This is what I call a Super Saiyan 3." 2:12: Rubble raining over Cell as he grows infuriated that he can't even land a hit on Gohan at Super Saiyan 2.
Incredible piece by Mike Smith. The music works brilliantly in the scene it was originally written for, which was Trunks having a flashback to his and Vegeta's training in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. Hence why the song is called "Hyperbolic Time Chamber" even though a lot of the scenes it was used in had nothing to do with that place.

I can't just let you sit here and say that this soundtrack has nothing to do with Gohan going Super Saiyan 2 vs Cell. Admittedly, it's only the part from 1:35 onwards. But Gohan DID actually unlock Super Saiyan 2 for the first time inside the Hypwebolic Time Chamber. If you think about it, it actually fits both Gohan and Trunks. Gohan for SSJ2 and Trunks for narrating how he experienced training in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. And yeah, it doesn't really involve Goku going SSJ3 vs Babidi and Majin Buu, as he trained in the afterlife to get to SSJ3... But i honestly can't think of a better soundtrack to go with such an intense moment either.

Someone with real music knowledge can appreciate and understand how the Faulconer soundtrack is good and what it does for the series, but also know about how the OG Japanese composer did things and respect that side of it as well.
