    • @lawyerlawyer1215
      @lawyerlawyer1215 Год назад +6

      @@TempestWolf1 why spread bullshit?
      First- “those rumors” where reports from the company that made the adaptors to Nvidia, and it’s been publicly shared that issue had nothing to do whatsoever with the cards , but with a faulty design with the cable.
      (Publicly shared by leakers first , reliable RUclips channels like Gamers Nexus then and last but not least Nvidia themselves)
      Which has been also addressed as already fixed.
      Second- not once was it mentioned as something that happened to the 4090ti in particular . The reports where about the 4000 series in general . Because once again , the problem was with the adaptor , not with the cards themselves.
      Third: the the 4090 has the same power draw as the 3090ti
      The 4080 16gb has the same as the 4090.
      So till the 4090ti drops , we really haven’t seen no new levels of power consumption.
      Wich further proves it isnt about reaching new ridiculos power draws , but about a bad adaptor .

    Great performance, 3 bad things about this card: 1) wiggly PCB. I can see the soddering breaking because people bent the cable too far trying to fit it in their cases and then getting the finger from NVidia saying that you broke it yourself therefore you're not eligible to refund. 2) No PCI Gen 5 (on a 1600USD card, really, NVidia?). 3) No DisplayPort 2.0 (ON A FUCKING 1600USD CARD. REALLY, NVIDIA?!?!).
    Anyway, I'll probably stick with AMD on this one; at least they have PCI Gen 5 and DisplayPort 2.0 confirmed already on their next gen. And also I'm happy to sacrifice 5% performance to get 20% discount.
    Only 3 weeks or so for their launch, hold your wallets, gents, you might be happy you did.

    Why do you keep saying you’re CPU bottlenecked?
    You’re GPU usage is 90-100% and your CPU usage is 10-30%.

    How do you figure you’re cpu bottlenecked when your cpu usage is so low?

    • @PcCentric
      @PcCentric  Год назад +3

      So, anything below 97-98% GPU util is a bottleneck. Here's it's CPU, as we know it's not RAM, SSD etc.
      The CPU util shows us the entire 16 cores, not the single core capabilities, hence why it's not say "100% CPU"

Has great future upgrade options for ram and ssd storage and the user experience is amazing. Never goes above 80 deg when on high loads (40 deg on idle) and its very quiet even when doing heavy gaming like playing control at 1600p with rtx on. No doubt an amazing, stupid fast GPU but i'm very happy with what I have and will use it as long as I can, especially since this is the first laptop that has let me do high performance and fidelity gaming. Maybe i'll a 5090 in 3-4 years after I graduate and have a job lol, but im super satisfied with my current laptop

    I think the issue with some of the games wanting to run in a small box when in 1440p is because you are on a 4k monitor. If you right click on desktop and go into display settings, change resolution to 2560x1440 and adjust scaling to 100%. Hope this helps 👍

    Jesus Christ, CP77 plays at 33FPS on the STRONGEST EVER CREATED GPU!!! Honestly, WHAT HARDWARE was used in making and testing that game back in 2020??? Two years later, it is still basically unplayable unless you use DLSS...

      Yeah it was expected as the 3090 gets around 18 fps. Also this scene is particularly more demanding than average due to Raytracing global illumination from a crap ton of light sources, if you go outside it will stay over 40fps most of the time. Digital foundry was getting 45+ fps with their 4090 at 4k ultra rt (not psycho) no dlss driving outside. Turn off rt and the 4090 maintains around 80fps at 4k ultra without dlss.

    when you do benchmarks it would be cool if you did Rust the video game benchmarks too, it has more active players than a lot of new AAA FPS games its just not viewed as the new thing but it has a loyal fanbase and is known for being really hard to run especially on high pop servers. I get around 80 avg on my 3060ti with a ryzen 5 3600 at 1080 on medium settings and it will drop down the 50s sometimes

    I feel like you are mistaken. The price is as high as it is because its not meant for the majority of people. Not that many people are going to buy this product because its not meant for most people. Thats why they always release the 90 cards first because more people are going to buy them because they come out sooner than the rest.

    4090 is a beast, you gotta pay for that premium fps (also it has some new features the dlss 3, AV1, etc)
    but if you want best $ to frame perf, its 6650xt and 6800xt (for non rt games)

    I'll say this. The budget 4K gaming would not be too far. Perhaps a RTX 9060 would do 4K 120FPs.
    So about 5 years from now, the average user can expect 4K gaming.
    Not sure what will happen to USA Electric Grid with 1800 W as the max. So maybe we could purchase one but not be able to use one lol.

    which 16 pin cable are you using, because I just got 4080 strix and I am really afraid to use the connector within the box, using lian li o11 dynamic evo and I heard the cables have issues getting caught on fire cause of tempered glass sticking to cables and bending them…
