I really hate that "You need to communicate" suggestion. I've played with randoms for years and nobody has ever had to coach me on "common sense." Especially on defense, I do NOT switch on screens because if I switch off my man, he's 100% going to score on that possession, never fails. I fight through every screen to stay on my man fr and then the mf ends up with the least amount of points on the opposing team 😂

2k needs to have a individual rating system, not just a team rating system. If the team win it should be a bonus, but if as a center get 15 plus rebounds, 5 blocks and at least 5 steals, and my pg,sg gives up 50 points. Why should that effect my game play as a center and versa versus. The system doesn't reward good play, it only rewards for points scored
What's funny is if you get a turnover, your grade drops drastically but, ballhogging pgs who shoots nothing but contested goes 2/18 grade never drops and they can stay in the game too. They can sell without any consequences whether it's constantly standing in the paint or out of bounds. 2k never does anything to them tho

100!! 2K needs to have Skilled Based Matchmaking based on Teammate Grades and Rank! Split lobbies based off Teammate Grade Below or Over B-. They need to protect your performance Grade if you finish with an A or A+.

2k has to give us a play call to activate using the Dpad to call 5 out/screen/2-3 Defense ETC….ESPECIALLY IN RANDOM REC!!!!! Let it appear on the screen or something smfh
Easy Brown and black only can play with brown and black until they reach silver and they have enough wins to play w silver and up.. when i make a new build im fighting for my life to get to silver because i know i can get better teammates (sometimes)...well better players will play with me meaning more wins...but 2k still puts you with casuals .
Bro rec match making is all jacked up. Like i didn't know there was this much stupid in the world let alone a game. Im a rec random warrior id say 60 percent of my games. Ive always been able to keep my win percentage in 60 to 70 percent range. But MOST importantly was able to have fun and as i progress find some hoopers and develop some running mates. This year its like im getting on just to get angry or just doing some sort or work. 2k finally achieved it i guess. Completely took every aspect of enjoyment out of the game. Time to start putting our hopes in 25 just like every year. Smh

Had this happen to me yesterday. It felt like a jinx from an old teammate, Started out the day playing with some gold players while I'm at silver and I had this center who played very well alongside. Playing defense, grabbing boards, hitting shots and letting me get my assists. We played 2 games and he messaged me saying he hopes I get more teammates that are good. Next two games, I have 25 combined assists and only miss 2 shots while holding my men to less than 20 points combined but have a SF that gives up 40 and a PF who gives up 39 and we lose both games to teams filled with AI's.

101 to 97 is pretty much all star weekend defense. I think the solo rec and squad rec lobby thing this yr is just a bust. Shit worked fine last year, i dont understand the need for the two lobbies. Going in with 2 or even 3 guys is terrible in the squads anyway. 4 with a bot is actually doable now that bots will hit 50%. I just wish i could tell the bot to spot up corner. Just needs to try and match 5 stacks with 5 stacks and thats pretty much it tho imo.
Thats why i try my best to get at least an A- or better grade every game so if i lose it goes down a tiny bit. Or sometimes even up if i lose because of these goofballs.. On my big I get my boards , locks up the big, and get assists set screens.. i dont even care about my points i just keep my eye on my grade and i notice i goes down because if your teammates messing up on defense.. "defensive breakdown" but you are glue to your man.. but your teammates are asleep at the wheel...getting to, and keeping a gold and Purple status is ridiculously hard playing solo..
i feel like matchmaking should go based off teammates grade first, then colors. I average an A- teammate grade in the rec. A+ to B+ B to C+ C and below stay grouped together. then you sort out the MVP’s and Golds of group 2 away from the silver or below of group 1. same for group 2 & 3. There is absolutely no reason for me to match up with any player below a B. I also feel like 2k should have a separate rec door for players overall. 60 - 74 75 - 84 85 - 92 92 + If I want to make a new build and try it out without investing too much.. i should have the option to keep him at a 65-70 overall and march up against lower players
My build just says inside out score so people don’t really know what he is. He’s 6 foot eight. He’s played one through five and rec hard enough to believe it. Yes it’s happened. I played sinner. It blew my mind but usually run as power forward or small forward, but I’m very defensive With a lot of finishing badges and what comes with having an 80 three-point rating and a 75 with a 73 free-throw so mainly if someone doesn’t pass me the ball I just set screens and pics whether it pisses them off or not and that’s how I get my points and I have workhorse turned way up so I can be the one to grab the ball I average a few rebounds and when I play with people I do better because they hit me in the right spots and actually see me cutting realize I have 24 badges 20 defensive playmaking and 19 shooting

