  • Kawhi Leonard may be the quietest MVP candidate in league history. Any casual fan realizes that he is among the top ranks in the NBA, but very little truly understand how great he really is. It takes an in-depth exploration to genuinely see, so check one out above!

    His offensive skill set reminds me of Michael Jordan. Obviously, not as aggressive but their mid range jumpers are similar. Kawhi is still on a learning phase but when he reaches his peak, it'll be over for everybody. Not to mention, the dude plays for Spurs system. He's basically the combination of pippen and Jordan lol

      Jordan uses his emotions as fuel though....I know Kawhi's personality is different but hopefully he has the same burning passion Jordan and Kobe did even though he does not show it.

      Prettyboyretard ll honestly his dead silent thing irritates people so much though. And not in a way that might get a fire under them like trash talk. But in a pure frustration kinda way, where they are crying to the refs instead of getting back on D lol.

    • @ArkbladeIX
      @ArkbladeIX 6 лет назад +10

      Prettyboyretard ll if he trash talked to the level of someone like MJ Ben mclemore would be out of the league lol

      @brachavo1833 6 лет назад +19

      jemanuel Yeah he's not affected by anything and that could be a trashtalk to the trashtalker. It's effective to leave your emotions at the door and just perform.

    • @DownloadEvony
      @DownloadEvony 6 лет назад +3

      Chris Johnson but do you not see like the players get deflated by that sometimes. They are so frustrated they go bitch to the refs. And start to slump and get irritated. I love that, but it's only doable when your defense is as high level as him.
      Nothing wrong with trashtalk though. That works too lol. GP was as high level as they get defensively and his talk was effective.

    I was sitting behind my kitchen table, eating breakfast and wanted to watch something good from youtube. Usually NBA players mix videos have agressive music and the video has too many effects, so I didnt want any of that.
    But this video here got me rethinking. Firstly the soundtrack got me to stay and then I noticed some cool font and overall the build-up of it was very smooth to watch. I really liked that video and now I like Kawhi even more and he sure is interesting to watch. Didn't also know about all those details about him.
    It was a great choice of breakfast videos for sure. 10 points!

    Great videos! It points out a lot of things that I never noticed. Love the music! Kawhi was already a great defender and now he can catch and shoot, shoot the post fadeaway, pull-up, and take people off the dribble. I bet Tim Duncan taught him how to shoot that 2-foot floater. He shoots it just like Duncan did.

    • @TheLegend-mu5hh
      @TheLegend-mu5hh 7 лет назад

      Leo_Cerberus Yes I understand that. I am in sixth grade playing division one 12u basketball, I play the point guard position but average around 25 I go to all these camps and etc. I'm fricken good..... ok my point is that most the point guards I play are around 4'8 I am 5'3 so compared to my opponents I'm big, I am also VERY above average athletic player I could jump to touch higher mid net which is like 9 feet ( or not ) which is why still being not that tall with the position I play I can try to Mimic the play style of Kawais with the post fadeaways and his defense

    • @PyroInferno110
      @PyroInferno110 7 лет назад +1

      Ryan Gonzlaez height dont mean nothing...by strength im talkin about how much u weigh and stuff...and if u eat healthy and can stay in the game for 2 quarters but ur pretty young so ur gonna get taller either but there are people below 6'0 that can dunk

    • @TheLegend-mu5hh
      @TheLegend-mu5hh 7 лет назад +2

    i love this channel and series but one thing i would like to see is how these individual player strengths might apply (or disadvantage) players of different skill level or stature. i mean it's all and good having a detailed insight into how an elite player like kawhi but i cant help but wonder how the same skillset or decisions would affect my game if i were to apply the same fundamentals (i am 6'2). for example, kawhi's defensive stance allows him to attack his defender without exposing the passing lane because of his great length and speed, but this would not work for me because i just do not have the length to cover as much ground as effectively as someone who is 6'7, let alone kawhi leonard. maybe comparing to such lanky athletes is a bit of a stretch, but even when comparing to a player of more similar stature like chris paul who is 6'0 (again using me for comparison, i am slightly taller than paul), an average player still cannot pull off shots over longer defenders the way he does. would really love to see videos covering this sort of thing so an everyman baller like me can identify the discrepancies between us and these incredible athletes and improve his game! thanks for the amazing videos!

    one of the most underrated aspects about kawhi's game is that he may be the most fundamentally sound player in the nba on both sides of the court. he's definitely got great physical gifts and anticipation which helps him a ton, but nothing he does looks at all fundamentally bad or off-balance.
