That's all we got. It's time to make either Congress or the courts shape the employee/independent contractor in a proper way. It's beyond ridiculous; damn near criminal.
@@ipaulmagu what is everybody fighting about? The companies not just gonna open the checkbook. You gotta go out there and make the money. Every market is different. If your market is oversaturated and they’re just giving you bullshit money maybe you should find something else to do the whole revolves around how much you get for a mile if you’re making less than $1.83 you probably should quit, if everybody would quit they wouldn’t have a rideshare company but people are going to work for peanuts. That’s the whole problem too many drivers working for peanuts I’m just in a bubble as Sergio says I’m just saying.
I drive in Phoenix, it's absurd to offer trips that pay minimum wage BEFORE I consider the cost of providing my car and then punish me for not accepting it.
You should see what they try to offer a $21 an hour guarantee in this market it was 22 then it was 23 then it was 24 then it was 25 I need I say more they were offering people $21 an hour this week I’ll send Sergio to Snapchat
The way to fix this problem. Drivers work to get commercial insurance on your vehicles. Set up your own business. Use Uber/Lyft the way they are using you(Aka build your clientele through them) keep 100% of your profits. Charge the rates you want. Cut the middle man out.
I don't understand that reasoning because I have a Business with commercial insurance, if a person takes a private run in my car. I have proof that I'm just a private driver. They send me an email or text to schedule a ride. So how does that make me in any way shape or form responsible for their crime.
There have been times where I won't get a ride request for an hour or so, sometimes with a surge for my next ride or close to getting a bonus. I go offline and back online and suddenly I'm getting non-stop requests. I keep an eye on the passenger app and notice I'm not showing up on the map until I toggle online. They are definitely playing games.
I called Uber about this “Trip Radar” garbage. I asked them to remove it from my account, they said they couldn’t, i told them if you put it on you can take it off, they said they couldn’t. I haven’t turned this trash back on since.
If people actually had balls and just completely shut down their Uber apps for just one whole day things would change but that’ll never happen because people are sheep
Companies prey on the psychology of the average person. They know they can be shut down, and at the same time, they know not everyone will do it due to necessity.
These are breeding grounds for a new rideshare company, solve all the problems that uber is causing and you got an army of people ready to work for you. May need to sacrifice profits a bit, but some creativity could launch a new company really high really fast.
I wish we could reach more consumers like you, there are 132 million in the Uber platform who have no idea what's going on, we need voices like yours to join the drivers
Last night 5/20 Saturday in LA had no surge bonus more than $2.25 all night long. Less than $4 surge bonus in LA is not worth it. Washing dishes at restaurant is better earning.
Hey there's Jay👍🏾 I appreciate Sergio because he always saying it just the way it is . Chris is great too👍🏾All of you guys are greatly appreciated. Thanks for all you say and do💯
When I drove, Lyft would give bonuses (specific number of rides during a specific time frame). Time was almost up. Neighbor needed short ride and was standing outside of my car. He got a driver fifteen minutes away. Proof they lie and cheat to avoid bonus promotion.
Love the mindset fellas! I've BEEN saying (and doing): "Don't ask a boss for any favors/salary, show a motherfkr your value and work for his competitors the moment he doesn't value you." ❤ NEVER beg the master for crumbs lol.
I was just a few points away from platinum until I realized what am I getting out of this except a digital medal. My acceptance rate has no been declining, and I suddenly realized that not only am I not getting upfront pricing, but they are not now showing me total trip distance and time, only showing me distance and time to my pickup. Also, they have something called quest challenges, which make it hard to meet as you get closer to completion due to them sending you out of the area. Total B.S.
In Portland Oregon we still have 0.70 cents per mile and 0.24 cents per minute rate. the thing is they don’t have much drivers on the road. Most Portland driver go to Washington to get more pay it just driving 5 miles to get paid more on Seattle rate.
