Even JPEG is OK depending on the time and situation.
That's what makes it an interesting camera.
I have a DP2m but I was drooling when I saw your Plaubel Makina. I shot a Bronica Etrsi with 50, 75 and 150 PE lenses for several years but I always lusted after a Plaubel Makina W67. Then the digital era took over....
Thank you. The Plaubel Makina is a very good camera. I bought a Foveon sensor camera because the data was similar in texture to medium format film.
Yes, amazing quality especially in B&W. Wish Sigma make v2 to dp2 Merrill.

@@tetsujin96Sigma trying to make full frame Foveon sensor. I think apsc size good enough. Just need to fit big DSLR batteries. Haha

Why? I actually have dp2. Doesn’t seem enough resolution. My GRii beats it when I zoom in. DP2 falls apart zooming in
@@Chris-ey7zy The Foveon sensor is different from a typical camera.
It has a different kind of quality. A simple comparison is not possible. I think that's a good point.
@@tetsujin96 I know it’s a different type of camera. That’s why I bought it and waiting for my dp3 Quattro. I just think in this day and age 14mp isn’t enough. We got spoiled so 20mp is what I’m used to. I like taking the shot then having more room to zoom in
@@Chris-ey7zy I don't think Foveon's photos can be numerically compared to regular photos.
Especially when making it monochrome. White and black gradation.
This is a sensory issue.
And the time-consuming process of shooting makes the photo more proactive.
Last, personal sense.
