I had really damaged hair cut it to a pixie cut and cried and felt so ugly and I have no idea why I didn't fucking think of clip in extensions as soon as that happened it wasn't until like 6 months later I gave them a try. when I finally got them omg ... I'm irritated with how they handed the natural hair. Give her a braid out, a twist out, bantu knots, perm rods. Yes fros are nice, but I felt that was just very careless and it looks like they just put her hair out of the weave and called it a day. Ugh.

It isn't fair and yes it sounds like I'm whining buts seriously annoying when black girls are thought of either having fake hair on their head and an afro. And nothing more. There's no reason that we can't have a little more diversity and flare shown
Not only black ladies but anyone with curly hair. I remember my afro. It was terrible. Then nobody wants you to do anything new with it because it's so 'rare' It's so annoying. I want to try new things! It's my hair, not yours. Having straight hair would cure so much...
Princess Jasmine I don't think that they know how to do that lol, it just seems like they have no idea what to do with her hair. They just told her to .."Go natural!" while the others had the exact opposite of that ... such a cliche. This is a problem that a lot of women with that hair type goes through.

I think he shouldn't have shaved her hair unless she was very confident and sure about it.
And it's not as bad as the comments are making it out to be. I did the same thing to my hair and it started growing back in days.
I think he shouldn't have shaved SO MUCH of it, just a small block over and slightly behind the ear would've looked way cuter, and maybe a nice deep mahogany/plum glaze with some caramel baliage to amp up the color and give it more dimension...
She still has the cut till this day I think she was plenty confident

They legit did NOTHING to the black girl's hair. Nothing. Just removed her weave and washed it. It looks dry, matted, tangled, etc. They didn't put any conditioners, creams, stylers, nothing. Didn't try to give her some type of 'do, just let her go. Smh.

He shaved too much, she looks bald on one side of her head. I do like the sideshave/ sidecut style in general but he should have left it a little longer. It doesn't look good like that. And the blond girl with the virgin hair didn't need coloring, she needed a new hair cut and some styling. Like yeah it's the fastest way to tell a difference but I mean she still looks the same.

Sometimes, hair is people's identity. And no, I don't mean the guys and girls who are *OBSESSED* with there hair. I mean people who the only thing their confident abt is their hair. So sometimes, it's very important, and it *does* matter.
ArtWithFaith Totally agrée with you there. I believe forced cutting of hair is actually considered a human rights violation.
Also, not everyone's hair grows as fast as average. It literally took me 4 years to grow back out a side shave, and it was still only to just below my jawline. So when I get my hair cut, I know I'm going to have to deal with the consequences for at least a year. I have a friend whose hair grows super fast. Like I'll see her in the summer with a pixie cut, and by Christmas she's got a long bob. I'm not joking; that would take me YEARS to grow back. It's so not fair.

If you go to shoot a video, in which you give your permission to be cut the way they want. there is absolutely nothing to complain after.

I am so late to the party, but this stylist is dead ass wrong for the struggle state he left Daysha's hair in. I'm fairly sure her hair wasnt supposed to be styled at all. It was more so to show that natural hair can be as long and full bodied as a white girls. A lot of times black girls, as you know, are told that theyre hair isnt good when its natural and they should relax and cover it. Admittedly, it didnt look as styled as the rest but it was really done to show her that having curly free hair is just as ok as having straight hair and she should feel comfortable having her hair be the way it is the grows from her scalp.
Tayla A as a Black woman with the same texture and having a channel that was once dedicated to provide info for women like Daysha...this was foul & disrespectful. That's not even how her hair naturally grows from her scalp. Had they washed it and properly moisturized it, it would have a much better shape to it.

A Wilson Just a warning, blue and green colours are very hard to get out, I had to bleach my hair twice to get it all out (two months after I had it done) and even then I had some green-ish spots.
But if you wanna keep it blue for quite some time, go for it! I'm going back blue soon! :D
I'm going to dye the ombre from mid to the tips though, so that when my hair gets longer I can trim it off.
Good idea, oh and find a good stylist in your area to do it for you, like actually look them up online. A stylist who can do a good ombre is hard to find, but most are decent at least.

@@thereseo6008 it looks like she has a lot of cheek pitting/scarring. Frankly, she could use a good make-up makeover. Her skin is too pale and that is also drawing attention to it. And I agree, that hairstyle is a great way to draw attention to bad skin, very few people have the bone structure and good skin to carry off a shaved head.
This made me angry all the way through. His jabbering nonsense , the lightening speed of his jabbering and then the aftershots flashed by so quickly that I couldnt see them. I put the vid on slow-mo and wished I hadn't. None of the treatments improved anything, none were lovely and none were well done. I felt angry on behalf of the clients. What a betrayal of trust.

I legit felt the urge to cry for a lot of these people. 15 years EXPERIENCE with hair? Are you f--king serious?!?! These people got done dirty. Especially the girl who's hair was half shaved.
Dear god, he RUINED the hair of the blonde woman. With the other peoples' hair, at least they can have it restyled differently or let it grow out. But ash blonde like that is impossible to perfect and keep with dye, but it is easily ruined with dye, especially red like that. The original color won't come back for years. The new hair might even grow in a different color from before. What a shame. :(

I remember my hair journey. I grew up a pageant princess and won a lot of rewards. Being taken out, my hair has always been curly. When I came of age to want to do something with it, my mom died the ends. And that was about it. I grew bored of my hair, it didn't feel like mine. I cut my hair into an asymmetrical bob (My hair used to be down my back). i feel free. 💕

The first girl looks worse (and older), the shaved cut looks horrendous, the Asian girl's style is very dated, the guy looked better with facial hair, the afro was a botch job, and the red hair makes that poor woman look like a drug addict. The Latina woman is the only one who escaped unharmed.
Yeah I think he shouldn't have shaved the one girl's hair all the way (i have a side cut but it's buzzed not shaved) and also the girl he did the red on had all the redness in her face showing because of the color.

The point is, when your hair is in weaves and relaxers all your life, the hair is dry and brittle and weak. They obviously didn't know what they were doing, so they just took out her weave and used the contrast in style (when they just washed her hair) to mask the fact that they weren't accustomed to African-Descended hair types.
Yeah. The good thing is that bc her hair is relatively the same, she can do the same things with it! She can still put weaves, braid, leave it out, all sorts of styles with it! AND THAT LENGTH THO!
