    would you mind making a video discussing your whole budgeting process prior to going to Korea? If you're comfortable with it.

      good idea! well I would say that I failed to do a lot of planning ahead of time, I do have some things to say about the general pricing of things and how much I typically spent on different aspects of my trip. I'll try to get a Q and A video out as soon as possible!

    I would love to hear more of how you signed up and the admissions process for the abroad study. Things that you brought and things you wish you brought to Korea. I’m looking into going, but I’m totally freaked out about all the detail I might not know. Was it easy making friends and finding people to go out with? Because if I go I will know no one lol. I’m also really tall (6’1”) is that gonna be a disadvantage to clothing and other adventures. I would just love to hear about your whole experience and how school went for you (was it easy or hard). Were Koreans nice when you didn’t know how to speak the language? I know these are a million questions, but watched all your videos and fell in love! Thanks!! 💕💕💕💕

    I'm leaving for my study abroad in Korea in 2 days and I was just binge-watching all your vlogs to try to get some sense of what it's going to be like for me (since I'm kinda nervous right now). And I really liked watching your haul to get a sense of what souvenirs to bring my friends back (not that I'll copy, just general ideas of what's available). Honestly, this was so helpful. Teehee, I feel like I'll have so many snacks and clothes coming back that I didn't start with.
    1 quick question, did you ever get your hair done in Korea? And if so, was it hard with a language barrier to communicate what you wanted done? Or if not hair care, just something similar (like nails or piercing, etc).
    It has been so nice to watch your vlogs, thanks so much for doing that! I'm really excited to go myself! I just hope I can make some friends to enjoy my time there with.
    And I totally get you not wanting to film in front of your roommate. That would be really awkward for me so no judgement about how fast it was.

      Hi! OMG I'm soo excited for you! Hope you have so much fun:)
      To answer your question, I did not get my hair done! I did have quite a few friends who did though. They generally said that if you look online, you should be able to find foreigner friendly salons or at least ones that have a few hairdressers who can speak English. If you can't, having a super solid inspo photo to show can also work. I did get my nails done a couple times and while the language barrier did make it a bit awkward(the appointment was basically completely silent), it was easy to communicate that I wanted gel and a specific inspo photo I wanted. Typically nail salons also had examples of designs they have done in the past as well, so I just kind of pointed lol.

    Did you experience any hair loss because of the water?/

    • @SunnyWangX
      @SunnyWangX  Год назад

      Hi! I personally did not but have heard about how harsh the water can be. I stayed in the dorms so didn’t have any control over the water but if you’re concerned, you could bring a shower head with filter if you are able to change it! Good luck!

      @@SunnyWangX ahh okay because I’ve seen a lot of tiktoks on the water there making peoples hair fall out and skin break out so they have to buy filters from daiso. Thanks for answering xx

    Also compared to the U.S. do you think South Korea is cheaper or more expensive? Food-wise, housing-wise, clothing-wise, etc etc.

    • @SunnyWangX
      @SunnyWangX  2 года назад

      Hi! From my experience, South Korea is generally cheaper. I can't really speak to housing because I was living on campus in the dorms, but I was really surprised by how much cheaper eating out was. You can get a meal anywhere from $4 and you don't tip. I would say, the more upscale restaurants will still be around $20 per meal. As for clothing, I found that it was generally cheaper but that is also because I didn't really buy that much brand name stuff. If you're looking to shop for brands that would be foreign to Korea, it will most likely be about the same or even more expensive than US prices. Korean brands will of course, be more affordable than others.

    i love your channel so much , can you recommend some shops to visit in korea? :)

    • @SunnyWangX
      @SunnyWangX  2 года назад

      Thank you! and of course!
      For makeup and skincare items, I loved going to Olive Young, which is, to my understanding, the Korea equivalent of Sephora or Ulta. There are also higher end brands at the department stores which are everywhere. As for souvenirs, I loved going to Art Box, which had a bunch of the classic korean "cute" souvenirs and stationary.
      please let me know what specifically you are trying to shop for if you would like more recommendations?

    is it hard to find pants for like size4/6 27-29”?

    • @SunnyWangX
      @SunnyWangX  2 года назад +1

      I would say that Korea definitely has an issue with the lack of size inclusivity in clothing. Most clothing I would find was either one size or had 2 sizes to choose from. I am a size 27 and was able to find pants that fit. I would say, sizes above that would definitely be less easy to find. Always try pants on!
