I own a pristine '94 Z28 with 48,000 miles. T-tops and every option. Love it to death. The LT1 is an awesome engine. Just a tick behind the LS1. The best cruising Camaro I have owned yet. If you get the chance to get a nice one do it. They are appreciating fast! Great video always love your stuff dude. !
@@King5150Ed LMAO 😂😂😂 Stock for stock the LS will beat the shit outta the LT. Everyone knows you can mod a car and beat a stock one but let's mod an LS and see how that turns out!! Speed ain't nothing but money, how fast you wanna go?
This was and is still = to a low budget Ferrari in certain cities mostly the South.I came close to getting a 94 that had all kinda SLP goodies. Im still on the lookout but keep finding 3800. Good vid
And got surprisingly good fuel economy. 260HP was pretty good for an American V8 in the mid 90s but many people suspect they were under-rated. They're simple and easy to tune.
We have this car in Corvette blue, with the WS6 front clip. ABSOLUTELY the most favorite car my wife and I have ever owned in our 50 years on this earth! ❤ Thank you for sharing this love for these amazing vehicles! ❤❤❤
The WS6 option package wasn't offered until the 1996 model year. Prior to that, the only way to get a ram air hood was to buy an SLP Firehawk or the Comp T/A made in partnership with BFGoodrich. The reason this particular car is a Trans Am GT is because it had the big wing. If you didn't get the GT option, your Trans Am came with the shallow wing of the regular Firebird. The LT1 GM put in the Caprice/Roadmaster had iron heads and less HP. The F-Body LT1's were more in line with the C4 Corvette LT1.
I'm impressed there's no cracked interior (not the new factory parts added) to almost no rust anywhere like a traditional General Motors vehicle. This thing must have been stored more than driven.
Damn it. I legit was gonna message you about my 95 Trans Am. Ahh well, either way, the way you described it, the friend/family thing...absolutely perfect!
The 4th gen Trans Am was my dream car when it came out in 93 but I was 20 years old at the time I couldn't afford the payments or insurance. I did end up owning a few different 4th gens years later and that Delco radio was the first thing to get swapped out in every one.
Had a 97 Camaro SS with this engine. The optispark distributor was horrible and under the water pump. What was GM thinking? This car taught me a lifelong lesson. Never own a car with white wheels and white leather seats.
I remember going to the dealership in ‘95 to get his white Trans Am. It was a beast of a car at the time and once he put the Borla exhaust on it, it sang.
I always thought the hood nostrils and wing on 90s Firebirds were ridiculous compared to the Camaro but the engine and chassis make up for it. This would spank a Mustang GT. I love how GM didn't give you a choice of where the air goes when the A/C is on. Good old dumb GM decisions. Agreed that 90s GM had the most comfortable seats.
I've had 9 f-bodies. 84, 85, 87, 88, 89, 94, 96, 98, and 2000. The LT1 feels faster off the line and seems like it has more torque until the LS1 gets into the rpms. Then it's not even close. Just for driving and having fun the LT1s low end torque makes it a blast. The biggest problem with the LT1 is the lack of OEM parts available today. No new Optispark distributors is a real problem. Also no factory Valeo clutch kits anymore. When my 96 has any major issues it's getting an LQ9 I have ready to go.
I had a red 96 T/A & a Silver 95 Formula. Both automatic with 3.23 rear axle. Both ran 13's in the 1/4 mile with only mod being an open air filter. The WS6 was not until 96 not 95. These Ponchos' were runners ! you could bury the 160 speedo. Seriously fast cars
Hi Zack I've seen all your videos and shooting cars is one of my favorite RUclips channel. The way you review about car is so good. Keep up the good work bro! May you have millions of subscribers. Stay blessed.🙂👍🏻
As a lifelong f body guy I feel bad it took me so long to comment on this video. I love my trans am firehawk. I still get compliments on it. The trans am featured looks incredible!
I had my radio stolen back in the 90s, so the theft-lock would have been useful in my Altima, but I don't know who back in the day would break into this car just to steal the radio and not drive off with the car itself.
Next time you review an GM Fbody . Review a 1998 to 2002 Pontiac Trans am WS6 with a 6 speed manual . The ultimate Fbody besides a Blackhawk and GMMG ( ZL1 )
Amazing cars! I bought a 97 formula with 70k miles on it with my hard earned cash the week i graduated highschool, i fully intend on owning and maintaining that car for the rest of my life.
First off Loved the video as a Trans am owner but ….. There is a slight problem about the info that was given The Ram Air WS6 didn’t reappear back until 1997 … The GT was virtually a dumbed down version of it without the performance gain …. “ Firebird “ = V6 base model Formula / Trans am = V8 Saying “ Firebird Trans am “ is like saying “ V6 V8 “ ….
BEST LOOKING '94 EVER - THE TAN INTERIOR IS THE BEST!! CHECK OUT MY KITT INSPIRED '97! I NEED TO FIND WHO MAKES THE HALO LIGHTS ON YOURS CAUSE MINE KEEP DYING, AND ALSO YOUR LED HEADLIGHTS ROCK!! THE COOLEST THING IS THE BIRD LOGO BEING BLACK COLORED ON THE INSIDE - NOT JUST PAINTED OVER....
They only made the trans am gt one year, in 1994. I had one. Even said it on the window sticker. The gt just meant it had all the options. The top trim level
So freaking cool that Jack Black's son reviewed a 4th gen Trans Am!
Love the 4th gen birds.
The stuff dreams were made of
GEN 4 Firebird/Formula/Trans Am are absolutely breathtakingly bold and beautiful!!!
My favorite by far
To each his own they say.
I prefer the KITT with ttops brought to you by third gen gang. ☺️

