Baltimore bridge collapse: Second of six missing workers named - as divers search river for bodies

- The second missing construction worker who fell into the river as the Baltimore bridge gave way below him has been named as Maynard Sandoval.
The 37-year-old, a father of two, is one of six men on the Francis Scott Key Bridge fixing potholes when it collapsed after being struck by a 289m-long cargo ship - the Dali.
The first missing person identified earlier was Miguel Luna, a 49-year-old father of six, from El Salvador.

That poor woman, literally seconds from death. Prayers to the families who lost loved ones.
I live a few minutes from the bridge. I took it twice a day. I can't get these guys and these images out of my head. At the end of the day we're all just people trying to make our way in this world. My heart is with their families. Thanks to everyone sending thoughts and prayers their way.
Neither can I and I live in London Uk. It is saddest moment specially seeing tge pain families going through. The photos released of dead men made ne cry as they look such kind hardworking family men and never deserved this ending. Just hope govt looks after families...😢😢😢❤❤❤❤
ERROR. Miguel Luna one of the two workers is not from Mexico. He was originally from El Salvador.

Not one single NEWS outlet has inquired what is being hauled aboard that vessel? How severe is the damage to the monstrosity? Why were there no barriers or defences of the bridge supports to stop them being rammed?

They also aren't mentioning whether they were illegals. One way or the other. Its a valid question considering if they were illegals they are working on the US Critical Infrastructure without proper vetting. Is that a safe thing to do???? Something is amiss. God Bless the families.
Aprox 700+ tons of hazardous material per NTSB. There is also a breach in some containers and a sheen on the water. Some of the hazardous material are lithium batteries.
Why do they need to know? Ships use the bridge DAILY just this one had lost controll and momentum carried them into the support.

If they were illegals, they weren't vetted to work on Critical US infrastructure let alone come into this country. Is that a safe thing to do. Just thankful this didn't happen during a busy period of the day. That would have been hundreds if not thousands of people killed.