This is wrong. I'm in NC and recently they have been giving me garbage. Uber wants to hold us accountable on acceptance rate and force drivers to take garbage trips at the same time the pay is crap, they don't pay for our car, gas, mileage and it looks like we no longer are compensated for pick up. I've been with Uber since 2016 and each year I make less. One would think Uber would have some bonus for long term drivers. Nothing ..just a daily slap in the face. I recall when drivers could work a few hours and be ok. Now to make that same amount of money we are being forced to work 12 hours a day to make part time wages. This is exploitation. Now they have the audacity to complain about acceptance rates when all they're sending us is sh. trips. Riders are burn out on tipping. Uber getting to be not worth it. The bonuses are crap, there no demand pay. It's a shame the Uber is no longer the hustle it used to be. It's more like a scam than a hustle.
Many drivers out there don’t even look they make money or not and they accept the ride. I drive when i am free. Seeing those fare from uber/lyft most of them are bs pay. There is no way drivers can be profit if each mile is less than $1 per mile.
@@sergioSMTMC1 regarding the timeout. I usually turn off the uber apps after I reject the rides and go on to lyft. Then if i reject lyft for a few rides i go back to uber. It seems like they will continue sending new rides to me. Like you said. Just keep going back and forth. i rather waste much time waiting for profitable rides then lost money doing garbage.
I'm currently at a 27% acceptance rate and 11% cancellation. The cancellation rate is so high because of spamming while trying to log off. I take quite a few radar trips. I'm making 30$ per hour most days, some days can push 40+.
Stop driving for Uber for one week. Switch to Lyft. You guys have a platform. Pick a week, any week and get the drivers in your area and all areas for that matter, boycott Uber...go to Lyft. It is really that simple. I'm boycotting Uber ... going to Lyft.
I am sick of these low prices why did Uber drop their prices for 6 miles away to pick somebody for $10 are you freaking kidding me charging what a cab to charge them, that's why people are declining even I am declining more rides and ever had because I'm not doing it I'm not going to drive someone in the inner city or in the rural areas 10 miles away and it takes me almost 30 minutes I want to be compensated for my time a dollar fifty per minute is how she repaid we should not be paid towards mileage it should be time because if I'm in the city and I'm taking some 5 minutes away it can be a 15 minutes ride because of all the lights same thing in the rule areas we should be paid for our time Napa mileage give us 25 cents for mileage but time
Drivers all over the country are experiencing hours of wait time between trip requests on Friday and Saturday nights. The past two nights the banner at the bottom only says "you're online". No "Finding rides" no "You're in a busy area".....just stuck on "you're online". I uninstalled and reinstalled the app tonight hoping to clear that up. Nope. It only got worse after that. I cleared data and cache. Restart my phone. Then everything seemed fine. Got a trip request and when it went to navigation it booted me offline. WTF?! Tried to go back online and I hear the prompt to pickup my passenger then boom boots me offline again. I couldn't even cancel the trips that were glitching. First one canceled and I got a cancellation fee. I couldn't even refund the riders cancellation fee. Went to "help" (hahahah very funny support...useless) and they gave me the "logout", "force stop", restart your phone, and log back in. I double checked everything as far as permissions go and everything was good on my phone. I repeated the steps and cleared the cache and restarted the app. When I restarted the app in went into the "day mode" display. I was afraid to accept another trip but, when I did it went to navigation to the pickup. Uber IT dept and infrastructure is hot trash. Totally out of control with all these "measures" to fight our independence as private contractors.
2nd week in a row… 4 rides away from quest… after 5th ride, the 4th ride offer was made 1 hour 20 minutes later. Hard reset on app and phone multiple times. I was definitely being overlooked intentionally.
