Actually, the easiest way to be an Olympic beast is to be a rando from Turkey, rolling up and scoring a Silver Medal without any specialized equipment.
This game was actually featured in the Japanese anime Yu-Gi-Oh! Go Rush!! episode 119 Damamu is seen playing it at the game center Yudias finds him at. The episode aired on August 4th, 2024 on TV Tokyo.
If we're talking Olympic-based games, I remember Stadium Events for the NES (which got retitled as World Class Track Meet). Didn't get much chance to play it as a kid, despite it coming as a 3-pack game with Super Mario and Duck Hunt, mostly 'cause it required the Power Pad to play, and I lived in an apartment at the time, on the third floor. There was also a Winter Olympics '94 game for the SNES that I remember playing.
Doesn't matter what direction with the dpad, they all do the same thing. And you can either use the dpad or the A button in archery, just hold down until you release for the shot.
Nice, we'll have to devote a class to it before too long. I figured it's just an improved version of what is already a great game here in the original, so what's not to love?
@@VideoGames101: So determined am I to play Track & Field 2 on NES by Konami, I got the cartridge from Lukie Games, but can't seem to get the NES or SNES parts of Hyperkin Super Retro Trio to work. The Hyperkin Super Retro Trio is the NES, & the competing 16-Bit consoles; Nintendo's SNES & Sega's Genesis, all rolled into one.
There are other Easter eggs in this game. Someone already mentioned the bird on Skeet. The Spaceman that was seen on High Jump in this vid comes out on Triple Jump. There is also a gopher that pops out of the ground on Long Jump. Both appear if the last 3 numers of your jump match. Like 5.55 LJ or 16.66 TJ.
In skeet shooting the one you're playing if you score perfect the shoot the ufo at the left and then when the black bird appears shoot him on the right and left to score bonus points
My "cheating" hack was to wrap 2 fingers with masking tape and slide my fingers between A and B buttons. Max speed every time. Also, the crazed fan would come out in any event if you happened get the same score all 3 attempts. I think also if there was a tie in the racing events.

Thank you very much DJ, you and me both!

Haha well said, I just saw him.
You win a gold medal for making great videos and producing informative and entertaining content. Good job.

That's a very cool nod, ha.

Didn't know its original title was Stadium Events but I've heard World Class Track Meet, even specifically mentioned in the comments here!
4:19 What direction do you hold the dpad? Up? Down? Left? Right? Does anyone know? Also is the dpad used in archery? Thanks

Thanks. Now it’s time to set some world records!
This is a fun one but for me, Track and Field II is my favorite Olympics game to date.

You got it, thank you!
12:10 Crazed fan!
Just wanted to touch the great man that is Kevin.
The snoopy one. Just because its Peanuts and I love that comic
Nice, that's an underrated or at least underknown title.
Do track and field 2 for NES next because the hand gun supports the zapper which is optional
Nice, yeah it's basically the Skeet Shooting in Duck Hunt at that point, that's a good feature.
@@VideoGames101 clay shooting is featured on day 2 on track & field 2 from konami
@@salvatorepurello: I know it's not until November, but I give thanks to Konami every day for the content they gave us.

I forgot to mention the cute bear that gives the 3000 bonus if you tie on Hurdles and 100m.
Good call. Yeah the ties are tricky but they do pay out little fun surprises like that.
Excellent supplementary information!

Good call! This was not shown due to it being my worst event (only barely set a world record in that one).
Kevin is avenged!
This is Kevin after all the steroids.
Woop Woop!!!!
Yes!
I had this one, yep!. Also Caveman Games
Ha I played Caveman Games for the first time in the last couple few years, the concept still makes me laugh.
How do we get you more subs, I mean.. you are a genius. Prefect characters....
You're too kind JT, thank you very very much!
Pretty sure that opening theme is 8-bit Vangelis, correct me if I'm wrong
(edit) thanks you confirmed it lol
Ha yep.

Good call, Chris. Ha I love that strategy, by the way. That's definitely thinking outside of the box.
you should add 5 - call Wheaties for sponsorship and see about getting you face on the front of the box.
Haha most definitely.
How to get the fastest times... Tap those buttons extremely fast! 😅
It was a simpler time! That plus angle.
