Just got one and set it on the shelf. After playing with it. Its got incredible capabilities. Great bidirectional scan tool
The online/bluetooth database is neat. I bought this and just hooked it up real quick to get the code(s) and didnt even realize how extensive the support/database is until seeing this video.

Exactly,same problem for years,getting ready to buy another scan tool but not innova this time around. Can’t update my 3130e repair solutions picks up the tool but that as far as it gets,lesson learned don’t plan on updates.
Any full time mechanics use these innova tools? I have 2 of these and can’t update them,app is limited,connects but that’s all I can do. Looking into getting an Autel one.

I can’t access any of this??? Help. It just says engine is green and 2/30 reports say passed. That’a it. No stored codes or anything.
I have a 6030P but the only time I see the codes is when it is connected to my ODB port. It is not saving the codes to the app so I can look them up later, how can I save the codes/reports to the app without having it connected to the 6030P
Hi, thanks for reaching out to us. The Innova 6030p gets power from the vehicle so when you disconnect it from your vehicle port the tool will automatically shut off so therefor you cannot save the codes on the tool.

I need help please my scan tool was plug in on my computer then I launch an update but at 8% my laptop went off and the update wasn’t completed and now my scan tool 3160g shows blank white screen only
You can try rebooting your 3160g by connecting it to any vehicle with the engine running, and make sure there are no batteries in the tool. All of our scan tools connect to 96 and newer OBD2 certified vehicles through their accessory fuses. That's how the OBD2 port receives its power and turns on the 3160g. Get the engine running 1st, then connect the 3160g 2nd. Batteries aren't necessary in our tools unless reading OBD1 vehicles. If it reboots, then you can go back to updating.
If this will not reboot the 3160g, it will need to be sent to Innova to be reset/reflashed, then updated at no charge. There would only be a shipping and handling cost. You can call customer service at (800)544-4124. We are open M-F 6am-6pm PST.

Is this app compatible with the INNOVA 3170RS OBD1 & OBD2 ??
The RS2 app is only compatible with OBD2 vehicles, however the 3170RS will read OBD1 and OBD2 vehicles.
I bought the device in kenya. But it doesn't work in my location
We apologize for that inconvenience! This tool supports all US and Canadian sold vehicles made after 1996 that are OBD-II compliant. If you do not know if your vehicle is OBD-II certified, you can check your emissions label on the roof of the hood, or near the radiator. Vehicles sold in other countries, although similar, are not set up the same as the ones sold in the US, and our readers may not be able to link. There are times when our readers will link to vehicles sold outside the US or Canada but this is not guaranteed.
Why am I not able to connect to my innova scanner
Sorry for the trouble! Please try the following steps. If this does not help you, please feel free to reach out to us at support@repairsolutions.com for further assistance. Turn your WIFI off on your phone. Use Bluetooth only.
1. Turn Bluetooth off your mobile phone
2. Uninstall the mobile app from your phone
3. Disconnect the CarScanner from your vehicle
4. Start your car
5. Connect the device back into your vehicle with the engine running
6. Re-install the app, turn Bluetooth and Location services on & sign back in
7. Try again.

My phone will not connect no matter what order I do this. Location on etc. Flashes green the whole time. Disappointed for sure.

Yes, you can check for updates by connecting your 5160RS to your computer after you have installed the RepairSolutions PC Link. You can find the link at innova.com/support. After the installation is complete, connect your tool with a mini USB cable to get prompted to updated your tool.

Any luck getting the tool to work on your car in Jamaica ? E g. Hyundai Tucson ? Innova doesn't guarantee it will work on cars made for other markets beside North America as the system might be setup differently and the tool might not link. Certainly a lot of money to take a chance to find out if works or not. Also without the app seems you also loose a lot of functionality/benefit that may make it not worth purchasing the tool. Plus it seems from the tool that certain high end functions have a $ amount beside it .. Don't know if that means you have to pay to use the function.
does the 6100 P graph 02 sensors?
No, the 6100p cannot graph any parameters on Live Data.
Y’all need to put on the box now compatible with 7.3 Power Stroke, or make the OBD2 reader compatible with more apps. Realistically you need to write that warning on all of your products. It would save some of us a lot headaches