They fake customers accused me of driving under the influence and I told uber I'd take a blood test and sue them and they gave me extra earnings and turned me on late Sunday. It was all for denying a quest. I killed them on Quests many times when it was like 300 to 400 bonus they almost always deactivate you for a day or two until it'd over. They absolutely give the good paying rides to those that either opt out of quest or can't get it based on rides aount
I'm having major troubles with both apps . For whatever reasons I was deactivated from Uber back in march . I have tried to contact background check a million times . No response. Now Lyft is only offering these almost unattainable ride quests. With no or close to none ride streaks with minimal surge prices . I haven't met my goal now in several weeks. This weekend it was 90 rides for top tier bonus . I was 7 rides away from my bonus at 12:30 am and they timed me out. Said I had been online for to long and I needed to break for a few hours . Basically cock blocked me from bonus . I drove way longer hours the week of superbowl and this was only the second time in almost 2 years . I've driven from morning til 5 am the next morning before and they have let me go on driving . Seems very fishy and I believe they are scamming hard . Even yesterday I drove from morning til almost 2 am 😡
I personally like trip radar. To me, it's like being at a buffet and I can choose where my ride originates and where my ride will end up. I can see a panel of rides to strategize from. I just don't like how they send a TON of them at the same time, as I should only get like maybe 3 or 4 in the radar to pick from - not 8! Now, the issue I have with trip radar is where they add rides from WAYYYY out (10 miles away) that shouldn't be considered as being on my radar. Anything in my area should be included in my radar, and that's it. Then let me see which rides are gonna take me in which direction - all from the trip radar buffet.
Uber wants you to drive for less than a dollar a mile , and now Uber in a strong position because they destroyed the taxi business and know destroyed Lyft too, and they have a lot of drivers, but the only way Uber will stop intimidating the drivers is if the drivers stop accepting the garbage trips, and Uber needs to understand that the gig work expanded in the last few years and Uber and Lyft are not the only show in town.
Uber is going to see a rise in conflicts between drivers and passengers if they keep forcing drivers to pick up any trip, everyone just needs to go on a strike .
They tried something similar with me here in Orlando Fl. I called Uber and when they told me that I had to accept more rides or my account will be put on hold my reply was, you freeze my account and I’ll put my magnetic signs that say in big bold letters “ 20% bellow ride share and make double what you pay me and every trip I do will be one passenger they will not log in to your platform. It happened about 5 times and no more.
Has anyone noticed when the ride info comes up the along with the ride fare and the distance to travel for pickup that the actual milage to the pickup is acually longer?
I get put in timeout at least 10 times a night all i do is go offline foot 1minute then back online and start recieving regular rides i dont do trip radar period i cherry pick always
Also in regards to the new quests options. Passengers will start to complain. When we would get our quests via number of rides, us drivers may or may not take the smaller rides just to get the count down. But now with drivers having to get a bonus based off the amount of $$ we make, drivers are going to only want to accept the bigger paying rides to get the bonus faster and/or to get a bigger bonus. So these passengers with the small trips are going to wait longer or the fare will go up. SO STUPID
14k Ubereats deliveries here. These platforms have one philosophy, make you go as far as possible, for as long as possible, for as cheap as possible. It started clandestinely when u didn’t accept two rides in a row it would automatically sign you off, now this? Always, always, always have more gig apps available that you can go to for alternative income. Do not EVER depend on one or two. They have sneaky tactics to get you to take non profitable rides and it’s covert bullying where you loose they win.
I'm not taking rides, that make zero financial sense. Jay says he likes Lyft auto accept. Why? Lyft sends garbage trips too. I always turn on last ride, so I can evaluate a ride, before accepting.
Lyft has arbitrary timeouts after x number of cancels. Sometimes it's 24 minutes, sometimes it's 48 minutes. When there aren't enough drivers, there's no time out. So keep cherry picking.
I miss just turning on the app and taking what it sends me. I don't know that this will ever be possible again. Sergio always speaking truth. Nobody's winning this war.
You CAN win bro. Just need certain elements on your side: High density location, high volume of rides and high income customers. The technique of cherry picking at the right times and knowing your city/market make this game doable. I made $1700 with rideshare this week!
I drive this same area(mesa) and seen this same message. Eats isn't any better gas is also $5 a gallon. very rarely do I see anything over $5 on eats. Most are going well over 19 miles.
What other apps make you take a selfie why your working beside Uber Eats??? Does Uber drive, dour dash, Lyft, Grubhub?? Please someone answer me…thank you.
