in the bay area (california), costco has occasionally stocked the small batch at around $19 (I've got a couple bottles on my shelf). Pretty similar to 1792 small batch, hint of banana, strawberry syrup-y nose, easy sipper. Haven't tried the others but they recently brought the BiB so might pick up! thanks for the review.
That’s a great price! We did this review a while back but I remember that it was very reminiscent of the 1792 profile (which was not too much of a surprise 😁). If you get the BiB, please feel free to return to this thread and let us know your assessment. Thanks so much for watching and cheers! 🥃
I just picked up the bottled in bond. I find a lot of rye spice in the taste, but a balanced sweetness. Something in between Evan Williams BIB and Early Times BIB, which I can’t find anymore. I feel the bourbon market has gone crazy, but finding a suitable bottle at Costco is my way out of the problem.
We hear ya! It seems to be a universal problem…this is a good way to find an alternative. Also, we are pretty big on finding picks of fairly common bottles. We’ve experienced store picks that are just as good if not better than some of the allocated or uncommon bottles we search for. Maybe we’re just lucky with retailers that have good palates, but it’s been one of our strategies to get higher quality but reasonably priced bottles. Cheers, Patrick! 🥃
When we saw them it was pretty much all at once for our local stores, and we haven’t really seen them for a while either 🤷♂️ it’s possible they go out in batches, as a limited release, we’re thinking. And once that release sells out, they’re gone for a while (until Costco gets more barrels from Barton 1792).

In WA state, the small batch is listed at $21.99, but by the time you add up our high special liquor sales tax it ends up costing $29.33.
Oof, those taxes sound rough. Still under $30 though, which is a good value! Cheers 🥃

I go to Costco about once a week and have never seen these in the liquor section.

Small batch was the best. Loved all of them but they sell out fast.
They’re all really good! And at a great price too. Cheers! 🥃
It would cost Costco extra money to print different labels for each barrel, and slow down the bottling process.
That would make sense!
Single barrel is not released yet this year
When do you think it would be released ?
We have seen Bottled-in-Bond at a couple warehouses in our area, so hopefully SiB is coming soon! 🤞
