showcase. All the emotion, this show was like an Olympic Games Ceremony.
Harmonious and Luminous are useless comparing to this.

Luminous looks no better. People say its a good successor, but honestly it's kinda lame and doesnt really fit in Epcot
Gosh, this show is just so much better than Harmonious. It has that epcot feel to it. I miss it.

Reflections of Earth was the icing on the cake of my evenings at Disney World in fall 1999 -- after Tapestry of Nations. Those experiences give me feelz still today!

Watching after just watching harmonious. Tech obviously not the same but the story and how it evolves is so much better. Originality! Oh yeah Disney isn't about that anymore. Sad! Creativity is lost that made it special.

is not impactful unless the source is. Had this technology updated to Illuminations same show, more advanced globe screens you'd be blown away!
I just watched Epcot forever tonight and cried my eyes out because I am 21 and grew up with this show. I had to come back and watch this because this will be a show I will cherish the rest of my life. I love illuminations. I am so grateful I got to see this hundreds of times my 21 years of life. Such great memories and a beautiful show!

Illuminations holds such a special place in my heart. We first witnessed it at the turn of the millenium with the Tapestry of Nations parade in Dec 2000. It will always, always remind me of my parents, but beyond that I became engaged to my husband at the Italy Pavillion in 2017, no one was there and we had it all to ourselves. There is so much emotion for so many people that encompasses Illuminations over the years. I've listened to the CD with my mom in the car growing up so many times. I will never forget this and I wish it could go on forever. My parents are older now, and I get emotional thinking of listening to this without them. I have the absolute best memories with them during these shows.
One vivid memory i have of this show was from when I was very little (maybe 6 or 7 yrs old). I was terrified of fireworks and large nighttime spectaculars at the time, so when the show started I ran into a gift shop to escape the firework explosions and loud music (my parents stayed outside to watch the show). I stayed in the gift shop for the entirety of the show and happened to find a cool collectible pen. I eventually bought it. That’s it.
How can we go on without We Go On? I don't know.
My husband and I had our wedding reception by Italy in Epcot during Illuminations Reflections of Earth. This is so sad. Hate to see it go. Keep the torches lit!

I don’t got to Disney much, economical problems make it difficult even if I’m a block away, but I fortunately got to see this show last year surrounded by all of my family. I couldn’t have asked for more. I hope Harmonious lives up to the hype.

I live 3 hours away and have been driving up once a month since they announced the end of this show. It has been a part of my Disney life and hate the idea that they are replacing it versus maybe adding new elements to the show. The music and the message is the right one for this park. I will be there on Sept 30th for sure.

Epcot used to wow people by how unique it was apart from intellectual properties. It stood on it's own without having to wave carrots over people's heads. The Old Epcot magic needs to come back

Just have to say, I love these hosts! I hope to see them back on Disney content, but if I do not see them as such; I hope they move on to wonderful careers of their choosing. They really are cheerful, uplifting and have magic in their presentation! :)

i sae Harmonius's last show, watching it was kind of painful, it was a disgrace to IllumiNations and Epcot as a whole and I'm glad it's gone. Epcot Forever honestly could have worked as a long term replacement. I saw that when it returned and it wad actually pretty good

My wife and I had our honeymoon in Disney world in March of 2013. We got to see this show together. It was perfect. We are sad to see it go, but we are looking forward to the future and see what Disney does for its 50th anniversary and if we decide to bring g our daughter that year.
I have a memory. When I was 8 I was in a Disney wedding I Baugh remember for. But I remember falling down the Disney steps and spraining my ankle hahaa. I hobbled for the rest of my trip. But we had the reception in Epcot and ended the night with fireworks. It was amazing!

This is much more than a fireworks show to me. My first year or marching band we did the music of this show, so to see it go really breaks my heart Bc if remains my favorite marching band show I’ve ever done and a new phase of my life beginning called high school. Hopefully they’ll do a little bit of illuminations in Epcot forever....

i love reflections of earth and i'm devastated to see it go. i always wished they'd keep the holiday version year round, where each country lights up while "peace on earth and good will to men" was said in their native language. i really hope epcot forever does something similar

I’m glad I saw this in person because the person filming is doing a terrible job. Almost like they’ve never seen this before. Zoomed in too much and missed a lot of cool moments.
I said the same thing, it really seems like they don't know the show.

I will be in Florida on May 17th with my best friend. We will stay there for 2 weeks. It will be my 9 time going there and will be my friends 1st time. We will be going to all 4 Disney parks, Sea World, Busch Gardens, and Both Universal parks
illuminations is my favorite firework show ever!!! And while i may be mad, o know Disney, very very well. And I know that this will most likely be a "wishes" scenario, where they somehow make a better one.

Illuminations was an uplifting emotional story of hope. Harmonious was a potpourri of assorted Disney IP with no relation whatsoever to what Epcot message is about

This was my absolute favorite show as a kid! I still remember this and the Millenium Celebration parade when they just started and you could easily find good viewing spots around the lagoon. So sad this is no longer playing and I hope Harmonious is just as good as this!! Also Travis' photos are INCREDIBLE!!!!
October 2021 update: Recently saw Harmonius.... I was sadly disappointed. Reflections of Earth was monumentally better.
Who's directing this? If you keep changing zoomed in camera angles in sync with the music changes then no one can appreciate that the show itself is synced with the music.

I saw the last show in Sept 2019, little did I know that the World as we know it would be ending with that. Between Covid and Chapek it’s just magical anymore.
Came here from Harmonius, definitely impressive for it’s time, still outdated. But I’m an ‘01 guy so I’m not really quick to jump on top of the new so that’s just me.
I miss this show so much can we have it back now.

when the new fireworks show come in, they should do illuminations every year on the week of Sep 30th that would be cool
I’ll be very sad to see IllumiNations go. With the exception of Fantasmic (which I don’t love), this is the last nighttime entertainment that was at Disney when I first went that is still around. I feel like next time I go, with IllumiNations gone, it won’t be the same Disney I grew up with, at least as far as night shows go. But, as Walt said, Disney was never meant to be a museum, and it will always change and grow. I cried when they retired Wishes, but Happily Ever After is absolutely incredible, so I have high hopes for Epcot Forever (I only wish it would stick around for longer than a year). As amazing as IllumiNations is, it’s definitely been there for a while and is frankly ready for a change. I’ll definitely miss it when it’s gone though, especially the soundtrack 💙💙💙
Sad to see it go, but epcot is always evolving and inovating and it should be cool to see what is happening next!

But on a real note Illumination Reflections of Earth is a beautiful show and it is sad to see it go but everything good one day has to go. And if you are sad don't be because like Walt Disney said We Have to Keep Moving Forward and that is what were doing I just want to thank Disney For more than 20 years of Illumination and to here making a special return one day in the future can't wait for Epcot Forever and hope its like Disneyland Forever and ready for Project Kappa.