They don’t give me any trip radar in la the trips go to fast. People are accepting anything here so I forward trips then they cut me off and I let it go and then shut off the app switch to Lyft. This one I had a lady request the same ride on Lyft and uber. They gave me the same ride with same price down to the penny
I get a similar effect on UE, if I decline a couple in a row, it makes me wait (sometimes hours) until it gives me another one. It's been happening for a couple months in my area, happened two days ago... so I logged off, signed out, and took a couple days off. That's what they'll get from me... no driving at all for a couple/few days each time after they do this. If they insist I take bad offers to be in the game, I'll just get in a better game elsewhere. And their 01%/13%/100% driver will not be "getting it done right"... they can have some retiree w/o a hot bag, and poor navigation skills do the "job". I provide exemplary service, and there are no industries where it is cheap to get the best service, I expect to be compensated for the extra effort... not multi-apping, disabling new requests so current customer gets hot food, and I tape a life-saver and andees thin mint for each diner on each meal. From about 4k deliveries I've found a base+$1or$2 tip delivery RARELY gets bumped up afterwards... but base+$5 deliveries OFTEN increase the tip for exemplary service. There is something fundamentally wrong with Uber expecting "top tier" drivers to drive for "bottom rung" pricing. I'm not going to do it Uber, find a better way.
@@sergioSMTMC1 Thanks! If you guys ever need something to talk about, that is a no-brainer overnight fix: Uber wouldn't be able to defend the ambiguity of "leave at door" for even a second, with even the most creative spin doctor. All customers have expectations for their deliveries, some put them in delivery instructions. 35% don't care if you knock or not on a leave at door delivery. They are flanked on either side by people who have rambunctious dogs, sleeping babies, or conference calls, (people that absolutely do not want a knock or ring)... And those that are hungry and want their food the freshest, at highest possible temperature, (and definitely do want to be alerted with a knock or ring) when their food is delivered. The existence of "leave at door" as an option, (without the simple variance of "knock/ring" or "no knock/ring") creates an *ambiguity* on every delivery that needs to be actually explored in order to effectively navigate these customer expectations. Uber could make EVERY delivery slightly more efficient by enhancing the amount of options that the customer has in these drop-down menus, aside from one simple choice of leave or meet at door.... and while we're at it remind them to turn on their light for their porch address, and put any other delivery instructions... in the delivery instructions. I have suggested this to support repetitively for 2 years, and it's frankly quite embarrassing that Uber hasn't done the simple two or three lines of code necessary to increase the number of drop-down menus in the delivery options. Every time support tells me "what a great idea it is"... that they're going to "run it up the flagpole", and then I continue to be in the same place, with the same inadequate tool, that is basically forged for ineptitude!
I am 1 of those drivers..okay time out.. I'll go home or do other things n that timeout reduce 100 bucks from the previous wk pay out n yes $5 for 30min drive...nope not doing it lol
If Uber makes me mad, Lyft gets my time. If both Uber and Lyft make me mad, I have three other ride share gig companies I use regularly. I always have options.
Lyft does I've had to cancel a ride keep in mind I'm taking care of a sister who has cancer, so doing so stuff comes up. When I go online again which is a scheduled ride then after a few minutes the notifications come in ride cancelled. Happens a lot...
What you do is you log off after two declines and then put back on. I saw somebody in Boston do this. He end of the client like 10 till he got the one that he wanted.
Accept every trip. Send a message to pax that you'd like to take the trip, but you aren't being paid fairly. Then cancel. That ties up the system and will eventually make the fare higher if enough of us do it.
@@sergioSMTMC1 is it though? My cancellation rate is already at 80%. I take a screenshot of every offer. If it looks “decent” I’ll accept it. Then I go and analyze it further using the info on the screenshot. Most of the time, it’s not a great trip, so I cancel.
It is a war. It's a war of attrition. All Uber has to do is wait out the drivers. They've probably had their actuaries run the numbers, and they've determined that they'd do better if 20% of drivers quit but it was mostly or all cherry pickers.