I’ll get put with a team full of blacks while on my purple build, and play a boss battle against a team of purple packs. I have never in this 2k in theater or rec have been matched to play with a team of purples. We’ll get smoked by 40 and I’m the only one with an A grading. 2k ain’t For the weak hearted

BRUH!!! This season has been the worst for random Rec. Yep I still get on the mic to tell cats to space the floor so I can hit them. No they don't listen. I get doubled everytime i touch the ball and I hate taking bad shots. So it's normal for me now to go a whole game with 2 shots total or less. There are so many games I don't score at all and the guy guarding me think he nice but really I'm running into double and triple teams because my teammates at the wing holding hands. I keep saying I'm not gone get on the mic because it does no good. But the frustration gets to me. I can take losing. I can take guys missing open shots. But I HATE getting doubled or tripled with nowhere to pass the ball. Ish has made me slack off hard on playing 2k. Too stressful
I think they want it balanced in the rec it's random matchmaking so you can't use excuses you have to communicate not coach but just you know give your team some pump if it don't work then it is what it is that's why the for squad rec/ pro am like you said tho you shouldn't get plenty for your player performance cause your stat like and grade was great

I only played random rec last season and I would fluctuate from Hall Of Fame down to Bronze back up to Hall of fame all the time. 2K will match you with bums for days at a time 😂

I get matched with players who quit when the score is 6-8 and the game just started. Or with guys who don’t pass the ball the entire game. Or my fav. I’ll get put with a team full of blacks while on my purple build, and play a boss battle against a team of purple packs. I have never in this 2k in theater or rec have been matched to play with a team of purples. We’ll get smoked by 40 and I’m the only one with an A grading. 2k ain’t For the weak hearted
I just lost a game 2 hours ago the exact same way. I had 25 points 13 assist but the SF got 41 dropped on him 🙃and my man had 4.
Just don’t tie progression to wins and losses. Make it performance based.
Yeah, I thought the same thing. I was told that it would kick them if they didn’t play right and acted stupid and sold you thought that was anticipation of making the AI so much better upset me as well.

They definitely should change the performance meters u lose one game go down a color it takes 3-5 games to get back n your team grade go down for good plays 😢

They’ll put people against all golds and purples getting stomped, ruining the casuals experience… And why am I getting matched with black overalls as an experienced player with high performance level… then when I lose I get punished.

Realest shit. Your performance plate shouldn’t matter if someone is selling you out. Should be the individual performance and not just points, good defensive plays, turnovers, no wack fouls etc

BRUH!!! This season has been the worst for random Rec. Yep I still get on the mic to tell cats to space the floor so I can hit them. No they don't listen. I get doubled everytime i touch the ball and I hate taking bad shots. So it's normal for me now to go a whole game with 2 shots total or less. There are so many games I don't score at all and the guy guarding me think he nice but really I'm running into double and triple teams because my teammates at the wing holding hands.
I keep saying I'm not gone get on the mic because it does no good. But the frustration gets to me. I can take losing. I can take guys missing open shots. But I HATE getting doubled or tripled with nowhere to pass the ball. Ish has made me slack off hard on playing 2k. Too stressful

I think they want it balanced in the rec it's random matchmaking so you can't use excuses you have to communicate not coach but just you know give your team some pump if it don't work then it is what it is that's why the for squad rec/ pro am like you said tho you shouldn't get plenty for your player performance cause your stat like and grade was great
Yeah, all im saying is - if they're going to keep it random skill level matchmaking...then just don't penalize individual player status for wins or losses. They have to find a way to gauge how someone actually performed...I understand wins and losses matter too - but come on a 40 point double double and my performance moves backwards is crazy. It should just stay where its at.
Man, I dropped 40 in the rec and shot 16 for 16 with 8 of those shots being from 3. We still lose because my teams couldnt make a shot.
