Traveling northbound on Interstate 795 in Maryland. I-795 is a spur freeway nine miles in length connecting the Baltimore Beltway (I-695) to Owings Mills and Reisterstown. I-795 from the Beltway to Owings Mills opened in the mid 1980s, with the Owings Mills to Reisterstown portion opening in the late '80s.

I-795 South goes into North Carolina and ends there and turns into US 117

That's actually a different I-795. There are two distinct I-795's, one in Maryland and one in North Carolina.
