I got no intention to keep insulting the ones lying to people on aliens UFOs & BS like that but fo you really expect your followers to believe in the Hebrew texts & words? Reading Gods of the Bible by Mauro has really changed how I view the past and Bible history, and helps re-frame the UFO narrative. One of the most important books I've ever read.

I don't think the theory of ancient Alens creating us as a slave race gets to the bottom of where we came from as the question would then be asked.. where Did the alien race come from who created them?? Then ultimately if everything has a beginning what created God?? And you know what we will never know. Existance and the reason to exist is part of nature of curiosity as a species. If a dog was created what is its purpose? If a fly was created what purpose does it have for existence? If we stepped back from thinking why am I here and for what purpose we would be like a dog or a cat we just do exist. .

Anything by Biglino is pure gold. He brings scholasticism and academic rigor to topics that have for way too long been considered “fringe”. Thanks for uploading this.
Ask any real scholar an opinion about Biglino: everyone, no exception, will laugh at him. Of course I'm not talking about religious people, their opinion is worthless because of their childish beliefs and their huge conflict of interest, but find a secular scholar, better yet an atheist one, and you'll see. You clearly have no idea about any of those topics and you remain fascinated by his undeniably excellent acting skills. Having studied ancient Hebrew myself (and I'm an agnostic-atheist) I know for a fact that he is indeed a fraud who lies without any shame.

@@jeffw9465 I can assure you that every minimally competent person in the world would consider him a charlatan because for the most part he's lying through his teeth on truly elementary aspects, it's not a matter of subtle interpretations of very fine points. Since I hate partisanship I accept those dictionaries and authors that Biglino himself has been quoting for 15 years as reference, because they are indeed very good sources. Those dictionaries are the ones by Philippe Reymond, Ernest Klein, Brown-Driver-Briggs, Clark-Hirsch, and Alonso Schökel. Since I own them (and a few more) I can attest to the fact that everyone of them clearly proves that Biglino is not just wrong, he deliberatley lies. Biglino's main strength is his audience's ignorance: he exploits the fact that none of his fans knows the first thing about Hebrew and that they don't have access to those dictionaries, but even if they did they wouldn't be able to read them since words are written in the Hebrew alphabet. The same thing happens with the works of renowned philologists and historians.The ones he quotes more often, always praising them as revered masters in their field, are Giovanni Garbini, Mario Liverani, and Emanuel Tov. It's enough to read their works to understand what a shameless manipulator Biglino is. If they knew of Biglino's claims they would surely be outraged by his exploitation of their fame and work. He stops at nothing, he even falsified the work of a French cardinal, Jean Danielou, in order to support his sci-fi ideas about the Bible. To sum it up, Biglino's translations are for the most part intentionally false because he needs to support the "ancient aliens" theories on which he has based his career and fame. As an agnostic-atheist I've no problem acknowledging that "elohim" means god, "ruach" means spirit and so on, because it's their original meaning and not something invented by christian theology. Yahweh was a god just like the thousands of gods created by human imagination in any part of the world and in any historical or pre-historical era. The ancient Hebrew writers went further and turned the minor deity Yahweh into the only God, the one who made all that exists. That's pure fantasy of course, a literary creation whose purpose was not entertainment but power (both political and economic). If you want to understand how, why, and when the Bible was written, any academic book will do because all real scholars in the world agree that the Bible is an entirely human text and that it has nothing to do with an actual God but with a fictional one. As I said earlier, I accept Biglino's choice of authors so I gladly recommend Mario Liverani's "Israel's History and the History of Israel" which Biglino himself included as a reference in at least two of his books. The first half may not be an easy read if one isn't a history buff, but it's a very useful and in-depth analysis of the historical and cultural background of the Bible. The second half is more accessible and deals specifically with the Bible's content. I would like to conclude by pointing out a prime example of Biglino's art of lying and manipulation: about 10 minutes into this video he makes a comparison between a verse of Genesis as it appears in the relatively recent Masoretic text of the Bible (which was written in the year 1008 AD and is the source for every modern translation) and the same verse in the much more ancient manuscript of Genesis found at Qumran. Seeing that the verses don't match, an inexperienced viewer will consider that as the irrefutable proof that we've been lied to, that the Masoretes deliberately altered the biblical text to suit their agenda. Too bad none of what Biglino said and showed is true, and of course an inexperienced viewer can't possibly realize that. The Qumran manuscript of Genesis is badly damaged and fragmentary, and that verse has not survived (the entire chapter has been lost). So what did Biglino present as the Qumran manuscript of Genesis? A non-biblical text called "Tales of the Patriarchs" ! As if it weren't enough, it's written in Aramaic, not in Hebrew, and it's much later than Genesis. It belongs to a genre known as "rewritten Bible", i.e. non-biblical texts that took inspiration from the Bible and rewrote parts of it by adding new material, shortening or modifying existing sections or entirely omitting them. Even more importantly, the "Tales of the Patriarchs" date to a period when the Jews had stopped pronouncing the name of YHWH out of respect and no longer used it in non-biblical texts (their obsession with the sacred name was such that at Qumran there are even biblical manuscripts were Yahweh's name is omitted and replaced by four dots, or it's written in paleo-Hebrew alphabet which in those times most people wouldn't be able to read).
Thank god! For Mauro Biglino. As a former Christian I find these videos so helpful and more importantly life giving. I never resonated with the so called, theological absolutes, they just seemed so incomplete always pointing to a far greater narrative something that was far more comprehensive. This was made that much harder because Church has never been a place to engage with real questions and were never encouraged. If you did ask questions they always came with the same answers backed up by cherry picked verses from the Bible that were designed to end further conversations.