I have given three different riders a low score for link a wait time at pick up. Each time I have, I have been disciplined by Uber riders by giving myself a 1star rating . Now I have been accused of being under the influence. I haven’t drank in 20 years now my account is on hold while waiting for them to review I believe their algorithm is disciplining me for having a 49% acceptance rating
Idk about that, my acceptance rate is 14%, on a bad day, it's 8% 🤣😂. I do see that they only give me 3 trips a day but I tri-multi-app so I don't pay Uber much attention when they try the lame attempt to limit my trips, I go to whoever shows me the money and I'll hang around the app thats dropping me good money 💸 💸.
Ubers CEO made 23 million last year at a 22 percent increase in earnings from the previous year, these people at the top are getting paid way to much and they are trying to gouge every last penny out of its bottom employees to increase their earnings at the top!
Uber and Lyft could easily create a balance in which drivers could make good money simply by charging the customer more and making the app driver split fairly and everybody gets paid except the rider of course but the rider gets great service. So simple..
This will most likely get burried, or someone has talked about this. A rental car driver, the companies are in on it (in regards to cooking books, and upfront fares acknowledgements 100% of the time). Reason I say this.... uber goes by standard rates in the DFW (DALLAS/FT WORTH). You can get a toll tag, register it, they take the fees out regardless, and still charge you anyways. The nightmare about this is two fold. Not only are the fees through these companies exhuberantly high -- they are impossible to get a decently timed response for reimbursement. There in lies more time I have to wait, while money is bleeding out of an account, only to have it happen. Over, and over, and over again..... there needs to be a 49.99 surcharge fee for any company that does not do their due diligence in regards to contacting these departments and banks for their holding times on funds, these seemingly random .01 cent charges etc. Nobody is being held accountable (the companies playing blame game.... now you're back on hold with you bank just to verify info with -- ohp too late the other establishment has closed after hours "thank you for calling, good bye") and it's costing us thousands a year. Bullshit says someone.... why thousands?!?!? Where do you get such a figure.... Time. You're costing us time to do your job which is why we put money into your companies, into the services you provide. You sit on your ass and answer phones. You do not hold lives in the balance with your job, and when your job does not pay you and we all start to feel replacable (which is happening regardless, in 10-15 years there will be no more drivers, only body gaurds). This is the problem, we're still squabiling over dollars per mile, when we should be talking about the safety reports directly caused by their pushing constant rides or else, which in turn are causing mutliple deaths on and off the clock (do not get me started on insurance claims and how nobody wants to take responsibility for it and are extemely unhelpful with rental companies even IF YOU HAVE YOUR OWN COMMERCIAL INSURANCE ON TOP OF UBER/LYFT, ANNNNNDDDDD IT'S THROUGH THE FUCKING RENETALS WAIVER! WAKE UP PEOPLE... They're just milking is for every penny until the electronic dollar takes hold. At that point, it'll be every man and woman for themselves (which is sad, especially when the fast majority just want a 'fair shake' and a seat at the table. It's all run by greed, and thieves, enjoy the rest of your regular programing.
The national average cost per is about 60 cents. I don't take any Rides or deliveries less than $3. Unless I'm on DD. It's never more than $2 a mile unless you get a good tip. Boston.
You are right Sergio they do that with drivers so they can’t complete the quest too the extent of giving fake trips towards the end of completing the quest. Quest is our own money taken from each trip and tips during the week it’s not an add on. So instead of giving say the driver 10 dollars they will give them 7 and store the 3 as tips or quest money. So I stopped taking quests completely. They want us to be on the road for 12 hours and do more trips. Bottom line earning whether it be surge, bonus, streak or quest the money is the same by the hour they set for us.
This is how untrainable I am. I drive a Tesla now. And I still in my head. Account for gas. 🤭. Not giving Uber the benefit of me driving an ev with lower costs. 😂
The quest bonus is a joke in this market, Atlanta. Used to be $200-$350 for 60 trips. Now $30-$50 and games from Uber with long crap trips, or no/few trips.