Got a 95 5.0 mustang gt convertible REALLY consid trading for a 94 Trans am
.... and if you install a set of long tube headers like I did on my 97, you leave LS1's in the dust
air pump delete, egr delete, cat delete, tune..... not even a question LS1 cannot touch them if you do this

I do not care about the auto transmission or the engine... Sweet car.
Just seeing someone has the car and keeps it in running condition. 👌
I have a 95 Trans Am with ram air that I've owned for 19 years. I added the hood and airbox in 2008.
Beautiful TA! I've owned fourth gen Firebirds for 23 years and currently have 4. They aren't perfect, but I still love them and drive one every day.
4 😮😮😮😮
Love these gens cause the price hasn’t hit the roof yet . But the Smokey and the bandit years are what everyone thinks when say trans am
This was and is still = to a low budget Ferrari in certain cities mostly the South.I came close to getting a 94 that had all kinda SLP goodies. Im still on the lookout but keep finding 3800. Good vid
That engine in a Caprice or roadmaster was a beast
Lol no it wasn't. It was completely overrated and sooo slow.
And got surprisingly good fuel economy. 260HP was pretty good for an American V8 in the mid 90s but many people suspect they were under-rated. They're simple and easy to tune.
My dream car us a 02 ws6. I've had a 84, 85, 87 and my last was a 79

Of course it's been stored, it's 19 years old with 66k miles. Keeping a car in a garage does wonders for interior quality.
Damn it. I legit was gonna message you about my 95 Trans Am. Ahh well, either way, the way you described it, the friend/family thing...absolutely perfect!
You can still submit! I review similar cars, I just usually want to wait a few months between them!
The owner has some nice tastes, i like the subtle cosmetic changes like the painted bird in the front and the mirrored "Pontiac" in the rear

I've always just thought these 90s Firebirds and Camaros looked so great.
Love the review! I just got an f body Camaro and this one really hit home for me

Never really been a big fan of these, (take em or leave em) but this is not only a great example, but I want it!
Love old Pontiac’s
Just bought one last week!!!! I’m so excited
350 cid LT1 was first introduced on the C4 Corvette and not on the Roadmaster.

Don't forget about the firehawks
Always wanted one of these but hearing about working on the engine being a pain always pulled me away
It’s really not bad. Ls or lt1. I have a 2000 ws6 and some things are annoying but nothing to horrible. Worst thing is the rear spark plugs .
Only the spark plugs are difficult
Get a third gen easier to work on and similar handling
lol.. i remember the little transmission perform. Early sport mode!!!

Saying “ Firebird Trans am “ is like saying “ V6 V8 “ ….
Love your video!
I almost bought one of these but picked up a Camry because I needed something "practical" for work.
I currently own a 1994 Pontiac Firebird Formula V8.
I do too!! Needs some work on the engine but I can’t wait until it’s fixed
About time !
very clean looking trans am!!
One of the best looking cars iv allways been a sucker for a WS6.
Those bottles weren't around then.
My dream car.
What a beauty 👍👍
I really wanted one in high school, but my parents told me that it was “too old”
I had a 1973 Firebird. Was it a great car? No, but it was my favorite car so I gave it a lot of latitude.
lol this car is 2 years older than me I love it!
No mention of the horse power?
275 stock.
So awesome
Looks good
I love the trans am and firebird
I didn’t even know Trans Am GT was a thing
LSX plus Turbo 400. Resto-mod
Personally, I like the Formula front ends better. Just a personal preference. And the Formula's were approximately 100 lbs lighter.

LT1!
*perfect proportions...
it's just trans am. nice trans am tho.
I think that one made too many trips to the Pepboys.
Rolled one
Whoever modified this car shouldnt be allowed around cars again
Why?
Technically the firebird with a v8 would’ve been called the formula. So in my opinion if your have a v6 it’s just called a firebird….
Man i want one so bad
who makes cars like these anymore? SAd but true.
For now, you can get something like this from GM, Ford, and Dodge.
Leaky roof
Better get them catfishes while u can z28🐅🦈😴

TUFF
Comes standard with squeaks and rattles from the poorly-assembled cheap GM interior.
I like that they didn't charge for it.
@@walterwright8454 It was almost a GM exclusive. I owned or rode in many other brands back then, and none offered that GM experience.
My 97 bird is way more quiet and comfortable compared to the 1979 TA's I've owned.
Seats are not comfortable I own one nothing plush about it
I cringe each time he says gt
No such thing as a Trans Am GT they did make a Trans Am GTA never Trans Am GTA
It was a 1 year only appearance/ performance package made by Magna Decoma & offered through GM dealerships.
