I wonder if you could get custom lowers too for a bigger wheel. I know you're a 26 guy but if you're considering going custom with the frame, why not custom with the fork too? 10/10 content as usual
@@ytmike100those lowers still have a good bit of clearance I bet you could squeeze a 27.5 wheel in there. But the axle to crown is already so long so trying to get a proper head tube angle without a crazy high bb height would be tough and a bigger wheel would make that even trickier!

That's not entirely true, but it greatly depends on what terrain people are riding. Where I live, you're fine with 2 decade old xc bikes. Since most of the trails are still the same ( pancake country ). But just looking at the xc races, two decades ago you still had hardtails because they were 'fine' for the course. Now xc races are ridden with full squish bikes exclusively, because the courses have gotten more demanding on the equipment ( bikes ). Ofc there are other innovations which I do look forward to, seeing they are already there in high end bikes now but haven't trickled down the market really. Things like SRAM Eagle transmissions, or heck I would love to try something with an internal gearbox. Suspension wise / geometry wise, I am not in need of the latest and greatest since I don't ride the terrain those innovations are tailored to. That being said, if I ever do go full squish because I can get it cheap and I have a place to ride where it benefits from it, I will go straight to high pivot and skip the older frames from a while back. It's not that bikes have peaked already, it's more that most people riding them do not need what the marketing tells them they need. And the few who do are acutely aware, because they ride the places where the new stuff shines. Which is perfectly visible here in this video, since the less slack and shorter geometry do make these big drops a bit more challenging. On the other hand, 99% of people can push their own skills a lot before actually needing a 'better bike'. @@TheCraigy83

Wow! Sick video, best one in a while, how far you are hucking Clownshoes drop is crazy impressive to anyone who has seen it in person especially with that landing. Also cool to see Remy Morton and Rheeder admiring the boostmonster!
From many years of BMX racing in the 80's of course then a brief spot of mountain bikes before I hung it up I feel the boost monster fits your riding style all around your skill level pumps up while riding this bike compared to your other rides I watch you on. Keep on keeping on.
Was cool to watch, been following this series like a hawk. No matter what people say, thinking of what those guys did with their gear back then... even til today, Bender and Super T are still in a league of their own IMHO. Would love to see a custom make huck frame with 300mm moto fork and moto rear shock (I know there were at least a few built back in the day like that) and see what it could do.
Jordan you're videos are super amazing now, you're editing and voiceover is now top notch and I love watching every bit of your video. Thank you so much for this content!
JB AND NRML MTBR......Awsm!!! Love seeing these "collabs" of some of my fav YTrs. Another great vid, JB, and the Boost Monster is dialed as always. Loved the systems check before hitting the huge drop. Lol
As the Supermonster T is kind of a Moto Fork how about looking for a Moto Shock that could fit the frame? Or maybe some custom made spring could do the Trick as well... A whole custom frame would be the most epic thing to see happening 🤘🤘
If the spring isn't fully compressing in the rear you could add a spacer that blocks some of the coils to increase the spring rate, like what @Sprindex does with their springs.
You will want to sort that shock out before it cracks the frame. Will need a much firmer shim stack in there. If you have an industrial spring maker in your area you may be able to get a custom spring made. Sick bike, you dont need the latest bike to have much fun. Would love to ride there but on the other side of the world to me.
Jordan ,figure out a way to put dog bones on the rear shock like a sport bike ( motorcycle) it allows the shock to work to its full potential but not bottom out from travel

It might not have been the centre of attention of the video, but now I have a BIG RESPECT for old Norco frames, that A-line hasn't cracked even under that kind of abuse with the super monster's. I bet you could not do those same hucks on a Kona 😂
Don't you want to try swapping frame to a more modern one? Maybe starting from some downhill 29" frame or even building custom one? I am really interested in seeing the modern geometry 300mm suspension bike)
