How to install Ikea Kallax door insert

Do you want to install Ikea Kallax door insert and you're wondering how to do it quickly and without hassle? Even if you have very little (or no) experience you will be capable of finishing the task yourself. However, sometimes, even with a manual in hand, you might be a slightly confused how to turn the flat pack full of bits and pieces into a nice storage unit you have seen in the shop. You can't afford to make a mistake, either. The Ikea Kallax door insert is rather fragile and can be easily damaged or scratched due to their low sturdiness. Once you have screwed all the bits together, it's not a great idea to dismantle them and start the job all over again.

I found this video saved heaps of time because I used my drill instead of hand screwing - a nightmare trying to keep everything straight otherwise. One extra tip is that the screw type is NOT Philips it is PZ2 screw bit.

I came to this video after struggling with one insert for hours. I've done them on 3 other units a couple of years ago before this one and they were never easy, but this time they were especially hard. Getting down low to the ground to do the bottom ones is the worst part. I watched your video - it's very good, but I did exactly the same as you and It was nearly impossible! The backs and sides of the inserts are too flimsy and continuing the screws through the walls of the unit to attach them without pilot holes is a nightmare. You need a bit of muscle! Probably easier for men, or women who've worked out a bit more than me.
