@@Rogue-76 i was talking abt the Lee Enfield MkIII (SMLE), not the 1917 Enfield. But now that you mention it I totally realize they're talking abt the 1917
The Lebel definitely had the nicest irons of the bunch, really clean and simple. Strangely the SMLE sights always seem to throw me off, what with those prongs on either side of the front post. Not so much with the Enfield - probably because of the rear aperture!
@@Immafraid The 1917 is a British designed rifle originally the p-13 experimental later called the enfield no3 mk1 made to replace the SMLE with a new round 276 enfield round but then world war 1 happened and never got adopted but still mass produced the rifle which was the p-14 chambered in 303 then later re chambered for 30-06 for U.S. use in 1917. The 1903 a3 springfield took a lot of the features from the m-1917 after ww1. This is also why the lee enfield no4 MK1 has aperture sights and a heavier barrel.
I have two Comments in One: 1.) At first, when I got this gun in game , it was bit tricky to use because of its superior sights but once I got used to the sights I started to understand the Enfield 1917 more plus using it frequently. I could see why the United States AEF used this as their primary rifle even though the 1903 was the standard despite the weight or simply how heavy it is when America joined. 2.) The skins that I’m noticing that you equipped are the Company K, Unknown Solider, and Cenotaph skins. -
People say sometimes that they don't like the irons, but while they are not as good as the G98 in my opinion, I find these iron sights pretty good anyway.
I know this is a very late comment, but I did want to ask: why do you prefer less zoom with this weapon? I personally thought it made more sense to use the speed of the rounds to their advantage with a higher zoom for further shots, but it seems oddly more useable like this
Ya they suck. Like every rear sight in this game. I tried to virtually larp like I was in the movie 1917 with it but the rear sight blades of all boltys are absurd and with the Enfield the front and rear are bulky af
I either use this or the M1903 Experimental. Love the American bolt action rifles.

The enfield is british

The cycling animation is buttery smooth on the American rifles.
0:58 Me everytime i play as a scout
Same here. The Russian 1895 I obliterate people with though. I can use the sights on it but the gun in this video… the sights throw me off
Morning! Loved sniping with irons in BF1. Way better than scopes. Lebel was my baby

@@Foddeur SMLE was my go to until I got the lebel. Martini Henry was amazing to run with an obrez pistol. So powerful
@@Foddeur The SMLE has such an amazing magazine but Its sights aren't amazing to me. I love the Gewehr 98 sights but it has only 5 rounds.
I wish the name on the Rifle would change to P.14 when playing as Britain .
Love it how the sights almost look like the m1 garands sights.
Good on you for noticing that, in fact the first generation of Garands testing/evaluation rifles did use the 1917's sights.
Yep...the M1917 actually inspired the use of aperature sights in most US Service rifles. The M1903A3, the M1 Garand, and the M1 Carbine.

They should've made the rear aperture ring thinner imo. when I'm looking through my m1917 it doesn't obstruct my view that much
or position the rifle a little more forward, the stock has the rear aperture a couple inches away from your face.

If the gun wasn't so pixilated I'd use it
Terrible iron sights.
They have strangely grown on me, after all this time.
The m-1917 was know for having the best sights of the war this Rifle was made to replace the SMLE
