I think Jitter is my favorite. It is always nice to see the intersection of disability and mutation. I do like all of the 4 . Deathdream is really funny; which is a little unexpected considering the design. Ransom reminds me a bit of Dani Moonstar; I think he’ll end up leading their sub team. Calico got some great character moments in the most recent issues (7-9). I also enjoy the visual component of their powers.
Totally agree, what these kids do have over the new characters in Exceptional X-Men is uniqueness with their abilities, which I really like. Now that you mention it, I do see Ransom leading the Outliers, though I have felt like that was going to be Jitter's role up until now, but he's definitely more level headed than any of the others. Raid on Graymalkin really was a great spotlight on Calico, and although her acceptance of being a mutant felt a little quick to me, her horse-girl power is cool and mysterious, and also very Dani Moonstar coded - to bring it back round to her!
@OneWheelchairX i think if they recruit some new members they could have coleaders. I liked the Mirage/cannonball co-leader dynamic. I like the exception X-men they are getting a bit more focus and they feel like teens. I also just adore Axo’s power and look
I’ve been loving uncanny X-men! The art in the first few books by Marquez was what originally has drawn me to it so I was sad to see him leave for a few issues, but the story was enough to keep me coming. I think my fav of the kids is death dream or jitter. I really enjoyed the way the kids interacted in the school issue.
I often see Gail Simone tweeting about the latest pages Marquez has been doing, so I know he’ll back on the book at some point soon. Since it’s 3 issues every two months, it’s a bit more demanding and his art is certainly detailed - glad to hear that you’re still invested though! It’s taken some time but I’m glad we’re getting more of the kids and their interactions as a group. The next issue (#9) seems pretty focused on them too so I’m looking forward to it and after Raid, I’m definitely interested to see how meeting other X-Men will have changed them
Haven seems a lot safer than the sentinel factory…. On second thought I don’t think the X-men ever hang out somewhere safe. Krakoa was close. I would love to be friends with Hank McCoy.
The way Deathdream uses his powers is so cool as well! Him learning about Logan and his history from talking to spirits of the people he’s killed is so unique, I love it.

Which X-Men team would you rather be a member of: Cyclops’ X-Men or Rogue’s Uncanny X-Men?
i’m a rogue boy but i don’t like the “keeping charles’s legacy alive” bs
Definitely Rogue's team!
@l.b.r2134 it is kinda crazy that she’d be all for that, considering he’s currently in prison for mass murder 😭
You sound sure, what’s pulling you to Rogue’s team?

Deathdream is my favorite. I really love dark characters. And the first time he revealed his powers to Logan. Instantly I knew I would love character.
