needle felted Mouse craft

Today I am creating a needle felted mouse that stands on a cotton reel. I begin by making his wire armature and then wrapping it with wool to create his little hands and feet. Even my cat likes him as you will see!

Hi Patricia, I will do a vid of the armature I make for the mice, it is made up of wire twisted together to make little legs and a tail. Each twisted leg has 5 wire threads to produce toes, I then wrap all of the wire with normal wool yarn, and then paint watered down copydex type glue over it to strengthen and bond the wool yarn. Not easy to understand when writing it down but as I said I will do a vid showing how it is done very soon.

@@faerietailsandfables13. Thank you for giving me such detail. I love the way you make the little fingers (? Toes?), but I really look forward to your armature - perhaps you would be kind enough to give gauge of wire used and the lengths too please. As you will have observed, I am very much a beginner. However, I have just purchased some walnuts and hinges for your hidden wool creatures. You inspire me!

I want to hear you talk and tell us what gauge of wire you are using and did you make your pink pillow that you are working on? Give us directions, I don’t want the music I would love to hear you teach us.

I shall be doing some more tutorials very soon and have done a couple on this chanel already if you haven't seen them yet. Thank you for your comment! My pillow is made from hessian and filled with rice. I will show one made for people to see in a new tutorial I will make about the tools I like to use.