I'm a lifelong secular person but I can't stand con artists like Biglino, a guy who by his own admission only took twenty private Hebrew lesson as a hobby when he was already in his fifties. He also has a criminal record for massive financial frauds which targeted simple folks including pensioners and disabled people. All I've mentioned about Biglino's background comes from Biglino himself because a few years ago, before his new manager pushed him to go international, he was more open about his past and it was he who told that he'd only taken a few private Hebrew lessons as a hobby when he was already in his fifties, etc. He told all that to dr. Stefano Bigliardi, PhD, who interviewed him in 2016. As to his criminal record, Biglino tried to keep very quiet about it but in 2019 someone found the news in the archive of "La Stampa", one of Italy's most important newspapers. As a consequence he could no longer avoid the issue and he publicly admitted his conviction. What he didn't mention were the most awful details of his criminal actions, the hundreds of families he ruined by robbing them of all their life savings. They weren't rich people but simple folks including elderly and disabled people. It was such a catastrophe that some of his victims even committed suicide. As an Italian I could learn those details and many more by searching the "La Stampa" archive. You can do it too, it's freely accessible, and as I said it's the archive ("archiviolastampa") not the "lastampa" website which only covers current events. I especially recommend the article titled "Entrava in casa come un fratello" ("He entered our home like a brother") where some of his victims tell how devious he was, how he acted like a friend to gain their trust and get their money. It will send chills down your spine. Another interesting article is the one about the trial where the judge rebuked Biglino and his two accomlices for being arrogant and cynical even during the hearings. He didn't even pretend to be sorry for what he had done, not a word of regret for all the suffering he had caused. He has no moral compass and still to this day he lies shamelessly in order to be successful and make money. He has just become more careful and avoids unlawful behaviors, but he's every bit as dishonest as he was back then.

The first Bible was translated by 70 scholars from Aramaic to Greek. Each translation was similar to the other ones, although all of the translators were isolated from each others. This was a miracle that the Vatican failed to see. It's a pity the religious authorities resort endlessly to other translations which are never faithful to the original.

I'm glad you mentioned the distribution of inheritance. It is stated in Deuteronomy but hardly anyone talks about it when it is one of the most important passages. This may also explain as to why Yahweh is so gunho about not allowing other Elohim symbols, etc. in his territory. That said, I hate to see all the work wasted on books that have been written to deceive the world. I rather go back to the Sumerian tablets and see if I can find more of it or try to extract what's missing. At least we know that would be more truthful than current bibles.

Scripture as written in the private language today called Hebrew but then in that bible called Judith after the Judeans was formulated within the Greco-Roman world. Hence we see Plato in its narrative. The dispute in the biblical narrative was not over Elohim but that of YHWH. The Epicurean school so-called considered YHWH as a name of that which the Elohim (δημιουργοί) have had in common mainly that of a common purpose and aim. However, the Stoic school deemed this YHWH as referring to the very τοv έν. They ascribed what was otherwise a title as that which possesses ontological significance to the point of possessing its own intentionality. Each school sparred with the other appropriating the same text and using it as their own weapon against the other. The Hebrew bible then is a palimpsest -- a veritable anthology of crossed out lines, omissions, elisions, interpolations in the name of fictive authors and hence a genuinely excellent piece of literature and a classic because of this. In this way one might regard the Hebrew Bible as polemical (פולמוס or Πόλεμος).