It's been doing this to me for about 2 weeks. Uber gave us decent quests this weekend, then all the drivers flooded the market. We didn't get hardly any surges not even at the bar close. You can uninstall it and reinstall and you can bypass it.
Also I would like to add, here in Indianapolis ( not sure if it's like this in all the cities) but I feel like Uber gives us these high quest because it's impossible to get when everyone floods the market trying to get them. So all these drivers value drive. I will not compromise my $1 a mile. I refuse to drive for pennies. Uber knows this so Uber has me in time out I uninstall and reinstall at least 5 times a night. I also have to take pictures of myself at least once an hour. I've been doing this job for almost 5 years. Uber has compromised their own values. I went and got my LLC's , my EDIN #, business account, and Uber helped me establish my clientele. These Riders are tired of paying high dollars for a ride and the money isn't fairly given to the drivers. When did an $8.25 surge from the airport to downtown ( about 17 min. drive ) become $14.00? Surges make absolutely no sense.
They have been doing this for a quite a while both uber and uber eats, (after declining 3 trips/orders in a row), they just haven't been telling us about it. Last night I was super busy from 5-8 and needed one more order to complete my quest. (5-9); Sat from 8-9pm near busy restaurants and didn't receive an order for one whole hour. As soon as 9:01pm clicked suddenly started receiving orders again, 3 requests within 5 minutes.
@@sergioSMTMC1 It's legal because we are independent contractors not employees. If we don't like it they will just hire more drivers, they have an endless supply. There is always somebody out there who is desperate and will work for less
I agree with the panel. I love driving and the passengers . However the fees are so low. My rating 4.98 , exceptance rate 85%, cancellation 2%. They don’t care it like a robot running the business. I will now refuse all trips under $5. I no longer need to be faithful for them to keep using me. I found that they don’t tell the true drop off location, it’s always 1-2 miles further.
@@red32303 honestly I’d suggest leaving the gig share economy all together at this point, the only reason why it exists in the first place is because they were clever enough to trick to trick people into destroying their own property for a little bit of profit. The gig economy is coming to an end
thats why i like the lyft scheduled ride, lets you cherry pick rides that way, even though theres hundreds of cheap rides least you can pick which ones to take ahead of time. Helps to schedule your day some.
This is not happening to me yet here in Boston, but I wouldn't really care. I probably get about 20-30% of my rides off of TR. The Boston market is rather small and every driver has a different idea of a good trip, so I frequently see very profitably trips on TR
This is the oldest game in town that you all have agreed to... FedEx ground try this 20 years ago... independent contractors. Did it for 14 years and got into their class action lawsuit when they finally stopped and were forced to change the business model of logistics transportation... The main sticking point that they kept losing to was the simple fact that independent contractors could not control the pay they would receive they are not indirect contact with customers... Therefore independent contractor model could not be completely satisfied according to transportation regulations and IRS independent contractor models... Look it up it is in the books under a FedEx versus Alexander... The lawyers that finally settled all went to work for Uber 10 years ago... Look it up FedEx versus Alexander
Why don't we start a GoFundMe that will offer a bounty to an insider at Uber or Lyft to tell us what is really going on in regards to throttling and all things that are negatively affecting drivers.
I love Chris’ comment on the vein “I welcome Uber’s idiocy!” 😂 I also understand Jay’s being pragmatic, every time Uber throws us a hurdle you learn to circumvent it. I just hope Lyft doesn’t go under, not that I prefer it, just that without competition we’ll be dead in the water. We have to celebrate Jay’s 30 K ride! Auto accept?!? It’s the worst! You can’t cherry pick! Sergio is 100% correct! Uber due to their necessity to appease stockholders is possibly killing the goose that lays the golden eggs of the Gig Economy, independent contractor classification!
I believe that uber said recently that the main reason for drivers to decline a request is based on bad area pick up which is totally false.. and the reason is the rate for the ride is shut. They implement this new punishment is to scare drivers and pick up those shifty rides that they give you. I've noticed that u cannot find a decent ride anymore.. most of the rides are less than a dollar. This is user's treatment to us drivers.. we are shit to them and they don't give the f..k. if I can't get my 30/hour I will stop driving..