So, is the inference, that to rapidly move in the sky like stars, it refers to how Zeus and others appeared to humans on Earth at night, as in, being inside a flying machine or perhaps beings of light? @@heiletjeThere's no relation at all between the words elon and elyon. Both are Hebrew in origin and can be found in the Bible but their meanings are completely different. Elyon means "high, upper" whereas Elon means "oak" and it has no connection whatsoever with elyon or any biblical god/elohim because it's an entirely human name: it was the name of Esau's father-in-law ("Elon the Hittite" in Genesis 26:34 and 36:2); the name of one of Jacob's grandsons (Genesis 46:14; Numbers 26:26); the name of a town (Joshua 19:43 ) and the name of one of Israel's so called "judges" (Judges 12:11). In the U.S. there is a town in North Carolina and a college both called Elon because of the many oaks in the area. In addition, the word elon and elyon when written in Hebrew are even more different than they appear in English: the first letter of elon, commonly rendered in English as an E, is the Hebrew letter called "aleph" (א) whereas elyon starts with the Hebrew letter "ayin" (ע).

Or possibly the Genesis Apocryphon:
Then Abram said to the king of Sodom: ‘I raise my hand this day to God Most High, the Lord of heavens and earth, (that) I will not take even a thread or a strap of a shoe of anything that belongs to you”
He compares this to Genesis 14:22
The Book of Jubilees and Genesis Apcryphon were found amongst the Dead Sea scrolls in Qumran possibly may provide the earliest extant evidence of what the original said in Genesis 14. Which means the name YHWH may not have been in the original text here but may possibly have been interpolated by later scribes. However there’s no way to be completely sure as sadly no extant book of Genesis chapter 14 was found amongst the fragments of Genesis in the Dead Sea scrolls.
I think it’s irresponsible for the producers not to provide sources when making videos of this nature. In all contexts a source must be provided to maintain credibility.
The producer of this video is actually that same Italian guy, an amateur with a high school diploma and a criminal record for multi-million dollar financial frauds (to be precise they were multi-billion Italian Lira frauds). He deliberately omits essential information because otherwise his tricks would be exposed. He wants people to believe that he's comparing the Masoretic text of Gen 14:22 to the true, unadulterated, original text of Genesis found at Qumran, but as you yourself pointed out the entire chapter is lost. If he were honest and admitted that he is not reading from the Genesis manuscript, his claim wouldn't have the same impact. As a person who has made a career on conspiracy theories, he needs to "shock" his audience, that's why he intentionally misleads the viewers. It's not an isolated incident, he always does that.

This is the only person Mauro Biglino whom I want to see on the Joe Rogan Podcast.I have sent so many messages to Joe ..tagged him all over the place. Joe needs Mauro.
He can't speak decent English, it would be a nightmare for Joe Rogan, and a translator wouldn't be a solution. In any case Biglino couldn't meet him in person since he can't enter the U.S. because of his criminal record.

I was slow to grasp all the meanings as it took me several viewings, incl. stopping, starting, back & forth, in order to understand what was being said by the various writings & translations. It would have been helpful had he then put the Biblical translation beside the older/original words with their translations, incl. the missing words, at the end of the film, just to bring the various differences & similarities together.
But as those Gods didn't exist, it was only that various peoples believed in those non existent Gods / were manipulated into believing in them. There was no division of earth by lottery among the non existing Gods / the non existing Elohin. The problem came from different peoples formulating their governance and fake histories around their fictitious Gods which they did or didn't believe in. So, we now have human made division - different people's with different fabricated Gods and different fabricated and embellished histories into the time we live in.
They do exist. But they were not the creator of all.

To me it's different peoples believing in and making up attributes about the different Gods they made up. Then they got their flock to believe in what they made up. Then it all further got embellished, etc. So, we now have Jews believing in a God that never was. Muslims believing in a God that didn't exist. Christians believing in a God that didn't exist. And we get them in this era all claiming that they all believe in the very same one God but differently see that one God as theirs alone and see the others as not seeing the real God.