I ALWAYS have both Uber and Lyft on at the same time when I’m waiting for a ride. My Uber acceptance rate is 14% which is to high in my opinion. I NEVER click on Ride Radar just as a matter of principle.
Uber eats is even worse. You only get one point that you have to go 45 minutes to deliver a meal and it’s only like a 3 to 5 dollar payout is there it’s not least paying me five or seven dollars I’m not taking those. I’m still waiting to get approved for a DoorDash, there are the competitor and the people I know are making a whole lot more for the same kind of deliveries. I don’t wanna be penalized when you get to restaurant and it’s really long wait time and I have to cancel the order because it was my time and gas to get to the restaurant.
So what? CEO guy said it’s their fault, he is not testifying in front of congress, nor he is under oath. All he is doing is telling the rideshare guy whatever he/we want to hear but they/Uber is not going to do anything about it.
I think if people need to wait longer than normal and finally get someone people tend to rate the drivers lower than what you should be getting normally should be 5 stars if nothing happens since having to wait they will rate 3 or lower stars
I drive in Phoenix we need more money the rate are very low the prices are very bad we’re not making any money we need to changes happen with gas prices…
I tried to argue with uber that I needed more info before pickup...they responded by saying that until my acceptance rate went up, I was not entitled to that information...it's bad business. I'm a great driver and get 5 star ratings..you think they'd want to reward drivers like me. Instead, they think I can't do simple math and willing to accept .25 cents on garbage rides.
What do you think about this?!

Yes good advice
That's exactly what I did. Target college students in your area. They feel safe having their own driver and the parents as well.
Big problem with that! If you get caught with a passenger that does illegal things you will be charged with party to the crime! Not a good idea
I don't understand that reasoning because I have a Business with commercial insurance, if a person takes a private run in my car. I have proof that I'm just a private driver. They send me an email or text to schedule a ride. So how does that make me in any way shape or form responsible for their crime.
@@Lmgsonlysquad no you will not. I being doing transportation for over 14 years I ran the company for 3 years. Never has that happened
If people actually had balls and just completely shut down their Uber apps for just one whole day things would change but that’ll never happen because people are sheep
you absolutely right
Companies prey on the psychology of the average person. They know they can be shut down, and at the same time, they know not everyone will do it due to necessity.

When I drove, Lyft would give bonuses (specific number of rides during a specific time frame). Time was almost up. Neighbor needed short ride and was standing outside of my car. He got a driver fifteen minutes away. Proof they lie and cheat to avoid bonus promotion.

Total B.S.
I agree . when youre coming close to your challenge completion the trips do slow down

It had happened to me in the Miami area. I just go offline and drive for Lift for a while

In Portland Oregon we still have 0.70 cents per mile and 0.24 cents per minute rate. the thing is they don’t have much drivers on the road. Most Portland driver go to Washington to get more pay it just driving 5 miles to get paid more on Seattle rate.
Just above the IRS deduction
Yes they throttle you !! It happens to me every time I’m about to finish my trip incentives!!
Many drivers out there don’t even look they make money or not and they accept the ride. I drive when i am free. Seeing those fare from uber/lyft most of them are bs pay. There is no way drivers can be profit if each mile is less than $1 per mile.

I'm currently at a 27% acceptance rate and 11% cancellation. The cancellation rate is so high because of spamming while trying to log off. I take quite a few radar trips. I'm making 30$ per hour most days, some days can push 40+.

Good points
2nd week in a row… 4 rides away from quest… after 5th ride, the 4th ride offer was made 1 hour 20 minutes later. Hard reset on app and phone multiple times. I was definitely being overlooked intentionally.
Throttled
They fake customers accused me of driving under the influence and I told uber I'd take a blood test and sue them and they gave me extra earnings and turned me on late Sunday. It was all for denying a quest. I killed them on Quests many times when it was like 300 to 400 bonus they almost always deactivate you for a day or two until it'd over. They absolutely give the good paying rides to those that either opt out of quest or can't get it based on rides aount
Especially if Uber steal up to $35,000 from full time drivers. They slow you down sometimes 2 hours in main traffic time.
Absolutely everybody’s drinking the Kool-Aid
Sorry pos stealing our money!

I drive in Atlanta, and here Uber pays as little as 50 cents a mile, and 90% of the time they take 55% or more. Clearly, they are ripping off drivers.
Come on, trash buffet, no quality in there, only quantity, TR is where trips go to DIE
Something will give and Uber will get punished for this move guys. You are right. Watch Lyft gain more riders and drivers.
You bet, government is coming
It's already happening.
Dd does the dame thing. Disgusting. These companies need to be regulated and then FINED heavily for this kind of overeaching, exploitive behavior!

If you guys ever need something to talk about, that is a no-brainer overnight fix:
Uber wouldn't be able to defend the ambiguity of "leave at door" for even a second, with even the most creative spin doctor.
Or I could drive for another company. If Uber suspends me, what's the loss? I'm not making money anyway.

If Uber makes me mad, Lyft gets my time. If both Uber and Lyft make me mad, I have three other ride share gig companies I use regularly. I always have options.

What you do is you log off after two declines and then put back on. I saw somebody in Boston do this. He end of the client like 10 till he got the one that he wanted.
That's what we suggested swipe up and force close the app and come back in a minute

Great know your worth
You are right Sergio they do that with drivers so they can’t complete the quest too the extent of giving fake trips towards the end of completing the quest.
Quest is our own money taken from each trip and tips during the week it’s not an add on. So instead of giving say the driver 10 dollars they will give them 7 and store the 3 as tips or quest money. So I stopped taking quests completely. They want us to be on the road for 12 hours and do more trips. Bottom line earning whether it be surge, bonus, streak or quest the money is the same by the hour they set for us.
Signed out and couldn't log in before the quest of $300. Had 9 rides left. Got screen recording to prove it. And no I had only driven 5/6 hours.

Good comment
Means nothing, are they profitable? Stop accepting garbage
The key is better pay. My market is non stop as well 😂 but guess what? Most of the offers are trash!!
Why don't we start a GoFundMe that will offer a bounty to an insider at Uber or Lyft to tell us what is really going on in regards to throttling and all things that are negatively affecting drivers.
They totally stop you from not only from getting quests and boosts !
Yep, needs to end
Good comment
I believe that uber said recently that the main reason for drivers to decline a request is based on bad area pick up which is totally false.. and the reason is the rate for the ride is shut. They implement this new punishment is to scare drivers and pick up those shifty rides that they give you. I've noticed that u cannot find a decent ride anymore.. most of the rides are less than a dollar. This is user's treatment to us drivers.. we are shit to them and they don't give the f..k. if I can't get my 30/hour I will stop driving..
Arizona need the help with fare, it’s too low driver’s not making enough, pay us the right fare
Yes, yes cherry picking and that’s the only way , payback time
100%
I’d just shut the app off for an hour and screw them.
Yep
I ALWAYS have both Uber and Lyft on at the same time when I’m waiting for a ride. My Uber acceptance rate is 14% which is to high in my opinion. I NEVER click on Ride Radar just as a matter of principle.
I drive in Milwaukee wisconsin still no upfront pricing
Wow you really don't want it
Uber eats is even worse.
He's under oath on our channel😂 makes him look like an idiot
I think if people need to wait longer than normal and finally get someone people tend to rate the drivers lower than what you should be getting normally should be 5 stars if nothing happens since having to wait they will rate 3 or lower stars
👍
I drive in Phoenix we need more money the rate are very low the prices are very bad we’re not making any money we need to changes happen with gas prices…
Agreed
I tried to argue with uber that I needed more info before pickup...they responded by saying that until my acceptance rate went up, I was not entitled to that information...it's bad business. I'm a great driver and get 5 star ratings..you think they'd want to reward drivers like me. Instead, they think I can't do simple math and willing to accept .25 cents on garbage rides.
